“Great facilities with a pro shop and pro training on offer, training Green for putting and chipping and 9 hole course. Most impressive is the driving range with computer aided ball distance and angle guide with every shot.”
“Was here as an entrant into the Saltire 24 hour race. Facilities were good, and the views around the area were sublime. Plenty of people enjoying swimming, paddleboarding, and more on the loch.”
“Amazing staff, swimming teachers even more so x”
“RGU Sport is a gem for sports enthusiasts! The facility radiates a love for fitness and a commitment to providing a top-notch experience. The state-of-the-art equipment, diverse range of sports options, and friendly staff create an environment that's both invigorating and welcoming. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a beginner, RGU Sport accommodates all levels with a blend of professionalism and inclusivity. My time there has been a delightful journey of fitness, fun, and forging new connections. RGU Sport is not just a gym; it's a haven for a vibrant and active lifestyle.”
“Really great council ran leisure centre. The pool is always immaculate and has decent opening hours (though recently reduced). The gym is small, but with a good range and there is always space to get on with your workout. Facilities are clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and everyone is very welcoming. The sauna is a treat with it's cute wooden headrests so you can really chill out.”
“What a gym! Been going to warehouse for over 2 years and you will struggle to find a gym with better members and equipment! Everyone is there to support you. There is zero judgment and you feel welcome and comfortable at any level of ability or strength. All the "intimidating" bodybuilders are amongst the nicest ones in the club and are all willing to help with a spot or answer any questions. All-in-all an excellent gym with insane equipment and great / friendly staff!”
“Great place for sports. Front desk guys are really helpful.”
“Very clean, friendly staff, great selection of homebakes”
“I've had a fantastic experience at Get Active @ Northfield, especially with their swimming pool facilities. My kids are taking swimming lessons here, and I’m really impressed with their progress. The instructors are patient, professional, and great with children, making each lesson both fun and educational. The pool is always clean, well-maintained, and a great environment for learning. My kids are happy and excited to attend every session, which speaks volumes about the quality of instruction. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for swimming lessons or just a great place to swim!”
“Friendly staff fairly well equipped, only bad thing I would say there is only set of barbells in the gym which get hogged alot so can be difficult to get use out of it”
“Good facilities friendly staff and lots of parking”
“My 2 dogs love a good game of chasing each other and this is a big enough field for them to do so. There are some obstacles which looked adequate but my 2 are all about the running. There is a water bowl and water access for them to get a drink. There is also a 3 sided shed for a bit of shelter with a picnic bench inside if the humans need a seat. Great value also”
“The cabins are clean, fresh and modern. I never had any issues whilst there. Stephen (Owner) was always very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The grounds are always well kept. The other visitors never made any loud noises and everyone I did speak to there was polite and friendly. Dogs are allowed which is a massive bonus! (As a dog owner myself i know its a struggle to find accomodation) And the best thing about this place is its a family run business, meaning they just want the park to operate peacefully and everyone on it to be equally content. They are not just chasing the money. I visited multiple parks before this one and hands down this is the cheapest whilst still having the highest standards and qualities! I will definitely be returning and I hope people read these reviews so they can support this small local business too! Thanks again Stephen and see you soon!”
“Decent size swimming pool. Getting there is easy. Accessible location right behind Balmoral Business park. Plenty of parking spaces opposite the road. Ensure to park in the open parking lot on the other side of the road as the one near the main entrance is disabled only. Pretty quiet on Sunday afternoon which is perfect for me and staff are very helpful. I'd recommend it.”
“A true hidden gem of Ferryhill. Albury Community Sports Hub is a fantastic asset to the area and excellent facility for the Ferryhill residents and wider City community. Situated in the centre of the tri-community hub (primary school, community centre and Albury park), you'll be forgiven for passing it by or thinking the facility is out of bounds (not true!) Membership is open to anyone (more the merrier) and it's very reasonably priced for the offering it presents. Run by volunteers and well-meaning residents, the sports hub is a gem of the area providing tennis courts, bowling, putting, petanque, pavilion facilities and fantastic community spirited fun. Always looking for more members and eager volunteers to deliver and enjoy the services on offer. I'd strongly recommend you to take a wander down to the entrance and embrace the space and welcome. More details can be found on the website, but you will not be disappointed. In these post-covid times, my advice is to use it or risk losing it. Keep an eye open for open days and discounts offered. Birthday party booking is also available.”
“Great park for the kids to enjoy and burn off their energy. Leisure centre attached allows toilet use . The car parks were full when we arrived however there is a car parking across the road along side the field which is sign posted.”
“Attended a Ice hockey match. Full House great family atmosphere tickets were reasonably priced £12 adults £8 for a child small children go free. Quick and easy entry a raffle and throw the puck game between the 2nd and 3rd period were great. Food and drink all reasonably priced also. Would advise plenty layers of clothing especially for those that feel the cold.”
“I love this place. It has a lot of interesting things to do. If you have children you can get verities of children activities.”
