“Admittedly I hadn't been to Shibden Park in about 30 years, so it was nice to call in here for breakfast on our bank holiday weekend visit to my homeland. My partner had the large breakfast, which for the price was excellent. Lovely hashbrown! My teen daughter had the medium and I had a bagel and creme cheese. We have cappuccinos and an English tea. Plenty of seating outside and in, dog friendly both inside and out too. I am pleased I got to experience the cafe and park again in a less busy climate. Beautiful place full of memories ✨️”
“A great pub , good beer , great service from the barman who also got up on stage to entertain us A good boozer to remind you what going out is all about”
“Always been a favourite of mine..food was a prepared buffet which was banging..service...haha..only received 2 of my 3 drinks ordered but this was quickly rectified...if you're visiting halifax add this place to your list of places to visit”
“Just moved to the area and heard cafe no10 had just opened.. Great service and great food. Has highchairs which is easier for me and the kids. Seating in and out. Will definitely return!”
“Delicious bacon butty and a brew reasonably priced whilst waiting for car to be MOTd”
“On a late Sunday morning in an unfamiliar area, this was a great find for a hungry couple. Basic seating, a few crumbs on the seat, and an smell of fry up ambience... BUT absolutely the very best toasties that we have ever had in our lives! And for the price, possibly the best value for money in Halifax (later dinner in a local Italian with raving reviews, left us flat...). We will most definitely return when we are back in the area. Thank you!”
“Came here few months a go and had afternoon tea for my dad's 75th birthday. What a lovely selection of things. Everything was so nice too. Some of the cakes were the best I ever had. Been back once since and had breakfast and again was so nice I certainly will be back again some time. Good service and lovely food.”
“This review is for Morrisons Illingworth. The food was better, & the portion a little more, than I expected (I would not have got dessert had I realised). It was later afternoon/early evening & I feared they may have stopped serving... Not only did I manage to get a meal, but the staff were outstanding; they could not have been better! Would happily visit again.”
“For a coffee place it should go without saying that the coffee here is excellent (and it is!), but the brunch/breakfast options here are what make this the kind of place I wish we had round the corner - had probably the nicest almond croissant I've ever had here, and that was essentially a starter for this banging brisket eggs benedict. Sometimes an eggs benedict can be disappointingly dull, but they nailed the hollandaise and every element was spot on. Looking for an excuse to find myself in Halifax again!”
“Went to a music event on the covered beer garden. Excellent selection of beers and a great landlord. Love this place”
“What a great find this place was , good food and good prices , will definitely be back when in the area”
“Lovely pub with lots of seating areas including cozy nooks and bright tables by the windows. Lots of beer options on tap, it was hard to choose! The bitter and stout were delicious. During the weekend there were parking spots outside the pub on the street.”
“Me and my partner got two different breakfasts with coffees and it was absolutely spot on! Mine was a big one which was perfect! And my partners was huge! Definitely worth the money! Affordable-Good quality- Delicious!”
“Very nice ..always friendly food fab”
“Lovely little 'taproom' of a pub with Halifax Steam brews & decor inside. There's a small car park, and the pub itself is in a shipping container type add on to the brewery. The service is wonderful, kind, and child friendly. Prices & selection are decent & interesting. Would definitely return again, and our daughter loved the quirky fishtank bar. Thank you!”
“My favourite pub! Always a selection of good real ales, snacks and laughs. Dog friendly, people friendly.”
“Really good food and great service. The eggs were perfectly done. Will definitely be coming again”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this cozy gem, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. From the warm welcome at the door to the beautifully plated dishes, every detail was thoughtfully executed. The menu offers a perfect balance of creativity and comfort I tried the house special (you must!), and it was bursting with flavor. Portions were generous, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The service was attentive without being intrusive our server was knowledgeable and kind. Whether you’re planning a night out or a casual dinner with friends, this place hits all the right notes. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!”
“Great local pub, however I'm no longer local. Went across at the weekend and it's lost none of its charm. A few bar staff on so easily served. The music was good provided by Steve along with a quiz, which if you wasn't doing the quiz you wouldn't have noticed as it wasn't imposing. The regulars were as friendly as ever. All in all a great visit, highly recommend. It isn't the Ritz, just a really good local pub.”
“Nice friendly pub with a great outside seating area.Staff were helpful and friendly and I'd especially like to mention a young barmaid called Elise who was on her fist night but you wouldn't know it.She couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome.”
“What a lovely quaint pub, great atmosphere and service. Defo visit again ♥️”
“All I wanted was a soup to go . If you have ever requested this , from anywhere . It's not also available. Even rarely. There was tomato and chilli which I have. With brown bread and plenty of butter. Just how i like it . Or chicken and sweet corn . Again another top soup I would choose. Then the sweet slice . Mint cream . I had to get it. And the display then just shone. Everything looking more delicious then the next . I ended up choose a honey comb , road or something and a chocolate covered flap jack . And of course coffee to go”
“Love this place! Beautifully decorated, friendly staff, tasty food & delicious coffee One of my fav places to go & read :)”
“Another excellent local pub, handy for the Shay Stadium. Nice people.”
“Lovely traditional pub, lots of hand pull choices. Hidden seats round the back”
“What an incredible pub. Really really nice food and great service from the staff. A warm and welcome venue that offers full table service and is dog friendly. The food was stunning and very reasonably priced. The car park was a bit small and very busy , but given how good the pub is , no wonder it's busy. We will be back !”
