“I visited this pub for the first time today. Just to have a Pint before getting the bus back to Derby. It was a great pub not many people mainly due to it being lunchtime and football at home in Chesterfield. Nice staff member told me about the new Oakham Ales on tap a very nice Pint of Ale. Great Pub Great Beer”
“It's a fantastic pub great atmosphere friendly bar staff and a fantastic landlord and a wonderful landlady”
“The food is home cooked, and I've never been disappointed yet. I usually go in a group and the choice suits everyone. The prices are very reasonable, it's not worth putting the oven on at home for their special discount days. The staff are exceptionally friendly even when really busy. It is so popular it is essential to book.”
“Nice, quiet, social pub. Great outside and in. Stocks every thing you could want and more to try. A pub for people who like a good pub.”
“Incredibly busy at 9pm 3 deep at the bar. Place was nice beer was ok. Guinness was a very decent price.”
“Unable to give a fair statement to how good the atmosphere or how good the club is as it was a sad reason I was there but great service and good beers”

“The Calver Arms manages to cater well for locals and visitors/walkers alike, a mix we saw when we called for lunch. New decor very pleasant. The food, pub classics done well, was very good. Steak and Ale Pies had a firm crust, good filling and served with chips and gravy. The Shepherds Pie, made from pieces of lamb shoulder, was also very good. Both served with slice cabbage, peas and carrots which was a good accompaniment. A nice pint of Chatsworth Gold. A good option if you are walking in the area or just passing by.”
“We had an early dinner and a couple recommended the pies. After a starter of prawn cocktail I had the game pie and my wife had the beef and ale pie. Omg they were amazing. We each had a whole pie just swapping a half of the other persons. Cooked to perfection with vegetables, mash and delicious gravy. I would highly recommend a visit not just for the food but the staff are also very welcoming and friendly and make the experience even better.”
“I tried Everest restaurant foods, it’s really delicious and fresh. I recommend others to go there and enjoy amazing food. Go guys hurry up and enjoy your xmas there bookings are still going.”
“Excellent service. The team are amazing. We were made very welcome by Lynne and her team. We will definitely be rebooking for our Christmas family meal next year. Customer service is the key and I was extremely impressed with each and every member of the team. It felt like one big happy family and such a great atmosphere.”
“Popped in for a milkshake but decided to get food. It was delicious! I had the ‘veggie burger’ which came with spinach fritters, I really enjoyed it. Something different and so very tasty. The staff were very friendly, helpful and patient as we had a big order. Will definitely be returning.”
“Wow, the pie is to die for, and the golden ale washes it down nicely. Staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is like a great big hug! Really struggled to finish my pie.”
“I adore Casa Hotel! I visited a few days back with a friend for drinks and the staff were just amazing. I would like to say what an absolute asset Lani Kettley is to your company. An absolute diamond. A beautiful soul inside and and out and made the whole visit just wonderful. I can’t thank her enough. Lani will go far Xx”
“My partner and I have just had our wedding ceremony and party at the Bateman's mill, I must say, everything set up absolutely perfectly, we even had a huge hog roast on the spit, the function room set up was planned perfectly with space for the singers and room to shake the tail feather. Great choice of drinks to suit everyone my person favourite being the Boston American gentleman and a good choice of spirits and soft drinks . It is definitely a gem worthy of a visit whether it be an event or a casual lunch Highest of recommendations Thank you so much for our very special day Ryan & Lyndsey walker”
“We go in at lunchtime on a Friday! Steak pie is a favourite however we've sample alot of the menu and it's all excellent. Staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Can get busy when sports events are on so would recommend booking a table”
“Had a family Christmas dinner and the food was fantastic in both quantity and quality. 3 course meal and as hard as I tried I just couldn't finish it. The staff were very friendly and we were able to have a laugh and a joke with them. I would definitly recommend”

“A really friendly, cosy pub with a good atmosphere and an ideal place to watch sport, with live music every weekend. Quiz night every Thursday with a delicious pie and pea supper and friendly bar staff to serve a large selection of beers. A proper boozer that’s well worth a visit, regardless if you’re young or old and dog friendly.”
“We had rather a long wait as it was half price steak but the staff and the service was very attentive and compensated us for the 40 minutes delay. Steaks were excellent dessert home made and delicious. Would recommend and certainly come again.”
“What a fantastic accommodating pub. I work at Ability health and social care we do regular visits and the staff are so approachable. They are very patient and as a community pub they have no prejudices. If anything the staff at the Britannia go the extra mile for us and make our weekly visits an enjoyable activity. Yvonne”
“Lovely food and great service Both bar staff adnn waitress very polite and helpful”
“This pub was recommended by my parents as a good place for a meal and a real ale, on the day of the booking I admit to looking at the reviews and getting a bit worried, however I have got to say it did not disappoint, 5 (I think) Titanic beers plus 3 guest, the decor was traditional pub, with lovely Christmas lights, managed to find space in the car park too. The food was excellent, we had 5 different meals all really nice, steak, gammon, fish pie, fish and chips and a burger, real chips as well! Followes by 5 desserts, the crumble was a very good portion, and the stick toffee Christmas pudding was delicious. The lady who took our orders and delivered food was fantastic and provided great service all night. I would like to return in daylight so I can appreciate the countryside next time!”
“Well when you have 3 real ale pubs within 50 metres it has to be good!? The Dronfield Arms is another " Brew Pub" home to Tempest Brewery. Casta had one of their Pale Ales.. Rear beer decking next to car park to enjoy a sunny south facing summer afternoon. Somebody knew Casta was a relative of Flat Eric, 1990's Superstar. (Now penniless and living with us!) Pub very close to railway station.”
