“This review is based from 6 month ago up to the present day of posting - Since finding this Gem of a cafe my wife & I have been popping in for a small breakfast on average about once a week- we have never had to complain once yet- Michael (the owner )& his staff always make you feel welcome - it is a nice & clean sized cafe with seating for 20 people + toilet facilities- if you are in the area why not give it a try - I don't think you will go away disappointed”

“This chip shop has the best chips ever. I love their chicken kebab, and my fella loves the Yorkshire fish cake. However, you need to order in advance for the Yorkshire fishcake, but hey, it makes it fresh and awesome. I have to say I have been all over, and their fish and chips are phenomenal, so go get some. My kids visit, and they are blown away by the house special kebab mixed meat chips sauces and salad it's big enough to share. No, I don't know them, and I ain't being paid, lol. I have only one criticism I am a brummie, and I love scallops. Which in brum are sliced potato in batter, my fella reckons they were called taty fritters.”

“We went for lunch and on arrival the place was buzzing but noisy. Being just a party of 2 the staff were very understanding and we eventually moved to a quieter part of the bar. The food was outstanding. Specific requests were accommodated without fuss. The beef was tender and tasty. We had a thoroughly pleasant experience. “Called in here tonight on my journey back home. Straight away I was greeted with a warm friendly welcome. I ordered a thin crust meat feast pizza garlic sauce and can of tango which came to £15.40. The pizza itself was very tasty with plenty of toppings however the star of the show was the garlic mayo. I have never had such a morish sauce in my life. I would highly recommend visiting this place if your in the area.”

“It was only the 2nd time I have been to King Cod, I wasn't disappointed. I had a regular cod which was plenty for myself. The batter was lovely and crisp. The Haddock that my mother had was huge, she said it was nice and moist as Haddock can be dry. Would well recommend it.”
