“I have visited the Cafe numerous times, and I must say that every time I have been I haven’t been disappointed. The staff are absolutely brilliant, so kind and helpful. I asked for a lunch recommendation and Sophie recommended the chicken Caesar flat bread with chips and it was delicious!! So filling and great for the price! Karen made me a really nice hot chocolate with lots of cream on top, which was to die for! It’s always busy in the cafe, but the staff always have time for you, they always help the elderly customers by bringing the trays over to them & sometimes having a little chat to those that come in on their own. It’s so lovely to see such helpful and pleasant staff members. The cafe is always clean when we go, there’s usually a cleaner that comes and sweeps up, she is really friendly too. I always recommend the cafe to my friends and colleagues, and I will be returning again for another flatbread! Well done Tesco cafe!”

“Great place for a day out. Fabulous scenery and lovely walks. The museum is fascinating and the gift shop has a good selection of books, minerals and maps. The cafe has a good selection if you're hungry/thirsty. All in all, a great place to go.”

“Visited 08/10/25 for the cycle trails. We ate here first & were very impressed with the food. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice & at the time we were there the service was almost immediate. Prices were typical cafe prices, but in my opinion the food definitely exceeded expectations. We will be back here soon I’m sure!”

“My husband and I are regular visitors to the Chesterfield Tesco Cafe and always find the staff extremely hard working, always with a smile and with a freindly greeting, even when obviously short staffed. I feel it would be helpful to them and the customers to have a table clearing rack for customers to be able to clear their used trays and pots away. “The fish is great and large. Batter can be hit and miss but overall very good. Lovely staff very hard working - all of them and are always helpful and friendly. Oh and it's clean, very clean unlike the meadowhead one which is a dump with tea swilling in the clean trays and food all over”

“A group of eight of us enjoyed an afternoon tea to celebrate a 70th birthday yesterday. The staff decorated the table beautifully and provided excellent service. The food was delicious, the sparkling wine was really excellent too. We were made to feel so welcome.
