“Not been here in over 20years . I’ve Been to a vintage inn run restaurant before but not this one . A busy restaurant , better to book than just turn up and hope to get a table. A really nice setting and lovely atmosphere as you walk in . Staff are very friendly , and it’s not long before you’re seated that they come over to take your drinks order . We ordered our meals , starters came in no time . Waited a little longer than normal for our main meal to arrive , but it was worth the wait . Food was excellent , all cooked and presented well . Would definitely recommend. Hannah our waitress went over and above to make our night a memorable one”

Too many options on the menu to choose from and I decided to go for the steak one which was tender and juicy! My friend had a veggie burger which was yum! The halloumi fries were spot on. I only wished they served milkshakes too which would have been an icing on the cake!”

“I was returning from the chemist. I was hungry and had been hungering for some lamb cooked over charcoal. I asked their recommendations, and their chef came over and told me the lamb options they had. I ordered Beyti, which was lamb mince mixed with chopped herbs and spices, in a freshly toasted wrap. It was simply amazing. Great depth and range of flavours, and the servings were more than enough. It was a great eating experience, and the chef was right to recommend eating the salad mixed in with the lamb in the wrap; the flavours mingled yet were side by side in each bite. Outside and inside looked inviting, the interior decor was pleasing with a 'night life in a hot country holiday' kind of vibe- gold, black, mirrors, that sort of thing. Seating was comfortable, and the place was clean. Cutlery was shining. The owner and his son were courteous; it was service with smiles. I've recommended the place to my friends and will be coming there again. It wasn't expensive and this place is a culinary excellence.”

“I'd been a regular customer at the fabulous BC since the 90s, but hadn't visited for a few years after a house move. We came last night as a group of five and I'm happy to say that it's every bit as good as it was, with the same superb standard of food and hospitality as always. To achieve such a consistent level of excellence over such a long period is testament to Mo's dedication and his own personal high standards. He's the heart of the place, but the whole team should be commended for making our visit so enjoyable. There's not much point in mentioning the food, you just need to know that whatever you order, it'll be delicious! I definitely won't be leaving it so long to come back!”

“Full of flavour in every bite, spices of the curries are so perfect! This place is an easy representation of a authentic Indian restaurant. The chips are the tastiest I've ever had, the food arrived so hot, but ready to eat! And shout out to the delivery drivers, such nice, friendly people!”

“"Bungee Gum has the properties of both rubber and gum", had been mentioned several times throughout Hunter x Hunter. It is almost uncomfortable if it was not mentioned by a character named Hisoka. This level of comfort is what I expect from Wagamama and they nail it, it's not surprising but you expect it when you get there. Like Bambi's mum dying, "oh wow, there it is, she's dead..." just predictable. Nothing wrong with it, just predictable great service and comfort safe food in my opinion.”

“Best Chinese in Newport. Been going here since they first opened, I love there Chinese food but the English version of chicken peas gravy and chips is outstanding, pity they stopped doing the sirloin staek because that dish was divine ..loves the Wai Wai”

“Had a 17 ppl party and they managed well I was sat next to 40 biker table they were loud but were a good neighboring table very polite. Staff were flat out trying to serve Food came in good time. Good room temperature but got hot quick due to lots of people there. Overall good experience Our waiter was polite the guy with beard very friendly. Definitely will visit again. Hopefully after Christmas when it gets more quite. Thank you guys Keep it up.”

The food was full of authentic flavor, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, and the staff were exceptionally professional and well trained. “They really do EPIC pizzas at Caprinos. This one I had is a 12 inch spicy beef, tandoori chicken, mushroom and Jalapeño pizza, with stuffed cheese and herbs crust. Very friendly staff working there. Highly recommend the white chocolate cookies for dessert as well.”

“We had an amazing time at Mr Villa’s, the staff were extremely on top of everything and obliging to our every need. The food was exquisite and I would highly recommend the crusted cod to both seafood and non seafood eaters as it is amazing. We travelled a long way from Australia to enjoy the Uk seafood here and were not disappointed. Definite 5 stars.”

“Used Cwmbran Travel to transport four adults, two babies, five suitcases and hand luggage by minibus to Newport Station at 5.15am . Jan arrived promptly and took us all to meet our Other pick up. What a character she is! So warm and witty but also very professional . On our return journey, we didn’t arrive back in Newport until 1.30am . We hadn’t pre booked our lift back but we phoned Cwmbran Travel asking them to pick us up and take us home. We had to change the pick up time constantly due to circumstances beyond our control. They were brilliant. Kept on moving the time for us until we finally knew exactly what time we would be arriving. Jan met us at 1.30am and took us all back home. We can’t thank you enough for looking after us. Best minibus service bar none. A big thank you to Cwmbran Travel and the lovely Jan. You will be the first company we call next time we need a lift. Five stars from us.”

“Easily the best Chinese takeaway I have ever bought. My daughters and I were in Cardiff for a few days visiting my son, who is a student at the university. One night, we decided to have a Chinese takeaway and ordered from the Golden Phoenix. My son collected our order and it was ready when he arrived. We ordered egg fried rice, house special chow mein, Singapore noodles, chicken curry, and satay chicken. Every dish tasted fresh and delicious, and we also received complementary prawn crackers and a bottle of Tango. I wish I lived locally, as I would be a regular customer! Very highly recommended.”

“The most lovely decor with amazing and kind staff. The girl who makes fruit tea was not there when we arrived so to compensate they gave me and my mum free Chinese tea. They were very friendly. It does say on the desk at the front that card is not accepted at this time but there is an ATM across the road. The food was absolutely delicious and we are very satisfied with our meal. reasonable prices aswell 35 pounds for 2 main dishes and a side dish. 100% worth your money”
