“8/10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spacious rooms with amazing huge beds! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful with lovely views out onto the garden. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere around the hotel. Perfect for a peaceful stay. Sauna and steam room were great, pool facilities quiet and clean but hot tub was freezing cold. However for the price of £80 which we paid we got free breakfast and a wonderful stay- great value for money. Would reccomend. We will be back soon.”

“Having a relative in the hospital up the road, finding this pub was a godsend. Excellent menu choice and unbelievable value for money. I can highly recommend the fish and chips, Gammon and the Surf and turf. Portions are spot on and the price is great. What makes the pub though are the staff. They make you feel like a regular as you order your first drink. Even though I live over 20 miles away I will make a point of continuing to visit this pub and work my way through the menu!”

“Seriously impressed. We went to the masons on Thursday for something to eat. We’ve been before and remember the pub is well decorated and has a slightly up-market feel. The pub was very quiet when we visited with two young lads serving at the bar. The menus we were given were on printer paper and the table numbers have been hand written on masking tape affixed to the tables. The menu appeared quite basic and seriously under-priced. We were therefore quite skeptical about the food and expected it be low quality and not in keeping with the up market look and feel of the masons… How wrong we were! The food had quite clearly all been freshly prepared and made from scratch in the kitchen. The portion sizes were very generous. While this is by no means haute cuisine, it was by far and away one of the best homemade pub meals I’ve had in a long time. From our experience it appears to us that the masons has recently changed management. Which hopefully explains the lack of proper menus and table numbers. While they are finding their feet I’d recommend anyone wanting a great quality and generously portioned meal pay a visit immediately! We had 2 started and 2 mains and had change from £30 - not often you can say that in 2025. A must visit.”

“Whilst this might not be popular with the young generation it’s a great pub with a good atmosphere. Worth booking a table on a weekend if you’re meeting friends as it can get really busy especially around the Christmas holiday period. Good range of drinks at reasonable prices for Wickersley. There’s a good sized beer garden with plenty of tables. There’s are some parking spaces at the side of the pub and the surrounding roads but it’s always very busy at the weekend.”

“Been here a few times recently and each time is just as lovely as the rest. Louise has been there every time we’ve ate there, and she’s absolutely lovely. Russ and Mark always make the best food. Would recommend here to everyone.”

“Due to a technical issue my order didn't go through. I rang the takeaway who were honest and apologetic. They got our food to us quickly and up to their usual quality. They threw in a couple of extras to compensate for the delay. Thank you.”

“UFC Maltby never disappoints. The sides and desserts are amazing and clearly made with care, not just thrown on the menu. The pizza and Wraps are also excellent, packed with flavor and cooked just right. Everything feels well thought out and worth ordering.”

“This place is a hidden gem that no one seems to know about so I'm sharing this secret with you all as I was so impressed with the food and service. I been here with my partner for a meal over Easter. it was lovley Two for a Tenner u can't go wrong here! You might think because of the cheap price tag you may get poor quality food however this is not the case here! The food is top quality at a very good price! We had hunters chicken and pie of the day (steak and mushroom.) The pie was packed with meat and flavour the chips were lovley it all came out very quickly and was hot and tasted great my partner loved the hunters chicken too. The drink selection was reasonable but its the food I will be coming back for. Overall a great visit that I will be repeating sometime soon.”

“First time ordering in a very long time. The customer service was brilliant. Since its the festive season even the delivery driver was dressed as santa. The food was brilliant arrived nice and hot. We will be ordering from here again.”

“I have eaten from here loads, normally from the grill, which is always good. Today I ordered the nihari, which I wasn’t expecting much as it’s a dish that takes ours to cook properly, the meat fell off the bone, was cooked and spiced perfectly, would have liked it slightly thicker, but that’s preference. Will be my go too from now on”

“80th birthday for my mum. Had a nice Sunday afternoon. Great service. Food was good and arrived in good time and was hot. The place was full and very busy so we were pleased with the prompt service. The choice of menu is ok for a pub chain but a lot of dishes came with sweet chilli or BBQ sauce. Only 1 choice of salad dish which was slightly disappointing. Be good if more fish choices were available. All in all very satisfied. Thank you guys!”

We particularly enjoyed our meals which were cooked to perfection and very tasty. The whole experience was wonderful and thank you for such a wonderful experience.”
