“I love this venue, been to a decent number of comedy shows here and they've always been good fun. It's a small and intimate venue, I'd guess it's less than 80 capacity so there's not a bad seat in the house. Drinks are cheap and there's a decent selection of local beers which includes Bowman Ales.”
“Absolutely awesome 4 days. Hosts i found to be really warm and friendly folks. Accommodation and setting was perfect. Everywhere you look or walk you are enveloped by the most beautiful trees, so much so that after a few days it almost feels daunting to literally step back out into the 'real' world. Almost all the conveniences of home, yet felt proper rustic because of surrounding views and use of beautiful waney edged timber. All the accommodations were occupied yet still felt like the only ones there, loads of space and privacy. Hot water showering, outdoors with the canopy of trees open above you is a really special touch. The fire bowls they use are incredible, i bought one two days after returning back to London. The walks and trails around the property are great. Found a beautiful viewing platform tucked away in the trees, which we then visited again the following day with some food and drink, spending a lazy afternoon boozing, held by the surrounding forest. And of course if you are a dog owner, your dog will be the happiest you've seen it in while. Now that i have found Adhurst, i will definitely be returning as often as possible. Alison and Guy, thank you for sharing this special place with others.”
“Love the Home-Start Family Hubs on Fridays lunchtime, free to come and no need to pre book, definitely check it out!”
“Very nice historic theatre. Bar is really good with a great mix of fairly priced drinks. Went to see the panto, Rapunzel, and really enjoyed it! Great fun for all the family. All the main cast are amazing, but I have to shout out Rubella and Jojo, who never put a foot wrong and were so good with the crowd! Dancers and secondary cast also knocked it out of the park! The only thing to bear in mind is the stage is up a fairly large flight of stairs, but if that is no worry, I definitely recommend the venue and the show.”
“Two of my children are involved in the dance classes that Abstract have to offer on Hayling Island. Both Teachers have been Amazing!! with the children who attend. They offer exams for children to excel but these are not compulsory from what i have seen. See their website for a full list of what they have to offer. The prices are £3 per half hour for most of the dance clubs.”
“A sports hall with volleyball England requirements for competition”
“Where do I even begin with how amazing this university is? I'm the type of person where if I love something, it's almost impossible to change my mind. And I was deadset on Leeds before this, talking highly of it as if it was my future. Chichester was initially just one of my options that had screen acting. Here are the things that made me choose Chichester instead of Leeds: First of all, I was drawn into the promise of guaranteed accommodation for firm choices. Then they added me to a Facebook applicant group chat. And then a WhatsApp group. There is literally more love and kindness seeping out of this university than water out of a dam. I never thought I would change my mind from Leeds yet when the time came I firmed Chichester without a drop of hesitation. I have never seen a university that goes above and beyond to make their applicants and future students feel included like that. If feeling included is your thing, Chichester is undoubtedly the right place for you. Oh and let me tell you about the accommodation as well. It's spacious and feels like a bedroom. Can't wait to roll out of bed 5 minutes before my lecture rather than two hours. And the on campus is amazing as well for people who get lost easily (cough cough me) The open day made me feel amazing (and I was very much willing to travel 5 hours to get there) This is exactly what I've ever wanted from a university. I will talk very highly of it in the future and I'm looking forward to being there in two weeks time. Thank you for reading this. Signed, a very happy university applicant turned student to be.”
“Went there with my school on September 30th 2024 and it was brilliant! Staff were so kind, bunks were cozy, food was amazing and loved all the activities! Earthquake was definitely my favourite. The tuck shop has a range of items for a cheap price and it’s totally worth it. I suggest getting the stubby jumper as it’s very comfy and warm. S factor was so fun! My house (kestrels) tied with badgers for first. We also did stubby murder, such a great laugh! I loved going to the beach as well! I also like how postcards and stamps are available to buy so you can send them home. Mr Nash and mr Scarboroughs frenimie side-story thingy was brilliant to! All in all, I loved it! 10/10 from me c:”
“Absolutely amazing school had the most enjoyable 7 years there and met so many great people and teachers who helped me so much xxx”
“It's amazing the best school you will go”
“Great place, gym bit dated but ok very limited equipment.”
“I paid for a two week pass at Nuffield Chichester while I was in town visiting family. I couldn't have been made more welcome by staff and members. I swum every day and found everyone using the facility accommodating, generous, and friendly. The lanes are wide enough to share easily and the sauna and steam room, showers and changing area, gym and reception were always clean (or being cleaned) and user friendly. Thank you so much. I will be back next time I am in town.”
“I went to uni here years ago and came back recently for a campus tour as my son is considering coming here for his degree. Our guide, Jack, was very knowledgeable and friendly and the campus is lovely with excellent facilities and clean, safe grounds. Appeared to be a high quality university. Definitely better than the few others we have been to look at recently.”

If your looking for a nursery with a family feel then this is the nursery for you. “Friendly staff & students, good information about courses. Central location and easy to get to.”
“We recently had a children's party at the centre, the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble even though we kept changing requests right up to the last minute. After the party our deposit was returned in full promptly along with a lovely note thanking us for cleaning up so well.”
“Good overall. Slight spreadsheet aftertaste.”
“Visited the Model railway show here, nice venue for it and parking was free despite the machines suggesting otherwise.”
“The restaurant was very well themed and welcoming. The food was excellent; we had a shared starter, and a mix of tapas and shared dishes for mains. We did not have dessert as the meal was very filling and satisfying. Alex, the floor manager, was very attentive and courteous, highlighting options that would help keep cost down such as 2 for 1 cocktails and 2 for 1 tapas dishes. Every dish was freshly cooked and excellent. I even asked for extra bread to mop up the sauces! Would definitely go there again...”
“Only used the football courts outside, but great facilities”
“Great school, the teachers are kind and helpful for new-comers. The food is great and cheap too so it doesn't hurt to buy some.Would recommend for any parents looking for a secondary school.”
“Attended four years here. Amazing college!!! All staff very helpful, lovely place and have met some amazing people and got so many memories that I'll cherish forever! It is what you make it, thanks for the lessons and help even if I was a little madam at times and didn't help myself. It is very much appreciated and I highly recommend this college!!!”
“Nice court, perfect for badminton, basketball, table tennis or other indoor sports and also offering a pool, a weight room and outdoor court recently modernised and seeing a lot of action. Parking is ample and has always more than a few unoccupied bays. In the heart of Southsea, 5min walk to the train station and within a minute from the student accommodation modern cluster. Several good pubs nearby to quench one's thirsty throat after an intense sports session.”
“An impressive, modern sports centre. We went for a lane swim as the centre is open to the public. Had to register in order to book online, but not too much of a problem. Paid parking underneath the building (pay on exit - use the machine as no mobile coverage down there). The basement houses a climbing wall and ski simulator. Ground floor has the gym, which looked to be very popular, a huge reception area with a Starbucks, and the 25m pool. Had to book in at reception to get a slip of paper to scan in to the pool changing facilities (remember to save it as you'll need it to scan out too). Changing facilities were clean with free lockers and warm showers. Pool is wide and has moveable floor - half being given over to aqua aerobics when we were there. The lanes are a uniform 2m depth, so no lounging around at the shallow end. Pool was clean and lifeguards were attentive. Would definitely visit again.”
