“I would recommend Windsor Tea Rooms in Penarth. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The seating outside is dog-friendly. The food is lovely and a traditional home-style. We often pop into Windsor tea rooms after our weekend shopping in Penarth.”

“Blues Bar is a refreshing new place to eat delicious food and enjoy good live music in Weston. I enjoyed my evening there sharing a graze board with friends and listening to the local artist they had performing that night. They also have a good variety of cocktails which we all enjoyed throughout the night. The atmosphere is classy but relaxed and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I also stopped in for a full breakfast, which was amazing.”

“Stopped in the green house for a drink on a rainy day. Super dog friendly and a great place. The hot chocolate was one of the best I've had in a long time (was offered cream and marshmallows too, but not for me). Doggy treats available and the toilets were spotless and smelt a lovely lemon (nice toilets is always a plus for me). Would definitely recommend.”

“Really nice beach side coffee shop. Went in for a drink to take for our travel home. I got a kinder latte and my friend got a chai latte (?) With oat milk. The gent that served us was amazing and even asked if the alternate milk choice was a preference or an intolerance. When told it was an intolerance he told us it would be done in a seperate jug and cleaned twice. Very good with allergens!”

“Recently taken over by a new owner and there’s a clear improvement. Service is quicker, food is decent, and prices are reasonable compared to similar cafés in the area. Portions are good and everything came out hot and well cooked. Worth trying again if you haven’t visited for a while.”

“On the corner of High Street overlooking Cardiff Castle occupying a tiny retail space was Palette. Inside there was only a couple of tables and the counter with ice cream and cake.  The selection of ice cream was petite and mainly consisted of the core flavours. The ice cream was made by a company called Joes. I’m glad we stumbled on this. I have since found out that there is whole Joe’s ice cream parlour in Cardiff. If I return then I will check it out. On this occasion, although the offering was small at Palette, they had Welsh cake flavour. This had to be tried! We sat in at one of the tables to eat the ice cream plus we also had a hot chocolate and cappuccino. The ice cream was nice and creamy with subtle chunks of raisins and cake integrated.”

“Amazing coffee… my OH is proper coffee fussy and he was really impressed because beach coffee is usually a bit naff. The Mocha was exceptional. We rarely find a mocha that is just the right balance, but this one was delicious! Lovely friendly, helpful lady serving us too :)”

“***review for morgans table*** Family visited today from Cwmbran so we decided to try and book last minute. We were lucky enough to get a table and had a lovely experience. I'm a non strict vegetarian (i will sometimes eat meat products but very rarely eat meat) so was a little disappointed there wasn't any veggie options although chef did say to ring ahead in future! (Useful if you have strict dietary reqs). I decided to try the turkey, the rest of the fam had a mixture of meat and it was all cooked to perfection! So many vegetables to choose from and the roasted parsnips were just amazing! The puddings were lovely although the custard was a tiny bit lumpy. The staff are wonderful, all very helpful and welcoming! We will definitely be back again, this place is a little gem!”

“A great place for refreshments on Penarth pier with good opening hours. Got a Cadbury's hot chocolate and some welsh cakes to take-out before walking back to the Cliff parade free car park. Chatted about the Downtown Penarth mountain bike race in 2007.”

“On holiday from London, had to take my dog here! She loved it, she had a puppacino, donut and biscuit. I had iced tea and avocado toast which was delicious. Staff were super friendly and service was quick. I will definitely visit again when in the area”
