Food experience cafe in Crewe

“Probably the best coffee house in Crewe town centre. Coffee is excellent as are the selector hot and cold snacks. Add to that the cakes and sweet treats and you've got a really good food and drink offering. The atmosphere chilled and relaxed with more gentle background music. No banging pop or rock tunes here. There's even a library and reading area where you can sit and sip away to your heart's content. This place has a very sophisticated upmarket feel usually found in much larger towns or cities. The staff are always polite and friendly and deliver a mean coffee of your choosing.”

“We went for Sunday lunch. The service was good, the pub decor is really good and they have a good selection of cask ale. The food was great but a little disappointed that the veggie Sunday roast was just a mushroom…”

“The Lodge has triumphed again this weekend with a great music afternoon and footy in the evening (shame about the result). Carl and Sarah never disappoint, great owners and hosts with their fingers on the pulse when it comes to quality and variety of beer, a constantly changing choice whilst retaining the firm favourites that customers favour. Such a lot of transformational work has been carried out here both internally and externally, a great place to meet friends and chat with regulars. Last afternoon/evening ran like clockwork so well done to all your hardworking staff who support you. "Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came" from the theme tune to Cheers for those old enough to remember it! So "Cheers! to Carl, Sarah and all the staff.”

“It’s about time I let you know our secret place to go, we’ve kept it to ourselves for a while as we love being able to last minute book, but that no longer seems fair… This local pub is an absolute find, the beer is great, the Sunday roast is exceptional and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Aswell as taking us a photo together with our food. We've been a few times here and food is always exceptional and so are the staff. Warm and welcoming as always thankyou for a lovely night!”

“Fabulous location a stones throw from the golf course and cricket ground. Really close to Newcastle and not a million miles from attractions like Waterworld or Alton Towers. The main draw though is the strawberry picking nearby. You cant escape the rural location when the 12 and 13 year old tractor boys walk around. The food though and the decor are first class. Whilst sitting waiting we watched 10 or 12 different meals come out and we could have ate every single one. A big recommendation from me.”

“The White lion is a hidden gem, I only discovered it recently. Two real ales and all the other lagers you come to expect. It's very clean inside and out, a well kept pub. Food is served but I haven't tried it yet. Large beer garden to the side, and a covered over area with seating. Well worth a visit.”

“Lovely, cozy, traditional pub / restaurant, with lovely decor, great, friendly, service, and delicious food. Overall really enjoyable experience taking my elderly mother out (in her wheelchair ... which I was quite dreading, but didn't need to because the Fox & Hounds was 'wheelchair friendly' and (with the help of the lovely staff) the experience was totally stress-free!). So a really special time spent with my mother, who enjoyed her meal immensely! Thank you to all staff at The Fox & Hounds. Totally recommend this pub / restaurant to anyone. And hope to be back there sometime soon myself too!”

“Amazing local pub with great surroundings (stunning oak work and fireplace), friendly staff and locals. Not the widest variety of ales (3 or 4 real ales), but very well kept good traditional ales plus Salopian Oracle.”

A couple of weeks ago I approached Anna over a member of staff that was covering for the store whom wasn't that great, but Anna was profffesional, understanding and a good attitude for turning a bad experience into a good one, my partner and I regularly come here even though we live in Congleton and we both love having a coffee here..highly recommended!!”

“Amazing! We visited with our young client who is a wheelchair user and requires modified food. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt so comfortable and welcome. Chef willingly blended food chosen off the menu, and present it beautifully , to allow our client to enjoy a proper meal. We will definitely be visiting for tea on a regular basis. Our meals were also delicious and all of the team were so cheerful and pleasant. Honestly we can not express our gratitude enough for inclusivity, tasty beautifully presented food and an over and above attitude from everyone.”

“We visited after spending the afternoon with the grandchildren at the Pantomine. The meal was from the lunch menu as we were too early for the evening menue. However there was loads to choose from and portions were very big. Presentation was lovely and the service by the waitress GABBIE was five star!! Very polite and attentive. We will definitely be visiting again.”
