“Discovered this jewel by accident. Great food , pricing and service. The cantonese duck stir fry and chicken egg fried rice were both excellent. Will be back soon!”
“Really good! We had a lovely meal here. We were a party of five, all vegetarian. There was a big selection of vegetarian food, lots of tofu dishes, loads of vegetable dishes and rice and noodley things. They have nice soups too. The food comes out lightening fast and is super fresh and hot. You can order as much and as often as you like. Just make sure you eat it all. Recommended.”
“When we walked in, we first noticed the BEAUTIFUL decor and really calming music! The staff were so friendly and made us feel really welcome and wanted! The food was lovely - we both tried the poached eggs w salmon on toast and the scrambled eggs and pepperoni on toast (which we've never tried before but the pepperoni definitely works!!)- the food was lovely and we were full half way through! We chatted with the staff about their plans for the Panda Lounge moving forward and we're really excited to see the business flourish! We will be back! Thank you for excellent service!”

“Always such lovely service and the quality of food for such a cheap price always makes kudos our choice for dinner and living so close means we end up here often - thank you it’s always so delicious”
“It is a good takeaway shop for our family. We love Chinese food and this was perfect. Service was quick and when the food arrived it was still fresh.”
“Just be aware they take cash or bank transfer, but the food is very good and worth it. A little oily but that's normal with Chinese food. A wide variety of options and comfortable seating while you wait.”
“Food was ready so quickly. Hot, fresh and tasty. It was delicious. The shop owners were very friendly too. Would definitely order again!”
“Unbelievably great hospitality and warm atmosphere by staff, especially at night it has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The food they serve is traditional english in the morning and traditional chinese in the afternoon evening. Best of both worlds!”
“Amazing flavours and quality. Big vegan menu, and clearly labelled on the menu. Quick service, friendly staff. Very fair prices. Good size drink menu also. Comfortable setting.”
“A hidden gem! I first visited Noodles Soup many years ago and instantly fell in love with the delicious food and humble eating experience. So reasonably priced and lots of choice, image is of the pork which was super yummy (the beef noodle soup though is a staple ofc). 100% recommend”
“I cannot praise this place enough. From the truly divine food that the magnificent Nicky, her sister, Be (alongside her adorable partner in crime, Bo, a Miniature Pinscher) and her expert team creates, to the incredibly attentive front of house service that her remarkable husband, Allon, offers in abundance, this place a true gem of a family run business. There's a treasure trove of freshly made food stuffs, ranging from rolls and sandwiches, a vast selection of lunch and dinner offerings that change every day (including soups), preserved stuff in jars (CHILI OIL!!!), excellent coffee options (I highly recommend the Vietnamese varient), sooooo many delicious cakes and the like, a selection of things in the fridge and freezer for you to cook at home, and some superb alcoholic options if that's to your liking. While it's always playing in the background at a very comfortable volume that easily allows for conversations to flow (although, why are you talking and not eating?!), the music compliments the overall atmosphere and is as wide ranging as the food and drink that's available. I've been frequenting this place for more years than I can remember, and if ever I find myself feeling sad, lonely and downtrodden, this place, due to all of the above, always lifts elevates my spirit. Never, not once, have I left this place feeling emotional or physically worse thn when I entered. Food for the soul, and then some. In fact, the only thing that I love more than this place are the people who run it. I absolutely adore Allon and Nicky as if they were my own family, and they have always treated me with a loving affection that is a rarity in my day to day life. As someone who very much believes in a higher power, but not necessarily the concept of Heaven as an eternal afterlife, per se, I am pretty sure that there is this exact same Nanima to be found there, too, with absolutely nothing changed from how it appears in this life. And if there's a Heaven on earth? Well, Nanima is it!”
“Hands down my favourite takeaway. The vegan range is absolutely brilliant and all delicious. I think I am addicted to the vegan yasai fried rice! My Mum came down from the midlands recently to visit and ordered the chow mein which she said was the best she'd ever had. So much so, I have just ordered one for her to take up there with me tomorrow!”
“Baos were delicious! We had the pork belly one and it was succulent and soft. The bun was lovely and fluffy. The baby bao fries were only okay. They were a bit greasy. The spicy chicken was also only okay as it was mostly batter. But it was super crispy. We went for lunch on Thursday and it was not full but the music was a bit loud. This is expected because it is a pub. Super friendly service! I will definitely go back for the baos!”
“Absolutely amazing food and service I eat a lot of Chinese takeout from all over the country and Mings is top quality and value fro money the staff are also super friendly a must as the chippy down the road is pore”
“Delicious & Authentic Goan Food, best in Brighton & Hove, Enjoyed the Beef Roast, Pork Vindaloo & Chicken Xacutti along with Arroz. Will savour more dishes next time. Reasonable priced and with the promotional discount was a steal.”
“Excellent place. I wasn't quite hungry enough for the hotpot which looked and smelled great. Ordered the lunch special ribs starter plus beef ho fun noodle. Really very authentic and had the "wok hei" for sure! Very generous portions. Highly recommended. Wish I had taken a photo to show ... forgot sadly”
“I have visited a number of times over the past 5-6 years. I can safely say that I have never been disappointed. The food is authentic and fresh and the lovely lady who runs the restaurant is always so attentive and generous. There is no other Chinese restaurant I would rather go to with my friends and family. Reasonable prices for great portion sizes too! Thank you always!”
“I've been visiting Sky High Fish Bar since childhood, and it remains a standout. The family-run establishment is always welcoming, offering delicious food with impressive efficiency. It's also very affordable, especially compared to other fish and chip shops in the area. A large cod and chips costs just £10, which is fantastic value. The current staff are lovely and provide excellent service. I highly recommend Sky High Fish Bar.”
“Authentic Hong Kong Typhoon Shelter Seafood Stir Fry by CK delivers an authentic Hong Kong Typhoon Shelter seafood experience that impresses with its bold flavors and freshness. The standout was the Typhoon Shelter crab—perfectly cooked, rich in garlic and chili, and irresistibly flavorful. The shrimp and scallop were equally delicious, with a savory kick that brought the meal to life. The service was friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience enjoyable. If you’re craving genuine Hong Kong-style seafood, Stir Fry by CK is the place to be!”
“Have just come in to place an order and I have Coeliac disease and the woman was very helpful went through the menu with me to tell me what could be done gluten free she even brought the sauces out so I could check the ingredients myself. And the food is lovey would 100% recommend.”
“Myself and my hubby went there for a lunch. We enjoyed it very much. Foods were fab and delicious! Staff were lovely and friendly”
“Simply levitated by the aroma, taste and Zein of the place. This place offers fresh, tasty Malaysian/pan asian food located on preston street. I ordered the malaysian laksa in soup which was made from udon noodles with seafood some veggies in a soup broth. The smell lit my brain and fueled my hunger. The food was piping hot and fresh and the taste was beyond yummy and fulfilled all my tastes including umami. The ambiance is very chill with nice relaxing background music, comfortable seating, clean toilettes and amazing location. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Service speed is okey, the staff took a while to take my order but the time until food was served is acceptable given the food tasted and felt fresh. Prices are reasonable and affordable. Highly recommend!!”
“I had the best dumpling soup at CK Bistro; everything was handmade. Nowadays, you only find frozen dumplings in restaurants, so I was delighted to discover genuinely homemade ones. The people who run the place are exceptionally lovely and welcoming. I’ll definitely return there!”
“Amazing food. Got the pick and mix egg fried rice + roast duck for a tenner, alongside broccoli for £6. Fairly pricey but it was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back to China Kitchen soon!!!”
“Lived locally for over a year, and I couldn't recommend a better Takeaway place! Despite our late order, the food was still nice, hot and fresh. Including an underrated favourite of mine, the delectable banana fritters!”
“Food was absolutely amazing, went in for my mates 50th. Instantly the lady was welcoming and friendly. Service was great, and then when our food arrived I was blown away by the flavours, it was definitely the best Chinese we’ve ever had. Everyone left feeling happy. They even brought out a dessert for the birthday boy, and topped off with a shot. Thank you we will be back”
