“Beautiful Eritrean restaurant with a wide menu. We had a vegetarian sample platter (bebaynetu) as well as a lamb stew (alicha). We also tried mes, Eritrean honey mead, which wasn’t on the menu but we asked for, and it was delicious.”

“I had a fantastic experience with this garage. Had an accident and was referred to they by my insurance. I was contacted promptly by very friendly lady, who arranged pick up of my car and courtesy car delivery which happened within a week, the gentleman who did pick up/ drop off was fantastic too ( called me in a morning to tell me what time he will come, showed me and explained everything about courtesy car), I was kept updated about progress of repair and it was fixed very quickly! Only in a couple of days my car was delivered back to me sparking clean and all fixed. I was very stressed after accident but these guys were pretty amazing and professional.Thank you very much!”

“Done the highland cow experience yesterday and it was brilliant john and Mikey are so knowledgeable and were great hosts. All the cows are beautiful and very well looked after, highlight of my day was snuggling hayley the 4th and taking her for a walk aswell as brushing her. Also got to see the other animals and feed the sheep.Had a great time would definitely recommend.”

“I had the pleasure of dining at Rising Café yesterday, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff providing excellent customer service. My wife ordered the club chicken sandwich, while I had sourdough bread topped with avocado and a fried egg. Both dishes were absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the ambiance of the café. I’m already looking forward to returning and exploring more of their menu. Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely loved the Tandoori Pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy, the chicken was full of flavor, and the smoky taste from the wood fire made it extra special. A perfect mix of spices and cheesy goodness. Highly recommend!”

“I bought my mum here for her birthday, along with my sister and husband. We absolutely loved everything about the food. It was beautiful and SO flavourful. We had the 7 course tasting menu (and there was also 3 amuse bouche, a bread and 3 petit fours) and we were left full but not uncomfortably so, and definitely not hungry. The staff are very knowledgeable about the processes that go into the food and drink. They gave my mum a wee birthday card which was lovely. My husband and I recently ate at Gauthier Soho and we enjoyed the food at the atmosphere at Land much more. Highly recommend to vegans and omnis alike!”

“Recently found this gem. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until I went on my nieces Facebook as I don’t have FB. The malteser cheesecake and shortbread are amazing. I’ve been looking for cafes with homemade cakes and these truly are homemade, which is such a rarity! The staff also make the latte to preference such as decaf/ oat milk etc the indoor area is clean with tasteful decor. The outside seating is really lovely as it’s based in a pretty and peaceful location. There is a free car park that can be used. Owner is lovely and friendly. We felt very welcome. I was a bit worried as I’ve been to other places which are a bit hostile towards Muslims/ Asians but there was no need to be worried here. I haven’t tried the food yet but when I do I will edit my review . I’d love to see more cheesecake flavours as Gil is a great baker . I am a baker too and I have very high standards so that’s saying something . Im definitely not easily pleased when it comes to cakes. Overall really lovely cafe . I went to another cafe before I discovered Gils for homemade cakes and that was such a major disappointment in quality and taste and did not compare to Gils. Prices are really good for the cake considering it’s homemade and generous portions . Only wish I could visit more often but due to health problems I can’t but when I do it’s a lovely experience. Thanks!”

“A unique restaurant with excellent service and outstanding food. We each has a three course meal for set price of £35. I had the baked camembert, then duck followed by raspberry cheesecake. Every course was freshly cooked and tasted delicious. The waiting staff were very attentive. We definitely will be back. Highly recommend.”

“We had a lovely prosecco afternoon tea Tuesday for my birthday which my friend brought me. The ladies were very friendly, we couldn't eat all our lovely cakes so brought them back in a box. “Bought for a Christmas gift from our daughter and so glad she did as it was an amazing experience for my husband and myself. From start to finish each course was delivered by the most friendly staff who obviously were passionate about their food and restaurant. Could not pick a favourite as each course was stunning. Definitely worth the money and will be back for another memorable evening . If you like fine dining in a small intimate restaurant then this is definitely one to visit.”

“We’ve had coffee & cakes at this places a few times now as we’ve walked the dogs. They’ve had a nice seating area built outside in recent years. The coffee is always good. Glad it’s on our doorstep. The owner does seem to really care which is refreshing to see.”
