“Another excellent Wetherspooons pub. Was visiting Halifax as a fan of Exeter City Football Club. A long 275 miles, 6-hour coach journey, so refreshments were in order. It's only a short 5-minute walk from the Shay ground. I ordered the Gourmet Buffalo chicken burger meal. £11.92 including a pint of beer. The food was okay. I ordered on the Wetherspoons app, which means you get excellent, speedy service.”

“Now one of my favourite places in Halifax, the food was lovely. Sometimes there’s live music on a weekend. The owner (I presume) came over and talked to us about our food and how he appreciated us coming in. The staff are lovely! You can tell they’ve put a lot of effort into the place and it’s so welcoming. Be here everyday if I could”

“Staff were impeccably dressed. The guys on reception were lovely. It's a big old building with lots of rooms. It looks as though it's due a revamp, but In this current climate, the room was clean, comfortable, spacious and airy. The bath was big and deep and the towels were fluffy and clean. Breakfast was down stairs, and attention to service was lovely. Something you don't always get nowadays ... Nothing was to much trouble. Definitely worth the money..”

“A lovely little B&B, only a couple of minutes' walk from the centre of town. Rooms are very well appointed with en-suite facilities, microwave and tea/coffee making. Travis House is owned and run by a very friendly local couple who know everything about the area. The rooms are very reasonable in price (I paid £45 for a twin room, per night). An excellent cooked breakfast is included in the price. Highly recommended, I will definitely stay again!”

“Lovely building, renovations have given new life to what was once a husk! Enquired about a viewing and had signed papers and moved in in 2 weeks. Great location, close to town centre. Despite there being so many apartments it’s really quiet, seldom see neighbours but when you do everyone’s so polite and friendly. Only issue I would raise is that the mailroom isn’t wheelchair accessible from inside the building, you would have to come out of the back exit, wheel up the hill, and into the front door to access. Also the elevator is out of use pretty much 2/4 weekends a month.”
