“Came here today as a Christmas present for afternoon tea waited 10 mins and no one came over had to go up ask to order drinks, hot drinks came but was luke warm. Food came and started eating and after eating the fruit noticed the raspberries was full of mould. My daughter was then sick in the toilet which I explained to waitress and not even offered a glass of water or nothing had to ask for it, really disappointed as I was looking forward to it and staff really not even bothered by it just on there phone constantly 7-1 update Went back a week later as manager rang straight away to apologise and offered another another tea for free and full refund and what a difference our second visit was. Amazing food and even the service was outstanding lovely gentleman that serviced us. Food was delicious and all left feeling very full. Would recommend”

“Staying in the area for the night and decided on a Chinese takeaway, checked reviews for local ones online and this place seemed to be the most favourable. Gotta say, probably the nicest Chinese we've ever had, even so we'd consider the 35min drive each way to come and collect going forward! Chicken balls were amazing, ribs were absolutely superb, noodles were gorgeous with just enough spice and proper chips! Winner!”

“Lovely customer service with accurate updates on how long it would take. Food was delicious and had that old school takeaway feel, think guilty pleasure. The mixed starter for one came with two chicken balls, two prawn toast, two spring rolls and two ribs which is great for the price and easily spread further than one person. Couldn't fault it.”

“It's a takeaway so can't review the atmospheric. However, it's sparkling clean in the shop. We have had the Midweek special a few times and it's great value and very tasty. We don't like hot curry, so perfect for us as sweet, coconut flavored. And the staff are friendly also. Thanks guys.”

“Wow, just came up from London to see my daughter who lives locally, she raved about this pub & it didn’t disappoint. The bar staff were friendly, drinks were perfect, even the locals were nice, but the food? The best fish & chips I’ve had. The others had huge burgers (chicken & Beefburger) which I tasted & were out of this world. It’s a proper pub & I can’t wait to go back!”

We always enjoy a meal here and it is definitely one of the best in South Wales. The price is also very reasonable and you will think you’ve enjoyed this much more than certain Indian restaurant in Cardiff that cost you twice as much but give you half of the portion. “Sadly just outside of the delivery range but the food is certainly good enough to merit collection. Food was ready to be collected after 20 minutes on a Sunday, definitely faster than delivery would of been. Surprise of the order was the 'noodles, chips & sauce' selected their sweet & sour and it was really nice to go with the mains. The Salt, chili and pepper chicken and double cooked pork in spicy yellow bean sauce were both really good too.”

“The Albion in Penarth is everything you want from a proper local pub — cozy, welcoming, and full of character. It’s got that perfect mix of comfy corners for a quiet pint and a lively bar when you fancy some good company. A big part of its charm comes from the new landlady, Jen, who’s absolutely fantastic. “Been wanting to try Lahore Kebabish for ages and it didn't disappoint. The tikka wrap was delicious and a meal in itself, great value. The lamb chops and tandoori chicken are excellent, and I'm so full I haven't eaten my keema naan yet. Strong recommend.”

“A great place to experience homemade, traditional African food. We had chicken wings, jollof rice with fried beef and the X Large grilled fish. All were fantastic but the fish was definitely the highlight.”
