“Not eaten here yet, but when my daughter fell outside their shop, two staff members came out to help, gave her a lolly and a tissue. If they have such kind people working there, I think it must be worth a visit.”

“I came for the menu and wow it didn’t disappoint. We had breakfast and I can confirm the food was amazing, a bit random but it worked. I had the good karma which has two sausages, some avocado, a tomato, a garlic mushroom, some delicious garlic and rosemary mini roast potatoes cubes. black pudding, beans and bread. My friend went for the stateside but switched bacon for vegan sausage - she also loved hers. I will say it was a bit expensive and the drinks aren’t really worth the price. I had a cup of tea for £2.45 which I felt was quite steep, but I guess we are in a cost of living crisis - regardless of the cost I’d recommend going and would definitely go again myself. It’s also quite a small place and we got the last table luckily so I’m unsure if seating is an issue but there was lots of outside seats available; it was just a bit cold so we wanted to go inside.”

“Always wanted to try food in so today brought the parents along to try out the food so on food thoughts waiting time was was fine service was very professional plus friendly also the food was a delicious very tasty plus very filling my parents had the burgers which looked very well presented and from what they said very tasty . The price for 3 meals plus drinks just under £50 which you definitely can’t go wrong with but you can taste the difference between a spoons meal and a very well cooked meal . Definitely will call back and try something else”

“So I've been here a few times as someone who doesn't live in Brighouse. Brighouse is an underestimated town and nowhere typifies the great attitude of the local populous more than this pub. Friendly,. Welcoming and several rooms with set functions like sport and music. If you happen to know a pub that is cold and unwelcoming show them this place. THIS is how a pub should be run.”

“The best pub I’ve ever been! We were there last Wednesday to only have a drink... we ended up having a few and having tea as well!!! Extremely lovely and attentive staff, specially the (I think) manager of the pub. The food was really good and we had a deal! (2 selected mains for £12). We had the burgers and they were really well cooked. The manager knew Spain and talked to us about it. Very good experience, we will definitely come back! Thanks, gracias!!!!”

“Called in without booking on the off chance of a sunday dinner on my birthday and was welcomed gladly to a table for 3 of us. We ordered the carvery. All the food was hot and very delicious! Good selection of veg and the gravy was so so good. Very clean and has a lovely atmosphere. Thank you raggalds for a lovely dining experience on my bday. The staff were very friendly and attentive! Will definitely recommend and hope to be back to try the Christmas menu.”

“Went in for a game of pool and a lovely chat on a Wednesday night. All of the locals were very friendly and the bar staff were quick and polite. The music they were playing was amazing, solid 10/10 bangers over and over again, was probably in there for a couple hours and they didn't disappoint once. Looking forward to my next visit in the future.”

“New menu is nice. Reasonably priced. Have breakfast and tea here occasionally. Always very quiet unless football is showing then it’s a different atmosphere and can get very busy. Kids are welcome here but only until 7.30pm. Would recommend.”

“Surprisingly nice interior, which was originally a Church. High ceiling, look up to see the Church organ pipes and pews. Unlimited refills available on hot drinks. Constant ale and beer variations available, particularly during regular events. Staff are cheery and quick to serve and great table service. Outside seating available during the summer. Food prices are great!”
