“A hidden gem of Brighton. Very first time here and didn't disappoint for choosing this place. Love craft beer and they are the best one for serving craft. Such nice selection of beers from IPA, stout, Sour, neipa etc. Good choice for cask and keg. I like the atmosphere. Not very big place but have plenty of seats. Bar guy was cool. There were board games and such nice green house plants.”
“Really nice little cafe. Bright and colourful and the girl serving from South Africa was really friendly! We only ordered drinks and some chips to eat outside (17.08.24 about 15:25) and we were served quickly. Chips were brought out to the table for us outside so we didn’t need to wait for them. Will definitely go back - the burgers that the chef was cooking looked DELICIOUS and so did the chicken wings that we saw them taking out!”
“We have often walked passed this quirky little place and decided to give it a try. Lovely Sussex ales and ciders on offer. Was a great experience and we will certainly return.”
“We had the rib eye and it rates in my top 10 for flavour and texture, amazing! £70 for two beautiful steaks and a bottle of wine, totally worth it. I asked if the candle on my table could be lit as we were celebrating and every candle in view was lit, super service :)”

“I've obviously drank a lot of coffee in my time, but the cappuccino I had from here this morning, was probably one of the best coffees I've ever had in my entire life. It's actually made me have a bit of an existential crisis about my previous coffee drinking habits. If you keep driving past this place, please do actually stop and go in! I actually have shameful amounts of regret that I haven't been able to stop here previously. So thank you very much for the coffee. It's not even an exaggeration, it was very very good! ❤️”
“The coffees the baristas make at Kingsway are bang on every time. It’s obvious they take the time and care each time they pour to get the right consistency and temperature of the milk (which is rare!!). There is a lot of competition around Hove for good coffee, but Kingway is coming out on top each time for me. I’ve got a Gail’s at the other end of my road, and let’s just say I walk that extra bit further for one of these banging oat flat whites each time… Very pleased to have you in hove guys!”
“For me this is the definition of a hidden gem, a nice, quiet, unassuming cafe with a very homely feeling. Every time we visit, it feels like we're back in Japan. Everything is homemade, tasty but also healthy. We always have something savoury and sweet because we don't want to miss out and the matcha late is also great.”
“Sometimes you walk in to a restaurant and you think... this is a restaurant. Other times you walk in and feel like you are in someone's home being served their best food. This is most definitely one of the best Italians, if not homely places I've visited in a long time From the moment you walk in, you are made to feel at home. The food is amazing and I would recommend this place. They know how to do customer service and beyond. A must visit if you are in the area and a hidden gem”
“Love coffee and fantastic English breakfasts and helpfully staff. A must try.”
“Such a great place to eat! Unpretentious, tasty, freshly cooked food made and served by a fantastic staff. There are options for a variety of customers (personal favourites are the haloumi salad and the vegan breakfast). I can't imagine anyone not feeling welcome and well fed here.”
“Delicious coffee and probably the best spinach and feta roll I've ever had! Friendly and prompt service. Laid back atmosphere with some outdoor seating available for sunny days :)”
“We had a lovely lunch there. I got a jacket potato with coronation chicken, and a lovely salad. My husband got a panini. The service was friendly and prop mpt. The bathrooms were clean. And there is even a play area for the kiddos, inside the restaurant!”

“My mother and I visited this place on the 09.10.25 during lunch time hours. We were greeted with a beautiful smile form a young lady that was very happy passionate and welcoming. She designated a very nice table with a good view by the window overlooking the best view. All other staff were very kind and attentive including the restaurant owner . The atmosphere was nice with great menu selection and very good music playing in the background. The young lady was efficient and always took care of my mother's needs and even spoke in my mother's mother tongue spanish. The food was great, always well presented and very delicious. We had alot of fish dishes and they were tasty and well cooked . Overall it was a very pleasant experience lovely restaurant very clean on a beautiful sunny day. Upon existing the restaurant we were very impressed with the kindness and professionalism of everyone working that day. Also the lady owner was actually near the entrance she very nicely spoke to us briefly with a smile and said our goodbyes. Overall my mum and I and the family are planning to visit again. Thank you Isabelle Liz and the team for this most amazing experience. Much Love Martha & Alejandro.”

“Cracking selection of well kept cask ales (5 available at the time of visit), superb range of keg and a well stocked fridge with beer from all over the world. You're sure to find something you like here. A warm welcome and some amazing snacks - try the poppadoms, thank me later! Dog friendly and a toad table...pub heaven. Well done Jim, another winner.”
“Iv been working in Brighton for 6 months and tried a few places to eat until i found the station cafe. Don't bother looking else where because you won't find a better cafe in Brighton. The staff were very friendly and enjoyed the banter .as for the food its 10/10 . All there meat is from local butchers and not cheep cash and carry stuff .hats off to all the staff and owners .keep up the good work and i will be definitely coming back next time im in Brighton”
“A surprisingly pleasant cafe experience in Woodingdean. Great coffee and pastries. Parking is problematic, but access the youth centre lot across the road for parking.”
“Lovely pub right next to the station. Cracking beer line up including 7 cask pumps. Staff were tops. Perfect stop off pre/post train journey.”
“If you haven't visited here - then do! The jacket spuds, salads, amazing cakes are superbly tasty. We have visited quite a few times now and find it every time to be a relaxed and enjoyable experience, a great place to meet friends.”
“Nice big cup of iced cold americano. Beautifully decorated and furnished, much more modern than before.”
“Nice traditional pub. Where you can relax and enjoy a drink. Barley Mow has been there at least 50 years and feels warm and welcoming. A modern innovation, you are encouraged to order food in from local restaurants or try out the pubs own menu, so plenty of joice. There's loads of games to play, a patio with covered areas in case it rains. In the winter an open fire nice and cozy great for a romantic date.”
