“Hands down one of my favorite places for Chinese food in Bradford. Had driven past several times and finally decided to visit. Wow. I wish I’d visited sooner. The food was cooked fresh and you could tell that it had been made with care. Despite the menu appearing small, there was a lot of choice one there. We went for the spring rolls and the deep fried chicken dumplings for starters. The dumplings were packed with flavour and they came with a homemade chilli sauce, which was no word of a lie, the best sweet chilli sauce that I have ever tasted. It was packed with garlic and chilli and has just the right amount of sweetness Our mains were brought soon after and again were delicious, big chunks of chicken with the noodles in there along with the perfect amount of Szechuan sauce. The portions were very generous and we ended up taking some home along with some custard buns. There was a wide range of bubble teas which again were made fresh in store. All in all a very happy customer, we felt look after by the staff who kept making sure that we were happy with the meal. A definite hidden gem of a place and if you haven’t been already, what are you waiting for ?”

“Enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast here. Within our party we had the pork belly, beef and turkey roasts with all the trimmings. All were exceptional in flavour, taste and value. Washed down with a couple of Guinness it set us back £57 per couple, which I think is excellent. From what I gather the pub had just reopened after renovations. It was clean and welcoming, the staff were friendly. Unfortunately I was very greedy this time and didn't get the chance to snap a photo of our dinners!”

“I’d even go as far as to say this place is a bit of a landmark in Bradford. I’ve known this pub for years and have always liked it. It has a great atmosphere and a fantastic location. You really can’t fault the quality of the food or the value for money at City Vaults.”

“This is one of my closest supermarkets, so I often call in for the odd bits. I especially love the salted caramel ice lollies, they are my fave ice lolly of all time! The mint ones of the same brand are also lovely. Some things here are cheaper than elsewhere, but if I'm honest I can usually do a shop for a similar price at any major supermarket. There are some products here that one can't get elsewhere, as is the case with every supermarket.”

“Went there for Sunday lunch with my daughter, her partner and my granddaughter. Getting into - and out of - the car park can be a bit tricky in busy traffic, but once in there's plenty of parking. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were great.”

“Had a lovely meal at the Duke of York. We ordered the fish & chips and scampi & chips — both came in really generous portions and were cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. There was a bit of a delay with the food due to the chef being unwell, but the team handled it really well — we were even offered free drinks while we waited, which was a lovely gesture. A special mention to Ellie, the manager, who was especially kind and made sure we were looked after.”

“Came this afternoon (Thursday) for a drink and food. Very impressed. Summary, get yourself here! The lady serving was really nice and delivered a great customer service, drinks on draught had some money off which she told us about which was an added bonus. Service was quick and drinks reasonably priced. Went back to order food and nothing was too much trouble, explained everything to me and happy to make any amends to order if needed. Went for the fried Brie to start. Then lasagne with chunky chips & the Cajun chicken burger with fries. Both tasted freshly made and VERY hot. Really enjoyable meal and served in a reasonable amount of time, again we were sat outside in the sun and it wasn't a problem the lady bringing the food out, she even came to check once during the starter and once during mains if everything was ok! Going out of her way to deliver a fab service. Will be back and would recommend giving here a go!”

They were both exceptionally hospitable and polite. They recomended we have the parmesean chicken steak which did not dissapoing. Deffinetly a place to dine at. Ambiance was also great.”

“The new owners are very friendly, the service on the most part is ok, it would be nice if they look at the tables and see if anyone is running out of drinks, and trying catch the servers eye can be quite difficult. The Indian food is very very good, almost like home cooked. I have been many times, and always enjoy the food. The atmosphere could be warmer, the place looks a bit dated. But I do love going there for the food.”
