“Had an amazing breakfast bagel here ,it was delicious and possibly the best I've ever had. Generous size and really filling. Highly recommend the short walk from centre . Flat white was also delicious and I'm fussy with my coffee .”

“Such a beautiful place to stay! The staff were more than welcoming and nothing was too hard. The boho room which we stayed in was immaculate with the most beautiful interior and very clean. The service was excellent with fresh towels, tea, cups and coffee every day and free refrigerated sparking water, still water and milk. The most amazing part of our stay at St Michaels was the buffet breakfast which is definitely the best I’ve ever had. Located in such a stunning area, I couldn’t recommend a place more.”

We were staying at Cheddar Woods for the weekend and popped out to meet friends to raise a glass for my daughters 21st ... we all like cider so seemed like it was the place for us :) ..... Really cosy and quirky place .... warm fire ... the lushest dogs .... Staff & regular's all made us feel welcome and our pet dog Eve loved it too .... Had fab pizza's and burgers - timed it wrong as had to leave just before live music started! Will definitely return and 100% recommend ... wish we had a local like this .... Thank you for your hospitality :)”

They have certificates up showing they have a "5" on the food hygiene rating, I can well believe this as the place is always incredibly clean. These guys know what they are doing, and do it very very well.”

“This pub was welcoming, and a relaxing place to have lunch. The menu had a good selection of typical pub dishes. Simple, rather than sophisticated, my steak sandwich was delicious, my wife enjoyed her quiche. Portions were generous. Pretty good value too.”

“We stayed overnight on 22nd October ready for an early flight the next day from Bristol Airport. The room is great, it was clean, had a TV, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits (which were well received as we arrived late at night). We'd booked parking there for our week away and felt confident that our car was safe there. We had their minibus to take and pick us from the airport which was only a few minutes drive away. Would definitely use again.”

“Booked in for Sunday roast which I can honestly say was the best roast I've had for a long time. So many pubs do roast very average but this was way above that. Everything was cooked lovely and the service was great. Well worth a visit and we'll definitely be back.”

“We moved from the centre of Bristol recently and that was literally the best roast we've had in or out of Bristol in years. My partner is veggie and is very particular about the veggie options in pubs and said it was fantastic. I had the best, crispiest pork belly iv had in a very long time. Properly cheesy cauliflower cheese and lovely veg! All in all, worth the price! And they have gorge best ale on! Brilliant! Will definitely be back!”

“I cannot thank this pub enough for the kindness they showed me recently. My car broke down nearby while I was already running late for the airport, and with no phone signal and no clue what to do, the staff stepped in without hesitation. They kindly let me leave my car in their car park for a few days while I sorted everything out, and even gave me access to their WiFi so I could book a taxi. Thanks to their help, I managed to make my flight in the end. Everyone I met there was genuinely lovely, friendly, understanding, and willing to help someone in a stressful situation. Proper good people and a proper good pub. I highly recommend visiting them. They fully deserve your support.”

“Great pub here with friendly stuff, thank you Tasha, Rupert and Sophie, Harvey and Ewan. The “HOME FROM HOLME” is a grrrreeeeat bitter, honestly I wish all bitter ales were like it. Very hoppy! The “Small World Beers” brewery did a fantastic job. This pub also hosts live events. It’s definitely a 5 from me.”

Loved the smooth radio station on in the room to arrive to. Great bar staff, excellent service, just wish we had the time to have had our evening meal there. Perfect location.
