“Wonderful food in a traditional, French inspired restaurant. A superb menu of 3 excellent courses for £55, with lots of choice including a divine fillet steak! However it is the little treats, all included in the price, that make this restaurant stand out, and make the meal a special experience. Amuse bouche with drinks, and before the meal (a delicious crayfish mousse). Then a calvados granita before the main course and a chocolate coated Berry ice cream lollipop as a predessert. We had a super evening. This restaurant is a lovely place for a special meal, or a business meeting or a gathering of family and friends. We will be back! Thank you.”

“This is what all the fuss is about. Special occasion Sunday brunch… doesn’t get much more special or delicious. Amazing value. The fish pie unlike anything we’d had anywhere, rhubarb crumble… literally everything was taken to a whole new level. Perfect for intimate meal or family get together. Very generous servings. “Genuinely maybe the best 3 course meal I've ever had, booked the function room for a surprise 30th and was genuinely unbelievable. We had Riccardo (might be slightly wrong) but couldn't have asked for any more. It is slightly on the more expensive side but one million % worth it if you want the full experience. “First time ever to an Ivy restaurant and it was fantastic. Greeted warmly at the door and taken straight to our table. Our waiter was lovely, he was charismatic and friendly. The restaurant was fully booked and the atmosphere was great. Now the food- one of the best meals I have ever had. Scallops and soup to start and they were happy to accommodate my fussy eating with the starter. Mains were sea bass and flat iron chicken and we couldn’t fault it. Great value for money considering the high quality food and service provided. Thank you”

“This place is truly truly fantastic. Don’t listen to the naysayers, the negative ninnies. The food is wonderful, the staff are gorgeously wonderful and the atmosphere top notch. In a way, this wonderful place is a bit of time capsule, but it’s one of the reasons why this place is so wonderful. Amongst the many overpriced, hyper-gentrified and over modern places that we are forced to dine in, this place stands out for something true, wonderful, fun, nostalgic and just brilliant. “Another great traditional Brighton pub that is tucked away just far enough off the main roadways to make it feel like a locals pub. Friendly staff, friendly locals. Great meeting point as it's just a few minutes from the station. Toilets a bit gross though haha.”

“We had a wonderful dinner yesterday at The Salt Room. The restaurant was full of atmosphere, yet we were comfortably seated at a large table. The service was excellent – the waiters were friendly, attentive, and clearly very professional. On their advice, we ordered the monkfish to share, served with mussels and moqueca sauce. It was simply gorgeous – beautifully cooked and full of flavour. To finish, we had the lemon tart and truffles, both of which were outstanding. A truly memorable dining experience. “A great little Bar-Restaurant located not far from the River Adur. It has a decent variety of local beers, ales, and gins. There was a reasonable amount of indoor and outdoor seating for its size. With outdoor seating, it leaves you in a great atmosphere, especially when the sun is shining and the nice cool breeze from the river hits you. The food I had was very tasty and freshly cooked. There's a good mixture of choices of options on the menu depending on your preferences. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. The number of toilet facilities was fairly limited for both male and females. Overall, everything was fairly priced. I had a pleasant experience on this visit, so I would definitely like to visit again.”

My partner and I went for a tasting a few months ago where we selected the dishes we wanted for the big day, which was great fun and super useful. All of our guests have been raving about the food, as often wedding food is too formal and everyone's left a bit hungry. The team also did 'late night food' (we chose pulled pork and halloumi burgers) which could not have gone down better. The service was seamless and Nicola is wonderful to work with. Highly recommend for any event!”
