“I reached out to GiGi Browns for our wedding hair styling when I was in the area for a recent wedding. We are not local, but communication was easy and quick via Messenger. I went with my daughter. It was a warm and welcoming place, the staff were lovely. Our hair looked amazing and we got lots of compliments on it throughout the day. Very reasonably priced. If I was local to Chesterfield we would definitely go back! Thank you!”

“I had 3 pairs of Mendl boots needing repair. Two pairs required complete resole and 1 lightweight pair required some serious patching to split uppers. I genuinely thought the lightweight boots were beyond repair and destined for the bin!. Andy was extremely helpful in advising me. All repairs were made to a high standard. I now have 3 pairs of repaired (as new) boots for the cost of one new pair of Mendl boots. I cannot praise the service and customer centricity enough. Thoroughly excellent and traditional company to deal with and can recommend them for any repairs.”

Booked in for highlights Amy today the new stylist chose my colour a lovely ice blonde colour after I explained what I was looking for,Amy made the best choice and so accurate to what I was looking for. “I would highly recommend staying here. Graham and Hilary were very welcoming providing suggestions for places to eat before we arrived. There was a large choice for breakfast which was preordered. The bedroom had drinks and biscuits available and there was a downstairs sitting room for guests. It was very quiet and we had an excellent nights sleep. “Brilliant dental practice, one of the best I have been to. I flew back into the country a week ago, managed to dislodge half my wire retainer while eating dinner on Friday evening. Called 9am Monday, receptionist was great, told me she was new and had my details and would call back. 30 minutes later I had an emergency appointment in the afternoon! The dentist Zaid was fabulous, bedside manner was excellent, talked me through every step as he was working on me. No pain at all. Went home and ate a ‘solid’ dinner a few hours later, after spending the weekend on soup!”

“We have just returned home from a lovely 2 night stay at Slate House Farm. We loved it. It’s well situated with plenty of pubs and restaurants locally. The pods are clean and have everything you need. A nice touch was the addition of marshmallows so we could toast them in the fire pit. The views are amazing and the owners couldn’t do enough whilst still not being intrusive. We will definitely be coming back”

“This is the second time l have used Brakemadters/Powerhouse. The first time was a few years ago, when they refurbed the callipers of my VFR800. They did a great job. This time, it was the front callipers of my '93 VFR750. They were in a state after 32 yrs of use and my ham -fisted maintenance. They were faded, scratched and really shabby. I elected for a full refurbishment & repainted to original Nissin VFR gold. They needed new pistons as well. The pictures attached speak for themselves. They look as good as new. If asked, l will always recommend Powerhouse/Brakemasters. They will certainly be getting more work from me when l get around to sorting my other bikes.”

“Needed a tool bag next day as mine had broken I ordered click and collect the evening before I didnt wait until I was contacted because I could see they had one left in store and my plan was to cancel the click and collect and buy the stores stock! This wasn’t necessary as the bag was sat there waiting for me excellent service and what looks like a great tool shop I’ll be sure to return when I’ve got more time In The future”
