“Stayed 1 night as going to Wedding Reception nearby.Our room was large and airy with a nice outlook, tastefully furnished and immacculately clean. Enjoyed a tasty breakfast before we left. Our hosts were attentive, friendly and helpful”

“Primrose House was a lovely little BnB in a very nice area. Susie was very welcoming when we arrived, showing us into the property and letting us know everything we needed. The room was spacious, with a kitchenette and beautifuly decorated. Breakfast was great with local produce and eggs from the garden. We all enjoyed the fresh homemade bread! Susie & Paul's dog, Chip, was very sweet and well behaved. Thank you Susie and Paul, it was lovely to meet you both and you are wonderful hosts.”

“It was quiet, picturesque and relaxing. A lot of the hard work was taken out of staying by the fact the hosts provided bedlinen, towels, cutlery and crockery, shampoo, conditioner. All i had to do was bring myself and my clothes. There was a folder of information all helpful and i was 8 minutes from a beautiful town with amenities. I also lived the fact that Wifi was not always available. Definitely going back”

“Interesting menu, lots of intriguing variations on standard pub grub. I had this chicken supreme with chorizo on the side. Delicious. There were so many different flavors on the plate I was really impressed. Lovely staff and fast service too.”

“Alistair made us a bespoke 4 week trip to Singapore and Australia for our honeymoon, travelling on 5 flights, and at 13 hotels. He listened to everything we wanted to do and booked it all in such a smooth process. Whilst travelling everything was all sorted with no issues. “Absolutely fantastic! We have just come back from a short break and can't fault the experience. We stopped in Tern which is a beautiful pod, I really appreciate the large mugs for morning cups of tea! The pod is well kitted out with everything you might need including towels and robes. Me and my partner are both 6ft+ tall and found the bed and shower to be tall enough which is a bonus! The hot tub was lovely and the privacy shelters are great, we didn't feel overlooked at all. The site is small which makes it feel idyllic and as though there's only you and those around for miles. The lake was flooded when we stayed which means that we will only have to book again as my partner, having now seen the size of the fish, would love to spend a day sat fishing. We used the bar area in the morning for a quick game of pool and I imagine this would be a great place in future! The owners are lovely and made check in quick and easy! We made use of the discount at Tom Browns and had a lovely meal to celebrate my birthday. The pods are also well situated for sunbathing, if the english weather allows!. On our final morning we had two ducks come and sleep outside the pod and we loved watching them interact with each other. There is also a cat that visits the site who loves a bit of fuss and sunbathing! An excellent stay and I will recommend it to everyone I know! We will be returning!”

“A fantastic little pub with a great atmospher and a great selection of beer. We stopped while on a walk and having walked past the two other pubs in the village we couldn't resist the woodlark. It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and the out door seating area was packed, booking a table to eat would be esential. We didn't eat but the menu looked good and we'll be back next week to give it a go.”

“I have rarely experienced such courteous, kind and thoughtful staff. They really were exemplary and happy to meet every one of my needs. I was there for 3 nights for some rehab after a hip replacement which I was receiving daily at a physio practice. The accessible room was brilliant with its flat access shower and very comfortable beds with excellent quality linen and pillows. The breakfasts were delicious and always freshly cooked . My only suggestions for improvement are maybe a refurbishment the inside of the lift, And perhaps an additional shelf near the sink in the ensuite bathroom as when your mobility is affected you need to be able to reach out for things easily. A big thank you to everyone at the Townhouse hotel who made my stay extremely pleasant.”

“Food was great: extensive menu and homemade desserts. Breakfast sandwiches used quality ingredients and you could really taste the difference. Room was clean with great WiFi and comfy bed. Location is great for accessing central Newark with complimentary parking which saves you. All in all a great experience, lovely family that run the place. Very hard to find somewhere like this these days!”

“The Falcon Inn is a real gem. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, making you feel genuinely welcome — a true home away from home. It’s in a great location: easy to reach and close to urban centres, including West Midlands Airport, yet it still retains the charm and atmosphere of a traditional English countryside pub and inn. There’s plenty of parking for both pub patrons and guests. The food, both at breakfast and dinner, is varied and very tasty. A perfect spot for either a business trip or a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back.”

“An amazing out of this world Anniversary treat an overnight stay and full tasting menu experience. I could never find enough wonderful words to describe how much we enjoyed our visit. The service and staff were fantastic over and above any normal experience. But the food deserves its own range of superlatives the chef's are without doubt incredibly talented and a credit to Sat Baines ( who was in the kitchen) If you ever want to try an unforgettable experience this is it well done and thank you.”

“Everyone agrees the rapids are the best thing about Center Parcs. So much fun. And even better at night! Just wish they hadn’t removed the coloured ball style lights, and replaced them with bright white LED ones. The coloured lights really added to the atmosphere.”

“Fabulous hidden gem of a boutique hotel - easy walking distance to everything in the city centre. We stayed here whilst visiting our daughter at university here for her birthday. Great quirky individual rooms and fabulous breakfast!”

“We stayed in Giant's view this weekend and it was amazing! The pod's are beautifully decorated and well maintained. The hot tub was a lovely addition. I love all the little extras, the fairy lights, the booklet with local restaurants, the welcome basket and the robes! The site is lovely and clean and very safe with secure gates and you have your own access code. The pods are very private and not to close to other guests. Can't wait to book our next stay!”

“Excellent Stay at Bondgate Hotel I recently stayed at the Bondgate Hotel in Castle Donnington for a business meeting and had a fantastic experience. The room was incredibly comfortable and clean, with a modern and stylish design. The shower was powerful and refreshing, and the breakfast facilities were top-notch. I was pleasantly surprised to find a great pub and an excellent Indian restaurant within walking distance. The free parking was a huge bonus, making it easy to come and go as needed. I would highly recommend the Bondgate Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Castle Donnington.”

“Kelham house is out of this world and made our happily ever after so much more happily! The team at Kelham are nothing short of AMAZING! We are so grateful for all your kindness, welcoming and personal touches everyone had. You guys made us feel so comfortable and created such a perfect day for us. Nothing was too much or any pressure. They also created two ceremony venues for us, with the hope we could get married outside and luckily 2025 March weather held out for us. From the staff member handing me a tissue prior to walking down the aisle, to the check ins to see if everything is ok. “Our first time doing a Center Parcs holiday and absolutely will be returning again. A wonderful (if somewhat pricey) half term break for the family. Our 2 and 10 year olds had an absolute whale of a time, and my wife and I came back feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Our cabin was clean, well laid out and had all the accoutrements needed for a fully self catered holiday. We did eat in many of the restaurants which were quite expensive for what they were, but with the exception of The Dozing Duck (which had the worst steak I've ever had the misfortune of eating), kept the family happy. Activities were great for our 10 year old. Spa was really nice. Site was easy to navigate on bike and very peaceful. The pool was amazing, with plenty of slides and activities for all ages. Pro tip: for the raft slides, it's quiet after 7pm, so evening vists are recommended. Changing facilities were surprisingly clean for being so busy. All in all, top tier holiday. Obviously far cheaper to do during term time, and pricey during school holidays. But I would happily pay that premium to avoid airport hassle.”

“Stayed here a few times now and always found the rooms clean and warm with comfortable beds. As for the bar area, plenty of real ales with 3 on while we stayed. Food, was fab. Both breakfast and evening meal cooked to order. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Tip: If you fancy a pint in the evening getting back early, as sometimes they close if not busy.”

“Went for the beautiful carvery on Sunday. Melt in the mouth meats, and all the veg. Lovely bar staff and extremely pleasant young girls in the carvery. Great value, will be coming back very soon !!”

“Played both courses over a weekend and they were in fantastic condition. Fairways were well looked after and the greens rolled smoothly. The staff in the clubhouse were welcoming and the breakfast before tee off set us up nicely for the day. A proper golfing destination and I will be back.”

“Wow what a lovely hotel. From the lobby to the bar area and up to the bedrooms. Beautifully decorated, very modern areas to have a chat and a drink with friends. Our bedroom was bright, spacious and well appointed. Bath towels and linen were lovely, white and really soft. The bed was super comfy. The staff in the hotel were excellent. If we are back in Nottingham we would definitely stay again.”
