“We were lucky enough to eat here at the last minute. The owners went out of their way to seat us and provided one of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had this side of Via Appia. Not only that but the food is cooked in full view (and the smell is amazing). Loved it.”
“Bike friendly burger van located right next to National Cycle Network Route 236, great place to have a fabulous breakfast before heading to New Forest for a long bike ride.”
“DELICIOUS and great customer service! From the moment we arrived, without a booking, the waiter was friendly and humorous! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food was so tasty and authentic. Wonderful experience. I'll certainly be back, thank you x”
“Visiting on a short break for our wedding anniversary. We hadn’t booked but luckily they squeezed us into the outdoor area which is LUSH. So beautiful. Food incredible! Thank you”

“Just had an absolutely excellent Sunday Lunch today. Two of us are Gluten Free & two had the normal buffet & it was soooooo tasty & freshly cooked. Well done Fuchi you never fail with your delicious food. We will be booking for Sunday Lunch again in a week or two”
“We had a great meal here last night and will be returning again soon! It was authentic, tasty and the wine was great! Our server was fantastic and really friendly, a great family run place and well worth the visit!”
“Have ordered a few takeaways from Tarka Express on recommendation from a friend and it has never disappointed. Had family over for dinner last night and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Unlike many indian takeaways, the lamb here is so tender, not chewy at all -just delicious. Good value for money and some different dishes on the menu also. Delivery can take a while when busy, but honestly worth the wait. My only thoughts were spending over £80, it would have been nice to have recieved a complimentary side dish or something. Other than that it was top marks from us!”
“Truly tasty, well balanced and well cooked food. You can taste the passion for quality and attention to detail where it comes to ingredients. Highly recommended. Will definitely come again soon. Thank you!”
“The lady taking the order was nice. The food came out quickly and was good. As an American visiting the UK for the 4th time I was used to my fiancé getting us Chinese at a different place, but it was closed for their holiday. So I don't have alot to compare to as Chinese is a bit different in the US. The other place my fiancé goes I do like a little better. But this place was still good. The atmosphere is hard to rate as it is not an eat in place. But it is very stark and sterile on the inside. Not much decoration or color.”
“I came to Eighty Eights a lot at my time at uni. At no point did I ever receive bad service, bad food or have a bad time. The food is fantastic and the staff, especially Alex are lovely. Can't recommend it enough!”
“Food was hot when served and arrived in good time. It was very tasty and the portions were generous. I would definitely order from Indian Express again.”
“Good selection of sandwiches and drinks...check online for the daily cooked menu and prices”
“Stopped here on the way back from Scouting Event at Ferny Croft (across the road). I have to say, I'm sorry I didn't know about this hidden gem before. The restraunt is beautiful but on a sunny bank holiday we sat in the garden. Lots of places to sit and the tables are well spaced out. Very different to the packed in feeling of most pub gardens. Very relaxed feeling. There is a lovely children's play area with smaller section for tots and a bouncy castle too. I think my 6 year old would have stayed all day given the choice. The menu is varied enough to cater to most people and the addition of the Barrel and Stone pizzas is fantastic. From an allergy view point, many items are available with gluten and vegan options and the rarity of gluten and dairy free. The kids meals are of a decent size and the starter soup of the day was huge. Food tasted great and was a reasonable price especially given the location. It dog (and wellies) friendly here too which is great when coming in from a forest walk. Staff were really polite and knowledgeable and the service was great. Free WiFi throughout The place is wheelchair accessible and has decent accessible toilets too but there are some gravel areas to the outside. Unfortunately the outdoor tables wouldn't be easily accessed by a wheelchair as the benches aren't removable. We didn't have the wheelchair with us so didnt pursue further and they may have a solution Looking forward to coming back soon to try sunday lunch.”
“Peter Greens Coffee shop - Friendly staff, great coffee. Stopped into Peter Greens to look at the furniture and made a pit stop in the Coffee shop. A bit cold outside and it was a real pick me up”
“Perfectly adequate food, arrived quickly”
