“Beautiful restaurant serving authentic Thai cuisine. Everything about this restaurant is excellent: the decor is elegant but inviting, the food is superb, and the staff are fantastic. There’s plenty of options for vegetarians and diners with dietary restrictions. Dishes can also be adjusted according to your personal preference. Special mention and thank you to the lady (sorry I didn’t get your name) who was so lovely and made my day extra special when I told her it was my birthday. Your kindness was very much appreciated. I highly recommend visiting Thailand No.1 Matlock, but I would probably reserve a table if visiting at the weekend as I have a feeling it gets incredibly busy!”

“Had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast here for a birthday treat. I've never had a multiple course breakfasts in this sort of format, so that was interesting. The location is adorable, especially if you can get a window seat. Staff were patient and friendly. The food was amazing! Good quality ingredients, tasteful sauces. The crumpet for my eggs benedict initially looked store bought, but it had much better flavour and texture when eating. Mushrooms on toast was so savoury and creamy, but not overly saucy. The brioche used was not overly sweet, so a good balance for various plates. Would happily return, and looking forward to trying a lunch/dinner menu.”

“Will get South Indian food, food is good. Parking is available for 4 to 5 cars but when we arrived, there is no parking, so parked at Abbey street paid parking (£2.5 for 2 hours). Service was also good. Overall rating is GOOD.”

“We’ve visited twice in the last few weeks and absolutely love this place. It’s nicely decorated and has a nice atmosphere going on. The food we order always comes piping hot and presented exactly how you feel it should be presented. Very tasty too with tender chicken pieces and flavoursome sauce. Had the lamb on the bone last time and that was an experience and a half! After speaking to one of the waiting team about the poppadom dips, we found out that they are all made freshly on site and not just from a bottle. Definitely going to go back soon”

“Having a strong recommendation from friends for this restaurant which give us no regrets, although is a bit far from where we live but it's really worth it. They do the all you can eat buffet menu which is a bit different from Wing Wah or Cosmo that you need to go to pick your food from the warmer, foods will get dry for a period of time, but in this restaurant, you pick what you want from the menu then the chef will cook it fresh and the waitress will bring it to your table, that is totally awesome​, you pay about the same price per head but getting so much joy while you eat, meats are so tender and tasty, we have enjoyed every bit of it, I like to say thanks to all the staffs from River Garden Restaurant in Belper. We have already booked a table on Father's day, so see you soon.”

“The service is very quick, however that isn't reflected in the food. People often associate fast food with sub standard. This is not the case here. The service was fantastic, the food on offer was great. Dom did a fantastic job I went for the sausages, broccoli, mashed potato all served in a Giant Yorkshire Puddings. Great Dinner for under £9”

“Probably the best dine in Chinese around swadlincote, Burton and Coalville. The food is delicious but more expensive than your typical take away. We have been coming here with family, friends and work colleagues. Some work colleagues are from China when they visit and always want to come back here because of how nice and authentic the food is. I would always recommend to book a table if you dont want to be disappointed. The inside is nice but when busy always feels a little cramped at times. There's more tables for larger groups up stairs too. Would highly recommend it if you wanted a dine in Chinese.”

“One of the best steak houses I've been to! We went on a date because we had been highly recommended the place and it definitely did not disappoint. The staff are absolutely wonderful and we are very polite. The food's displays came out still cooking in front of you whilst you ate and the alcoholic drinks were amazing - especially the old fashioned. Lots of variety and everything is high quality.
