“This is a place to visit several times. Fantastic service! One of the best Tiramisu in the UK? I think so. Pizza was good, and not the right dish to give 5 stars as such. Sitting outside was ok, and really the only choice the place was packed inside on a Sunday. And only 19£ for Pizza, soda and dessert. That’s pretty nice:-) And I have to apologise: I forgot to tip! Was so nice talking to the waiter I completely lost track of the usual routine…. Will come back and make this right!”

“We are very lucky to get a table for three on Friday night without prior reservation. We are very impressed by the foods we ordered, everything is so delicious! I particularly love the seafood and chicken paella we ordered, the meat is generous, good amount for three people to share, so tasty!Also, the service is fairly attentive and quick, every staff is wearing a smile on their face. I haven’t enjoyed dining in a restaurant so much as today. Highly recommended!”

“Had a fantastic evening here for my wife's birthday. Attentive service, just the right amount of time between courses and food to die for. My only complaint was I over ate but that was down to a menu with such a fantastic selection I ordered too much and it was so good it would have been criminal not to finish it all. i highly recommend La Galleria for any occasion.”

“A hidden gem! Even though it is classed as a casual dining pub, the quality of the food was impressive and the interior reminds of a high-end diner in London. Service was great and staff members were very helpful when it came to deciding what to eat. While we were waiting for our food we had the opportunity to have a walk around the restaurant which has a gallery of pictures depicting the village and the local landscapes. The duck leg ordered for a starter had a very good combination of flavors and herbs. The wine that was recommended to complement the steak was spot-on as well. After dinner we moved into the bar area where we could enjoy a live performance for some Friday night dancing and singing. Definitely would recommend visiting!”

“A huge thank you to the team at Reading Pizza Express. My mom visited the restaurant last Friday while she was in town for a quick lunch. She was visiting the country for a week and doesn’t speak the language, so when her card unexpectedly stopped working and she realised she didn’t have enough cash, she became quite stressed. The staff were incredibly kind — they reassured her, offered to reduce the cost of her meal, and even took the time to contact me so we could sort things out together. They truly went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and supported. When we returned the next day to pay the remaining balance, they refused to take it, insisting that everything had already been taken care of. Their compassion, generosity, and genuine human kindness made a world of difference. Thank you for showing such great character — we deeply appreciate it.”

“Had a couple of issues, got in touch with the restaurant via their website and the lady phoned me and the issue was sorted out. Very happy with the outcome and fact I received a call back. Would highly recommend this restaurant, just a heads up if you like sauce with your dishes eg, sweet and sour chicken, just write in the note section 'extra sauce' as it was quite dry.”
