“Stumbled in looking for some naan breads, what an experience, such a warm welcome, it was amazing to watch the naans being cooked in view, we felt like we were on a culinary experience. So different from the restaurant we had just picked our curry’s up from. They didn’t want us in the restaurant spoiling the aesthetics… and would not make us the naans we had forgot to order! The naans we were received were the best any 6 of us eating had ever tasted! Better still the owner informed us he was owner of Tandoori Nights, Shardlow now known at Kitchen 7. We’ve always been to Tandorri Nightsand will be sure to visit both establishments again! Thank you for a lovely experience Sugar and Spicy, see you soon.”

“Papa John Long Eaton never disappoints when I’m craving a quick and tasty pizza. The crust is soft and chewy, the toppings are always fresh, and that garlic sauce is addictive. The staff was friendly and the pickup was fast and smooth. Definitely my go-to spot for a reliable pizza night!”

“1st time I’ve eaten at the Cods Scallops this evening. Ordered the cod & chips with sides of mushy peas & curry sauce all washed down with their own “Scale Ale” beer and have to say I was seriously impressed. Delicious and generously portioned fresh fillet of cod in a very light crispy batter, chips golden brown and crisp with a light fluffy centre. Just the way they should be! Mushy peas were just like grandma used to make! Absolutely delicious! All cooked fresh and piping hot! These guys know how to do it right! Absolutely Delicious! Top marks to the Cods Scallops! Very happy customer and will be back soon!”

“What a lovely pub in a lovely location overlooking the River Trent, with tables and chairs on lawns between the river and the pub. The Erewash canal is to the side of the pub with it's fascinating lock gates and other interests. We drove up by Campervan from our South Somerset home to visit family members in Beeston. There were no campsites near Beeston but searching for Pub Stop-overs we found The Trent Lock Pub (formerly The Navigation Inn.) We phoned ahead, got the thumbs up and arrived 5pm. We selected a parking slot at the rear of the car park looking onto grass land and trees. We invited two family members for dinner and we ate at 7.30pm (the pub opened at 6pm) The food was superb and we didn't have to wait long for it. I had the chicken salad with avocado and bacon plus a side of sweet potato fritters. Incredible flavours!The others had Salmon and onion fishcakes with shrimp sauce with broccoli and other vegetables, which they enjoyed. Wine was a nice Sauvignon Blanc. The service was good and the staff were pleasant so what else could one ask for. So we will come Pub Stop-Over camping at the Trent Pub every time we visit Beeston and we know we'll get good free camping and bl__dy good food.
