I then visited the McArthur Estate Agency office to deliver keys for the photographer and viewings and I was similarly impressed with the friendly welcome I received from Shaun and his brother Matt and the comfortable lounge for clients. Shaun immediately followed up our meeting with a letter of welcome confirming our arrangements - very reassuring. Based on these first impressions I am optimistic and confident in the ability of this very personable and professional organisation. In this day and age it is refreshing to meet genuine people.”

“Always a 5 star experience. My cheeky Charlie always lost his voice in every kennel he went to before staying at Oakwood. Now he runs into reception along with his nervous sister Dottie! The team do everything we do at home (Dottie is a food guarder) and they never have a bad experience! Also a shout out to the front shop! All our dog toys and bedding is from there and always a lovely chat to lynne or Scott in reception! Booked for next year already. Rachel, Charlie and Dottie.”

“You can't go wrong at this wonderful pub. The food is superb, all the ingredients are locally sourced and cooked to perfection. You've got to try their full English breakfasts, especially the large belly buster. 3 sausage, 3 bacon 2 eggs, 2 hash browns, black pudding ( my fav), beans and plum tomatoes, comes with toast and tea. Me being greedy ask for fried bread on top....fantastic. But then, you've got to try their homemade pies, packed with filling to the brim, simply the best. They have lots of offers on different nights, so it's always worth calling in for a feast....”

“We left our cat here for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. Staff were friendly and it was very reasonably priced. Our cat appears well looked after and the "rooms" looked clean. Staff happy for us to collect him from the enclosure ourselves so we were able to see everything”

“It's a quiet site on the edge of Misterton. The wardens Mags and Phil are welcoming and helpful as are the owners Chris and Phil. We've been coming here now for the best part of 3 years with our touring caravan as it's only a 30 min drive away for us and a break from town life. We love the quietness, the cycling and the area for a walk as (it's close to a river/canal). On site the pitches are all numbered and generous in size and we feel appropriately priced considering that families and awnings/ehu are included. If you don't want ehu a reduction in price is given. The summer visitors of Swallows can be watched dipping and diving around the site in and out of the barn. There's a play area with a field for kids as long they are supervised. Wildlife is noticeable we've seen Kestrels, Swallows, Robins, Terns, Common Buzzards. Close by within a 10 min walk is a great chippy, chinese takeaway, pizza place. A shop and butchers aswell a 2 pubs a short walk away if you want to eat out. We've had a nice quiet few long weekends over the past 3 weeks, and enjoyed every minute.”

“What a lovely guesthouse! The owner goes above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable and well cared for. They have a room downstairs for disabled guests and a private car park, both plusses. We'd definitely stay here again.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The location is fantastic — quiet, safe, and with very convenient parking. Everything we needed was close by, making it an ideal base for our trip. What truly made our experience exceptional was the host, Joe. He was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout. When we had some trouble finding the check-in instructions, Joe responded immediately and guided us through everything without delay. He really went the extra mile to ensure we had a smooth and enjoyable stay — and we truly appreciated that personal touch. The apartment itself was nice, comfortable and well-equipped. While the cleanliness of the kitchen could have been slightly better (fridge shelves and some kitchen cupboard doors and handles needed a little wipe), it didn’t detract from the overall experience. Despite that minor issue, I would still rate this stay a full 5 stars without hesitation, would definitely stay again!”

When I called Premium Motorhomes, we could come by immediately and they checked it right away. They also changed the booster and took care of the warranty. “Never had less than fantastic service at butterbusk. Staff are patient and calm and pleasant to talk with. Rates are very reasonable. Our cats always come home as we left them and seem settled. The site is very easily accessible as it is on the A630.”

“Nice Little Pub Wanted to book for the Friday but food was not on (later found out that somebody had removed the exhausts from the supply companies vans)!! Booked for the Saturday for a family of 4 and had a nice meal just before the evening entertainment started. It has a nice big beer garden for the kids. Would certainly visit again for a drink and food, Catches a lot of walkers, cyclists, bikers and tourers from the Caravan Park at the rear.”
