“Very good local pub with a friendly atmosphere. The decor is classic old school, the are 2 very nice, old looking wood burning stoves. The bar staff were friendly enough and the beers on tap were very reasonably priced, especially for a pub down south! We went on a Friday and it was busy, but I think that adds to the atmosphere, but turn up early to get a table if you're a big group. I will definitely be returning on the not too distant future and recommending this pub to friends and family. Oh, and it is cash only, so come prepared.”

A fantasticly broad menu that will cater to all needs and best of all....won't break the bank. The service was exceptional with a young man (international student from china) being kind, courteous and recounting stories from his family to support my beer choices. Couldn't fault it!”

“Hands down THE BEST pizza in Aldershot. Doesn’t taste like some cheap takeaway pizza that you can get anywhere. It feels almost as if it’s homemade. The restaurant itself is very nice. You may not notice it but there is an area with some tables if you go down the corridor. You can definitely see how passionate the owners were when making this place and well… the food. I also reccomend the spaghetti carbonara”

“We had a wonderful experience at Zizzi Marlow. Steve was fantastic — extremely polite, friendly, and always available when we needed him. He was very patient with our kids and gave us plenty of time to decide on our order. Everything we ate was delicious, arrived quickly, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended!”

“If you like remote and dog friendly, this is ideal. Google maps took us down some country lanes and over a single way bridge, on the map the pub shows pretty much on an island surrounded by country parks & lakes. The location is nice. Car park has about 30 spaces & I think 2 electric car chargers. The pub was pretty quiet when we arrived and the locals/staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pub itself has a lovely interior. To the food, we had the vegan burger, bacon and cheese burger and the childs fish goujons. All very nice and well portioned. For dessert we had the rhubarb crumble with vanilla and vegan ice cream, finished off the meal perfectly.”

“We had a lovely dinner out, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, we had Udon and a sushi platter as well as Takoyaki and it was all delicious. It's a small restaurant but it just makes the atmosphere feel very cosy and warm. The place was full when we had our meal but it didn't feel crowded or particularly loud at all.”

“My daughter wanted to celebrate winning her PhD at Mama Mia, as she had her O levels, A levels and degree, and they didn't let us down. Beautiful atmosphere, and awesome food really made the event special. Be aware of the lemon conssome if you're having the mussels though, it's a little bland ;)”

“We went on Friday evening as a family of 4 for my birthday celebration, and the whole evening was superb. From the mussels as a starter, the main courses and terrific desserts, the food and wine really were outstanding. The team there made us feel welcome, and to a person were friendly and attentive. The evening was made even better since So Sinatra by Frank Cognoscenti was there, as he is every month, and he was simply terrific - superb vocals, very funny and he really set a wonderful tone to the evening. So if you're going to this restaurant, then do check out when So Sinatra is there - he's an absolutely class act!”

“Excellent food, attentive service and great ambience. Despite arriving a little early for our booking we were seated straight away. The service was attentive but not intrusive, and we loved the atmosphere in the restaurant. The calamari was the best I've ever had, my creamy pasta dish was delicious and the pannacotta was perfect, perfected by the rhubarb compote which complemented the sweetness of the rest of the dish. Good value too. We will definitely return.”

“A small family run restaurant felt tucked away. A bit hard to find but it was such an amazing experience. Extremely friendly staff and food was outstanding. It's a shame we were just visiting Reading and that we don't live there!”

We went with a salmon sushi platter which didn't disappointed; a couple of chicken ramen and a chicken katsudon - all were simply great. “Amazing Italian restaurant!! Me and my daughter went there for a meal off chance. Even it was quite late the chef was happy to cook for us a meal that was not on a menu! Our meal was fresh and full of flavour! The staff were friendly and made us welcome from the moment we arrived! Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or just a delicious plate of pasta, this place delivers. I can’t wait to come back – it truly felt like a little slice of Italy!”

“Best food 'takeout' I have personally tried. True authentic Italian food - decided to try the menu items (only had the 10/10 Pizza previously) and it didn't disappoint. “My family and I visited The Shurlock Inn for the first time as it was suggested to me by a colleague at work. We were greeted by the team and very quickly placed our orders. I would say we must have waited max 10-15 mins for the food to arrive at our table! We chose to go for Sunday roasts which were beautifully presented, everything tasted so fresh. We also went for desserts. Again, everything was presented nicely and tasted excellent. Our only thing which could be improved potentially is the thickness of the gravy/custard as these both seemed on the watery side. I did not let this reflect the rating as everybody has their own preference for gravy! We definitely will return. Thank you again. Courtney & Family.”

“The staff are mostly all Italian so you know it's at least ticked the authenticity box. Food was good, staff are friendly, dessert gets brought over on a little cart. Farnborough is the true home from home for Italian cuisine, I've always said that.”
