He's got this magical way of making you feel like you’re his favorite customer, even though there are like 10 people in the shop and one guy's literally asking if they sell vape cartridges made out of gold. He’s also got this laid-back yet highly informed vibe—he’s like a Zen monk of vape knowledge. I once saw him talk someone out of buying a mango-flavored pod with the same conviction a doctor would use to talk you out of eating expired sushi. But hey, Mike’s not just about keeping your lungs safe from ill-advised fruit decisions—he’s got the best gear, a killer selection of liquids, and the patience of a saint when some newbie is like, “So, what’s this coil thing?” The shop itself? It's like a vape haven and a cozy lounge got married and had a neon-lit baby. It's not just a place to pick up supplies; it’s a social experience (I guess the name wasn’t just a clever pun). Whether you're there for a quick grab or you’re one of the regulars who treat the place like their second home, it’s impossible not to get sucked into the friendly banter between customers and staff. There's always a conversation happening—about life, the best flavor combos, or whether you can actually taste “cloud density” (spoiler: you can’t, but it’s fun to try). “No parking onsite but there is a car park in the pub next door and a large car park 30 seconds down the road, waited around 5 mins for someone to get our reservation and seat us( this was a Saturday night and busy), after we were seated the service was excellent, lots of drinks to chose from especially whiskey and whiskey flights. The food was too good for words perfectly smoked and seasoned tasted amazing I would highly recommend. Portion sizes were decent too.”

“Absolutely amazing local pub. The canal side location makes it a beautiful place to sit and watch the narrow boats and ducks etc. All of the staff were extremely friendly and always happy to help with all of our dietary requests. The food was incredible! Extremely reasonably priced and the quality was incredible too. “We chose to go to the Woolpack to celebrate our wedding with our friends and family. Debbie, Martin and the team went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble. It was no easy task to cater for such a large group of people, and on a Saturday night. Every effort was made to get everyone’s food out in a timely manner. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and so did everyone else! The pub itself is lovely, really inviting and just a lovely vibe. “Excellent pub with 12 real ale pumps. Mainly a vast range of Titanic ales and Everards. Opens spot on 12:00 Sunday. Many came for Sunday lunch. Near main railway station. 7 mins walk.”

“Here for a course for 2 nights just 2 miles away from here, so for me the location was excellent and also quiet for me to relax and study. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food in the pub is excellent, dare I say some of the best pub food I have ever had. Rooms are very comfortable and relaxing with some lovely extra touches. Excellent beer garden and choice of beers. Really impressed and would love to come back.”

“Enter stay. First time visiting for an afternoon tea. Was very impressed with the interior and the Christmas decorations. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table in the window. The afternoon tea didn’t disappoint. There was a good variety of sandwiches and the fillings were very generous. The scones were delicious, the only niggle was that there was only a small pot of jam between people. The cakes were lovely and the chocolate pot so rich. Will certainly come again.”

“Hubby, me and Hugo our dog. Just visited this wonderful traditional pub. Great service , fantastic accommodation for our dog. And the Sunday lunch was amazing, David had Pork Lion with amazing crackling and I had brisket of beef wow wow wow. Absolutely delicious! Sorry didn’t have a pudding as we were too full. Will try next time.”

“At last! A proper pub with proper beer, where you can have a proper conversation without intrusive TV screens and not given over to diners rather than drinkers. The Shrewsbury Arms has been completely and tastefully redecorated, with William Morris pattern wallpapers throughout. We (two couples) went on a Wednesday evening where a generous selection of cheese, pate and salami + biscuits was available - all free! There were plenty of customers there, although like many 'wet' pubs I can imagine it could be pretty quiet at times. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back. PS: Did I mention that the beer was excellent? I can recommend Pig On The Wall... Edit: Typo”
