“Staying in the area for the night and decided on a Chinese takeaway, checked reviews for local ones online and this place seemed to be the most favourable. Gotta say, probably the nicest Chinese we've ever had, even so we'd consider the 35min drive each way to come and collect going forward! Chicken balls were amazing, ribs were absolutely superb, noodles were gorgeous with just enough spice and proper chips! Winner!”

“Wow, just came up from London to see my daughter who lives locally, she raved about this pub & it didn’t disappoint. The bar staff were friendly, drinks were perfect, even the locals were nice, but the food? The best fish & chips I’ve had. The others had huge burgers (chicken & Beefburger) which I tasted & were out of this world. It’s a proper pub & I can’t wait to go back!”

The portion size is generous, and it always feels like a comforting, authentic experience. On top of that, the service is excellent. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel truly welcomed. “It's a takeaway so can't review the atmospheric. However, it's sparkling clean in the shop. We have had the Midweek special a few times and it's great value and very tasty. We don't like hot curry, so perfect for us as sweet, coconut flavored. And the staff are friendly also. Thanks guys.”

“We hired the artisan cook for our wedding this weekend and what an amazing job they did. They did fantastic at catering for everyone and nothing was too much trouble for them. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the pizzas provided as well as the warm welcome given by the staff. We would highly recommend them for hire”

It’s our Pavlovian bell, summoning us from forklifts and spreadsheets alike. But it’s not just any beep. It’s the glorious trumpet that heralds the arrival of Steve, the man, the myth, the wrap wrangling legend. Steve doesn’t just bring food, he brings hope. An excellent selection of hot food and snacks that somehow taste even better when consumed while leaning against a skip in hi-vis. Whether it’s a bacon bap that could raise the dead or a hot wrap that hits the spot... Denise’s van is the spiritual centre of this estate. God bless the beep. God bless Steve. “Sadly just outside of the delivery range but the food is certainly good enough to merit collection. Food was ready to be collected after 20 minutes on a Sunday, definitely faster than delivery would of been. Surprise of the order was the 'noodles, chips & sauce' selected their sweet & sour and it was really nice to go with the mains. The Salt, chili and pepper chicken and double cooked pork in spicy yellow bean sauce were both really good too.”

It’s got that perfect mix of comfy corners for a quiet pint and a lively bar when you fancy some good company. A big part of its charm comes from the new landlady, Jen, who’s absolutely fantastic. “Been wanting to try Lahore Kebabish for ages and it didn't disappoint. The tikka wrap was delicious and a meal in itself, great value. The lamb chops and tandoori chicken are excellent, and I'm so full I haven't eaten my keema naan yet. Strong recommend.”

“Lovely hotel over looking the river Severn, the staff are welcoming and we even got offered a lift to the station from the owner. We stayed here as was far cheaper than Cardiff with Ed Sheeran in concert on and only a 15 minute train trip to the city centre. Yes we would definitely stay here again.”

“Cracking little pub and has turned around from previous visits. Staff are very friendly and even allowing changes to meals as I don't like BBQ sauce so swapped to hot sauce for my hunters chicken. Very good value for money and a reasonable pace for food. Look forward to my next visit”

“Spot on location. Hotel was spotless inside and out. Beautiful kept garden at the back of property. We stayed in room 8 sea veiw room at the top. Views were amazing. Room was very clean and well equipped, bathroom was stunning. I highly recommend a stay. Plenty of restaurants in area. Brilliant walks.”
