“Stayed in June 2015, did not see much of Tim as he is a working farmer, Jane looked after us and you could not wish for a better host. We are hopefully now to book this for our daughters wedding night.”
“Fantastic service! Highly recommend this restaurant– the owner was super accommodating and lovely to chat to. A must visit in Brighton!”
“Korpan is such a cozy, homely spot with food that truly tastes like it’s cooked with love. The service was amazing, and the kind man who served me even gave me a free dessert, which made the meal feel extra comforting. The portions are generous, the quality is great, and the prices are incredibly fair. Such a warm, heartfelt place and I’ll definitely be back!”
“I ate steak in this restaurant, and it was really delicious, well served. They are very nice and polite people. I strongly recommend you to eat here.”
“Really lovely little cafe with staff who are not only super pleasant and attentive but also efficient.. Our breakfasts were delicious. The place began to fill up and was nicely humming with people chatting but not actually noisy. Thoroughly recommended.”
“Blink and you've missed it. The cosiest spot for coffee. Small but welcoming. Had an amazing aeropress and left with a bag of beans. I would definitely come back every time I'm in Brighton.”
“While it may be a little more out of the way for some people it is 100% worth the trip! Some of the best coffee you will find, great service and dog friendly. Plus amazing latte art.”
“I've obviously drank a lot of coffee in my time, but the cappuccino I had from here this morning, was probably one of the best coffees I've ever had in my entire life. It's actually made me have a bit of an existential crisis about my previous coffee drinking habits. If you keep driving past this place, please do actually stop and go in! I actually have shameful amounts of regret that I haven't been able to stop here previously. So thank you very much for the coffee. It's not even an exaggeration, it was very very good! ❤️”
“I’ve been going to this coffee shop for a while now. Their food is amazing, the ambience is inviting and their coffee is… what can I say, you gotta try it. But the star of the show are these Tiramisu cakes (or bites as I would like to call them). Right amount of sweetness & richness, basically perfect. YOU GOTTA TRY EM. ASAP”
“Really good coffee, better coffee price than all the other chain own coffee shops and the saff/owner really friendly and nice to have a chat if you feeling under the weather The only independent coffee shops in this area.”
“An absolute gem - tucked away Cafe 8 is a lovely spot for breakfast, coffee and cake. Mandy (previously Hove RFC) offers her trademark fantastic coffee & delicious breakfasts served with the loveliest welcome. Great view of the runway, cute planting - my new favourite in Shoreham”
“First time here today. Had the big English breakfast. It was faultless. Excellent quality, good portions, not oily, hot toast and hot plates. Added tea ( proper pot) and coffee and black pudding. Service was perfect, helpful, friendly. Staff super friendly and kind to everyone. The menu choice is great, from breakfasts to cooked lunches, sandwiches, baguettes, jacket Spuds, etc. Could not fault this place, people or food.”

“I’m yet to try one of the cinnamon buns (they look great) but I know I love the coffee and the relaxing space to work or just watch the world go by which is kept immaculately clean. The new guy working there also has really positive energy and the other staff I’ve spoken to are also lovely!”
“The coffees the baristas make at Kingsway are bang on every time. It’s obvious they take the time and care each time they pour to get the right consistency and temperature of the milk (which is rare!!). There is a lot of competition around Hove for good coffee, but Kingway is coming out on top each time for me. I’ve got a Gail’s at the other end of my road, and let’s just say I walk that extra bit further for one of these banging oat flat whites each time… Very pleased to have you in hove guys!”
“This was our favorite brunch spot in Brighton and the best brunch we’ve had in the UK!! Unfortunately it was our last day in town so we didn’t have time to come back again, but definitely would have. The pancakes were melt in you mouth perfect and the jam was so good we tried asking if they sold it by the jar. Pistachio latte was great. The star of the show was the eggs on toast, which we definitely recommend!”
“This is an adorable little cafe that uses super fresh ingredients. The food was great, and the coffee was just as good. The owner is so kind, lovely, and welcoming — I had a really wonderful time here. Highly recommend if you're in the area!”
“Very delicious. Great location view of the sea. Very friendly staff. Father and son work there and it is really lovely. Will be back soon!”
“Great coffee spot. Perfectly prepared coffee! Nice cosy coffee shop with an excellent quality baristas who are consistent and really good at what they are doing.”
“Sometimes you walk in to a restaurant and you think... this is a restaurant. Other times you walk in and feel like you are in someone's home being served their best food. This is most definitely one of the best Italians, if not homely places I've visited in a long time From the moment you walk in, you are made to feel at home. The food is amazing and I would recommend this place. They know how to do customer service and beyond. A must visit if you are in the area and a hidden gem”
“I really love this deli/cafe and, judging by the constant fast moving queue, so do the fair residents of Brighton! I almost religiously grab a chicken wrap to go and it never fails to impress. The food is great, the service is great, and it is all remarkably consistent. I sometimes branch out and grab their really rather good pastries, and they serve those amazing Mexican colas/fruity lemonades. Really can’t recommend it enough and it’s a wonderful choice for a tasty and affordably priced lunch.”
“Loved it. The coffee was great, really enjoyed it & ended up staying for two. Sandwiches were good. We would have liked hot food, which I think they do have but had run out of as it was early afternoon when we visited.”
“This is such a hidden gem! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, the food tastes as good as it looks like on the photos and is cheap for such quality. There is an ‘boutique’ tea section I fell in love with. There are so many different items on the menu I’d like to come back and try especially Lebanese themed items! The only thing is it is a bit dark inside inside but maybe that’s just my preference.”
“quite an unassuming little place nestled in the business of george street, there was nobody in there as i was passing at lunch time however had previously read online that they do good food. i had the chicken club burger and oh my goodness, i don't say this lightly, but that was the BEST burger i have ever had! delicious home made chips as well. it was a perfect little spot in the sunshine people watching, eating gorgeous food. if you're at that end of town definitely give it a try! the chef & girl at the till were lovely too, very attentive.”
“So glad I stopped here for lunch. Food is top quality home made and not expensive as you get big portions. Quiche was delicious and salads were really nice and tasty. Great value for money. I sat outside with a great view of sea. Very peaceful. Looking forward to my next visit.”
“A really lovely spot. Really cozy atmosphere and lots of seating. My mum and I came here for a coffee/light bite and were very pleasantly surprised with how much choice there was. She had a long black (which was the perfect size) and the spinach & feta borek, which she said was “the nicest thing I’ve ever eaten”. I had an almond bakewell slice and an oat-based matcha latte (which was the best I’ve had to date)! The service was great — when we arrived they were fairly busy with breakfasts (it’s obviously well loved by the locals) so they communicated this to us, and we were also informed when our food was up next. 10/10 would eat here again.”
“Lovely neighborhood coffee place... sandwiches are yummy as well.”
“Great sandwich this morning, generous filling including protein (which is well appreciated), tasty, and a good price. Just what I needed! Thanks Sarah!”
“The friendliest gent I’ve ever known served me, I guess he is one of the owners. I will remember this humble, honest and happy cafe for all the right reasons, forever. Thanks :-)”
“Delicious coffee and probably the best spinach and feta roll I've ever had! Friendly and prompt service. Laid back atmosphere with some outdoor seating available for sunny days :)”
