“Food was immpeccable. Me and my husband travelled from birmingham and stopped by this restaurant. The waiters shoaib and shannon made our experience very pleasant and enjoyable. They were both exceptionally hospitable and polite. They recomended we have the parmesean chicken steak which did not dissapoing. Deffinetly a place to dine at. Ambiance was also great.”

“Hands down the best Chinese take away I've ever used. The food is incredible and inexpensive. The staff are friendly and happy to help. They are flexible with their menu, which helped when my fussier child only wanted a few chicken balls with chips. I love that the kitchen is open and you can the chefs preparing your food I won't use another Chinese take away in Bradford”

“Ravensknowle Park is approx 12 acres (5 ha) of parkland, forming the grounds of Tolson Museum. The park may be small-ish, but it's lovely to wander round, and is well-maintained. It's popular with families with young children. It's home to the striking Cloth Hall Shelter, this being the entrance and clock tower from the old Cloth Hall, moved here from Huddersfield town centre after the Cloth Hall was demolished in 1929/30. There is ample free parking on site. The museum serves refreshments, with outside seating. The Tolson Museum is also worth a visit; entry is free.”

“Cooked to perfection ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very polite and professional team members taking the orders. The food was unreal, by far the best spicy donner I’ve had. You can taste the quality of the food and the experience of the chefs in every bite. I went for the mixed donner which was unreal. I ordered there watermelon mocktail, which i highly recommend you try also. Would definitely recommend you try Woodys.”

Great staff, great atmosphere and fab drinks menu...you'll have to go in about 2 and fall weeks due to refurbishment and from what's been said, the pub will be totally upgraded and made even better! “Highly recommend. I went to the Calverley Arms to treat my Grandparents for a Christmassy meal and it was amazing. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing and the staff were beyond helpful and lovely. We ordered from the festive menu, we had the Sea bass, the chicken/pancetta/leak pie and a steak, with salted caramel profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, it was all incredible. The chefs Danny and Amber cooked everything to perfection. All of the staff were lovely, but our servers Louise and Ellie were so friendly and were more than accommodating with slight changes to the food to suit my grandparents. Can’t recommend enough and will definitely go back.”

“Called here on Wednesday 6 Aug 25. Very nice sandwich and coffee provided swiftly. It was busy as it's school hols but the staff were efficient and courteous. I sat outside on a picnic bench. Quick shout out to the lovely lady with golden curls sat nearby :)”

“Great pub, with an enthusiastic landlord really trying to make it a success. Situated next to the canal a great location. Good range of ale's. Dog friendly. Great food. I had the best burger fries and slaw ever. Presentation was excellent and the ratio of bun to burger was spot on. Would certainly revisit.”

“Didn't eat, but beer was great. Well kept ales, great prices, and they are part of the CAMRA discount and voucher scheme, which meant my pint cost £3.25. Amazing value. Great atmosphere, too, with 2 different footy matches on as well as a northern soul event.”

“Brilliant pub now it has been taken over by the owner of the Murgatroyd Arms just round the corner. Inside is very similar as before but the outdoor seating and shelter is a lot better now to sit out and have a drink.”

“Always a pleasure to visit the twins. Always polite, very welcoming, great with the kids and they just happen to be damn good barbers too. I can't remember how long I've been going there now, something like 10 years or so i think. Haven't let anyone else touch my hair since meeting these lads so I'd say that speaks volumes in itself.”

“A traditional back street pub in the centre of Bingley serving a selection of hand pulled ales,draught lagers and cider plus wines and spirits not a cheap pub but good traditional pub atmosphere and good for a meeting of friends and family. It's also close to local shops takeaways and taxi ranks and buses so you don't have to worry on that score,pay it a visit if you like the old style pub,I'd recommend”

“THE ENGINE ROOM - Best Full English in Halifax, perhaps even Yorkshire. When I first looked at visiting Halifax in mid-December, I thought it looked rather bleak. But all the old wool carpet mills have been turned into an array of offices for various companies with cafes, restaurants and bars on the ground floors, and a Travelodge, where I stayed, at one end of Dean Clough Mills. The Engine Room is typical of finding a great cafe that really doesn’t look like much from the outside due to the stone built exterior and you wouldn’t know it’s a hidden gem. Inside there’s a large easy to read menu but best of all the prices for the food you receive, are absolutely worth every penny. I had been in an another cafe further in the town centre the day before for an all day breakfast but it was twice the price and nowhere near the quality of the Engine Room Full English. Tell me where else can you get what’s in my photo for £6.50 plus a hot drink for £2.60, all for well under a £Tenner these days? Food quality, the Full English is cooked to perfection. The mushrooms and small grilled tomatoes are a great touch, not swimming in tomato juice. Two lovely sausages and everything exactly as you want a cooked breakfast away from home to be. The Travelodge doesn’t do a cooked breakfast but it couldn’t compete with the Engine Room, if it did. Could anywhere in Yorkshire? There’s a challenge. I know where I’m going for breakfast, midday snacks and lunch the next time I’m in Halifax - The Engine Room.”
