“Wowwwwwwww what can i say that hasnt been said in the reviews before mine.This is a nice little place in Boundary area of Portslade. Billy and his staff are very warm kind hearted folk as always they come out and say helllo the reception on arrival never disappoints the food is brilliant good sized portions that will full up the greediest of whats inside us all. Lovely melted cheesey garlic bread to start so Yummy 2 portions and a Lovely choice of food and deserts just add to its flavour and balance and cooked fresh what more could you ask for. And a lovely little happy birthday to a little girl that was celebrating her birthday which all sang happy birthday to her so to sum up a lovely meal in a fantastic little fine Restautant book your tables here and experience what Billy and his staff and brilliant service will bring you good food and staff that really care with what they are putting out 10/10”

“Amazing family run Italian restaurant!! My boyfriend and I happened to stumble across this restaurant this evening and we were extremely impressed- from the service, to the atmosphere, to the food it was 5* all the way through. We were both made very comfortable upon arrival and noticed that our lovely waiter made extra effort to make note of our names and to make sure we were all okay throughout our meal, something I have not received at a bigger restaurant chain. It really did feel like we were treated like we were members of this family! As for the service, it was very quick and the presentation of the food at mamma Mia’s is PHENOMENAL! I had a beautiful sea food risotto which I will whole heartedly say was the BEST risotto I’ve ever had. From the flavourful sauce to the fresh mussels it was perfect! My boyfriend also enjoyed his chicken pizza and commented that he has never experienced a pizza like the one at mamma Mia’s. I had the panna cotta for dessert and the food just keeps on getting better, it was so creamy and the sauce tasted amazing! I highly recommend mamma mia’s if you want an authentic, cozy and welcoming Italian restaurant. We will definitely be returning and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!! “After coming here with three friends twice a week since Lucy opened up the Italian Coffee Shop, I thought it time to say that this little gem in Shoreham is what it is because of the way Lucy runs this place single handedly. It's spotlessly clean despite her being busy the whole time whilst handling often large parties of people. lovely coffee is presented beautifully with a small glass of water and a biscuit. Food and delicious cakes as well as afternoon cream teas etc are all prepared and served with the same care and attention. Hopefully, the counterpart of the adjoining Tosca's restaurant, fully appreciate what they have in this hard working lady. The coffee shop is managed so efficiently by the welcoming, smiling Lucy that I thought she really deserves a rave review. Well done to you. Both yourself and Tosca's should be very proud of not only your efficiency, but your warm and friendly hospitality. A rare combination these days. This place just wouldn't be the same without you. D. “Best Pasta in Brighton hands down!! Mama mi truly is one of Brightons best hidden gems. Giuseppe (the main man) is incredibly kind and charismatic and clearly loves what he does! The whole vibe of the restaurant is great too, really feels like you're back in Italy. The bruschetta was the tastiest I ever had in my life (I've had a lot) and the food overall was incredible! Shame about the opening hours but I heard they will do evening service once a week in winter.”

“A wonderful experience, I visited with a group of 5 (myself included) and the worker allowed us to push together the tables and was super helpful and accommodating! We ordered three pizzas and all three were delicious. Everything was homemade which was extremely impressive, and the atmosphere was very calm, and pleasant. 10/10 customer service, and 10/10 food!! I recommend visiting or ordering here if you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine, and a relaxing atmosphere with wonderful customer service!”

“We hadn’t reserved a table and we were sat quickly. We ordered 2 delicious cocktails which were good value. We ordered the Ortolan with a gluten free base and the buono and bello . Both were awesome. The service was speedy and efficient.”

“Had some amazing food at Casalingo. The garlic bread was so delicious. 4 of us had the seafood linguine which was superb. The others had lasagne, gnocchi and gluten free pasta steak and zucchini pasta.They gave my Dad a lovely birthday tiramisu which was a lovely touch. It was a quiet night which was surprising for a Friday. Highly recommend and would definitely go again.”

“The restaurant isn't very large, and initially wouldn't accommodate parties of more than four, though they later arranged seating upstairs. None of that mattered, as the food was absolutely delicious, and one of the waitresses was particularly lovely.”

“Ok. Let’s start saying that I went to this place with very little expectation to find Sicilian street food, contrary wise this place exceeded my expectations. A precious little place in duke street that stand out for all the competitors in the street. I went safe for coffee and cake and it was ever so good that I decided to have an arancino al pistacchio after, and I was literally transported to Sicily with the flavours of the food. At the exit I managed to compliment myself with Davide the owner of the place, which was exquisite. His passion is clearly expressed into the food and the attention to details. I would not hesitate to come back for a coffee and cake, quick or long lunch, an aperitivo or a nice traditional unique Sicilian meal out. Ideal for everyone, from kids to adult and wheelchair friendly with ground floor access and tables. The unpretentiousness of this place makes it ideal for a solo meal as well as a romantic date to impress. Sicilian typical product also available to buy at the counter....not to be missed the “Crema al pistacchio”. In conclusion, this place is a must go either if you are Italian or not, and you will easily spot why is second to none. So far the best “arancini” in Brighton.”

The pasta is made at the premises and both the pasta dishes we had were excellent, fresh and well balanced in terms of flavour. We will certainly come again to try the pizza which looked amazing. The service by what seems to be a mainly Italian team was very friendly. Highly recommended.”

“A great teadional Italian restaurant situated at the heart of The Lanes, so you can spend the day shopping and the chill and eat. Excellent food at a reasonable price. Warm and welcoming and lost of space so you should always be able to find a table. Pasta is made fresh daily. They also do a two course of three course special menu which is very good value. Nice selection of wines. Can't fault it.”
