“Friendly Staff, lovely vintage place with a warm welcoming feel! They cater well for all needs of different parties and events. 100% Recommend!”
“Superb place!! The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is generous in proportions and tasty! They’ve got some side shop too for convenient gadgets”
“I nipped in here for a quick coffee before attending the nearby church. The coffee was delicious, the service was good too. It`s a quirky little place that had a charm to it. The style of the decor was unique too, especially the semi covered outdoor seating area at the back. I liked it!”
“Good was nice and hot and very tasty”
“The staff are absolutely amazing and make you feel so welcome. They will always try their best to accommodate any special requirements and the food is absolutely delicious. I've tried a range from their menu and it has never disappointed. The cakes are perfection and are very generous in size but they have cake boxes to take home any left overs or extra. I would recommend ordering early to avoid disappointment as they do sell out quickly with them being so tempting and tasty. Everything is immaculately clean, with a nice outdoor space for the summer weather. The secure dog field and short walk from the canal make it a fabulous spot for dog walkers too. The toilet facilities are disabled friendly with plenty of room for a wheelchair and to transfer.”
“Staff are lovely. Food was out in great time! So friendly and kind. Lovely to sit outside, plenty of options!”
“Love this cafe though i don't always use it but when i do it never fails to hit the spot. The ladies are all lovely too.”
“Just found this by accident, and had a lovely desi breakfast. All fresh cooked. Between us we had paratha, desi omelette, channa, halwa and puri... And finished every last crumb.”
“I could wax lyrical about this place for ages but I will keep it short. This cafe is an absolute must if you fancy a good old English breakfast in the centre of Brum. Super food, decent prices but most importantly warm, friendly and polite staff. I love this place.”
“Everything you want in a cafe but more than you'd expect from a portable container. Plenty of seats inside and parking on the road outside. Wide selection to eat in and plenty to fill the lunch box too.”
“Karen is absolutely lovely tuna Mao and salad is great when they have salad could do with a card machine and open for longer hours and in school hols as I think the community could benefit from this”
“Lovely spot for a hot drink or a quick bite. We visited on Saturday morning for a light breakfast. Their sourdough with a choice of spreads was tasty - we each got to try a combo of spreads with our sourdough (peanut butter & Jam and peanut butter and honey. Items and reasonably priced. We were lucky to get a table quickly and staff were friendly and attentive. It does get very busy here as it is a small establishment.”
“Awesome place for working on your laptop. Hospitable staff and two levels to sprawl yourself over whilst enjoying a nice cup of joe and feasting on some pancakes if you’re lucky enough to be there on a Tuesday. Plenty of seating and power points available to charge your devices. There’s couches, large tables and individual tables to work from with free WiFi available. Hot latte costs 2.9 pounds and there’s a bathroom on site. They also have a bottomless brunch if you’re brave enough to participate on the weekends for 22.5 all day long! #BeatTheGrind”
“Be ready to feel your burdens disappear as Tamara makes you feel at home, offers you to take a seat and serves up a nice, hot brew. I stopped in for breakfast and after a delicious 2 cheese, mushroom and bacon (veggie options are abundant too) omelette, I'm now ready to power on through my day. The moreish cakes on offer certainly didn't pass me by either, perfect with my second cup of tea.”
“Can’t go wrong with the menu here, simple and easy. Food is cooked fresh with great portion sizes as well. There is ample parking outside when we reached and the restaurant catered well for our number. The only downside is the length of service, food although cooked fresh takes quite some time to come out and so the wait can be a little longer than anticipated. Nonetheless, cannot fault the taste and the price value for what is offered.”
“I thought I visit this lounge as i heard good stuff and it did not disappoint, the shisha was reasonably price and i believe its one of the cheapest in Birmingham. The lounge is well decorated and alot of good flavours on the menu along with drinks and mocktails. The service is friendly and the guy at the counter is knowledgeable on the flavours.”
“Yaadgaar: Worth the Trip from Wolverhampton! Rating: 5/5 Stars I travel from Wolverhampton to Birmingham just to eat Yaadgaar's breakfast – it's that good! Amazing desi breakfast, especially the halwa puri and chana masala. Great service, friendly staff, and fantastic value. Highly recommended! Never disappoints.”
“I had a meat curry with bread in the morning and it was delicious. So flavoursome and the bread was soft.”
“Great Breakfast decent price good service. Would definitely recommend here for full breakfast or breakfast sandwich”
“I had my 40th Birthday party here last weekend and it was the most amazing experience. I can’t recommend this wonderful venue and their team enough. The whole process was so easy and smooth, everybody was so nice, helpful and accommodating, the food was lovely and the venue was just perfect. Thank you to Lana for helping me plan the perfect night, from our first meeting over brunch, through to all the help during the party, and to the whole team for the great service on the night too. So many of my guests said how amazing the place was. Honestly, if you’re looking for somewhere to host an event, definitely give them a visit. You won’t be disappointed. x”
“This is just over the road from work so I have eaten here several times. The staff have always been friendly, the food tasty and priced fairly. The Big Daddy breakfast lives up to its name without feeling like an actual ordeal. Less gluttonous meals and sandwiches are also available. Overall it's recommended by me and definitely better than the Cranmore Cafe around the corner (which isn't awful, just not as good as here).”
“I had a breakfast here and I have lots of breakfasts all over the uk being a lorry driver This was by far one of the best I've had. The food was excellent and cooked just the way I like it. Polite friendly staff and a good atmosphere. I will definitely return. 5* Thankyou Mamma's cafe”
“Had this cafe delivery via Uber eats. The food was really nice and not greasy. I would recommend you to try the food here. We love that the wet items (beans and tomato) are in separate cups. Would be nice to have option to remove items from breakfast e.g egg but I'm sure that if you put it in the comments they would do it.”
“Food was incredible, greeted by 3 very polite and welcoming staff. Prices are very good highly recommend this place.”

“New owners, keeping this place as good as it was before. Great fresh food with friendly service.”
“Had an afternoon tea, to celebrate a birthday. Excellent sandwiches, cakes and scones, for a very reasonable price. Tea and coffee top ups, if required, at no extra charge. More than enough food supplied. Everyone took a box home. Also, plenty of free parking.”
