“There was such a Warm welcome by the Proprietors when entering, The Staff very Welcoming, nothing too much trouble for Them, The Sunday Lunch was Very Tasty, plus the Homr Made Desert of Blueberry Cheese cake was Truly Mouthwatering, there was easy access straight from the Pavement through the Double doors to the Back of the Public House, Lounge area, with easy access to Downstairs Disabled access WC. The seating area can accommodate 50 covers at one seating, plus Offeres a Facility of Private parties, plus Live Music.. Well worth a visit, The Views are overlooking Maesteg Cricket Club, plus In the Summer offers alfresco Dining in the Beer garden..”

“We booked in Advance its open 6.00pm promptly just take note the menu on the outside of the property it’s not up to date some of the items you unable to have was told last night it is 5 years outdated! Nice friendly staff nice starters I had king prawn my partner had pate both had sirloin stake I wanted mine medium & my partner well done & we emphasised that when it came out it had blood in its & for her it was off putting they quickly took it back but my fear that all the chips & the vegetables would gets cold but to fair play fresh chips & its was cooked correctly second time lens was nice”

“Absolutely stunning for a real treat and you must try the chocolate filled cones if you visit there! Unbelievable hot melting in mouth magic! Our favourites are the caramac and the salted caramel ice creams and we really love the waffles too. They also do ice cream birthday cakes which ate unbelievable. Our favourite was the christmas lemon meringue ice cream log. Nice little cafe to stop in and restaurant to the side of it.”

“Phenomenal!! The pick two courses meal was perfect. I had pumpkin soup and pan fried brean with mussels in the most flavorful curry sauce. I loved it. And had to get the toffee sticky pudding. Everyone at the table loved their dinners as well. Big props for the pork belly and duck leg dish.”

“Stopped here with friends for a light lunch yesterday, and although I was a bit disappointed there were no sandwiches on the menu, I had the pancakes with fried egg, bacon and maple syrup, which was delicious. Everything was piping hot and so beautifully cooked to perfection. The deserts are to die for. “Great service... warm greeting on entering, friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout. The pizza was great, freshly made with a great balance of toppings. The onion rings were a bit disappointing as they seemed to be out of the freezer and deep fried, with a mushy onion filling... but there were plenty of them in the serving, and the dip accompaniment was tasty. It was only a small part of the overall meal, and everything else was 1st class. The cheesecake was very nice, and definitely recommended. We'll definitely be returning.”

“I have been interested in cooling at this place for many years. Whenever I have driven past the car park was always full and when I stopped to talk to somebody they said the food is excellent so I knew it was a place I had to try. The prawn cocktail was very nice and the roll that came with it was so so cute. The Sunday dinner itself was really tasty. They was plenty of veg and lots of meat. The vegetarian mushroom Wellington was really tasty and although looked small was so so filling. I will definitely be going back it was delicious.”

“A great golf course with friendly staff and a good bar to finish up in. We played it last year after the exceptionally wet spring and it had only just opened and was a bit rough around the edges. So it was good to play this year and find it in such good condition. Really enjoyable round, a challenging course with variation and some wonderful views. Would be nice if a round cost a little less for non members but other than that, highly recommended.”

“Great little pub serving top notch food and drink at reasonable prices. The staff were great. Pictured is the buttermilk chicken burger with amazing chips. The steak was also excellent and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend stopping here for some food and drink”
