“My wife and myself had a wonderful wine tasting today with Ben. I emailed Novel Wines before Christmas asking about a Wine Tasting on a Sunday and Ben replied confirming they were closed on Sundays but said he might be able to get someone to conduct the tasting anyway. This was incredibly generous of him and I booked the wine tasting up. We had the tasting today and I have to say it's the best we have ever had. Ben is knowledgeable and personable. There were no awkward moments at all and we got to taste 6 different wines as well as a delicious dessert wine. We ended up buying 4 bottles as they were so good. I would highly recommend Novel Wines if you are in the area and fancy a fun wine tasting.”

“What a treat this was, bought as a gift for my birthday last year, finally we decided that was long enough. A fantastic experience, with a fantastic host. “Lucky us to find such a lovely antique shop rather than the usual junk-type antiques so common these days. Beau Nash is special - high quality antiques and lovely Cynthia who is very knowledgeable and kind enough to let us take the George III mirror we bought home to London to try. If we didn't think it fitted, a colleague (who visits London regularly) could come and collect. Needless to say, it is perfect - well worth the wait and travelling 200 miles! We will definitely come to Beau Nash again.”

“It’s not possible to praise or recommend Jon highly enough, exceptional bike fitter and phenomenal person. I sustained a brain injury which makes judging if things feel better or worse nigh on impossible so wouldn’t be able to give the normal feedback, his expertise and vast experience meant that he recognised a significant hip issue, which I wasn’t aware of, and several bike fit problems and he did it all with good humour and put me totally at ease. I’m now in the care of an osteopath with hope to get back on a bike. Absolutely excellent service and so very grateful.”

“Dominic of DSH came a did a boiler service / landlord gas certificate. He was really professional and helpful with advice. He had to cancel the first visit as my road was being resurfaced - he had tried for over an hour to get to me with the traffic mayhem, but kept me posted. He came back as soon as he could to do the promised work. He replies to emails promptly, and gave me a quote up front. Very happy with everything and will certainly use again.”

After explaining my situation on a video call, Steve suggested a design that echoed my original ring, but also incorporated Whitby Jet and Yorkshire Oak to represent the county where my wife and I first met. “I had a small registry office wedding nearby at the Guildhall in Bath. I hadn’t arranged any flowers and came here the day before the ceremony in the hope of finding some. I was unsure if the flowers would be able to be made up on the day but I explained to the wonderful lady who was running the shop what I wanted and she was more than happy to help me. I already had an idea of what I wanted so she showed me some roses and when I decided on the colour she then bunched them together with some eucalyptus. She expertly trimmed the stems and tied some lovely ribbon around them which was held in place with some pearl like pins. The roses were also wrapped in paper and sat in water so they would survive the night before the wedding. She did this all within 5 minutes which I think demonstrates her talent and skill at her craft. I was so impressed with how quick the visit was, I was not in the shop for long at all. And I was absolutely thrilled with the results, it was exactly how I pictured it in my head. Thank you so much, it is so nice to visit shops such as this where the people who work there are dedicated and skilled at their jobs. It will now be my go to flower place in Bath!”

“Have Faith is brilliant, I'm so happy that I chose it to get my tattoos done. Lottie is super friendly and we can chat away or remain in silence for hours very comfortably. The artwork is beautiful, she's really creative and knows exactly what I want sometimes before I know it (shes really good at understanding what I like from the reference pictures). I fully trust her, and have sent many of my friends and family there too. Great atmosphere, really lovely work. Nice and clean too.”

Not knowing much about tea, we appreciated all of the information shared with us, the tea recommendations and beautiful preparations. All the care that goes into brewing the different kinds of teas made us want to learn more and appreciate tea in new ways. The cake and scones we had was delicious as well. Highly recommend!”

“In August this year, I visited Hobbs on Milsom Street to buy a smart black dress for my Father's funeral ( having failed to find anything but flimsy summer dresses elsewhere on the High Street!) The reason for this review is not for the clothes (we know Hobbs clothes are well-made and fit great) but for the service I received, especially at such a sad time. Michele was wonderful - such a kind lady, willing to help, advise, fetch other options and just listen. She made me feel like I was her only customer that morning, with none of the 'hard sell' you might get elsewhere. I felt smart at the funeral, that I did my Dad proud. I told the funeral guests the story behind my dress, and the wonderful Michele, when they complimented my dress. Thank you!”
