“Wonderful Experience at The Cottage Day Nursery! (Uttoxeter Rd, Mickleover, Derby DE3 9AX) Our child attended The Cottage Day Nursery from September 2023 to August 2024, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress they made. They had delayed speech, but the staff provided excellent support, and we saw significant improvement in language skills over the year. The staff are warm, attentive, and truly care about each child’s development. The nursery is well-managed, with fantastic facilities that keep the children engaged and learning through play. The meals provided are healthy and varied, which was a great plus for us. Overall, the nursery offers excellent value for money. “I can not recommend this nursery enough, My two girls started at 5 months old and I was so so nervous about leaving them why they were so little, but the staff put me as ease and made me feel so comfortable in leaving the girls in their care. Now the girls absolutely thrive off nursery and love going in everyday to the exciting activities available. When my girls don’t go to nursery they really miss it. Which really puts my mind at ease that they are having the best time while I work.”

“What a fantastic Pre-school. My little boy loves it here. Since he has started attending, his confidence, communication, social interaction has improved no end. The staff are all wonderful. His key worker Michelle is amazing- she has identified his areas of strength and areas which need further development and has helped him progress ready for starting school. Breadsall Pre school is a wonderful friendly, happy and caring environment and I’d thoroughly recommend.”

“My daughter has been going to the Carlton Nursery for about 15 months. I have to admit I was on the brink of moving her ... then I met Emily ... and then Jo. What a difference they have made! The staff are brilliant with both the children, and with me as a parent. They’re supportive and nothing is ever too much trouble. I don’t have to worry about being called out of work because they’re too short staffed or there’s something they can’t handle. She has a milk allergy that they’re prepared and equipped to support. This was very severe when she was younger and a real source of anxiety, so finding a nursery that I could trust was very important to me. The nursery itself has had a face lift. The staff are friendly and engaging. My daughter is always coming home with things she’s made or drawn; she literally runs in in a morning and reluctantly comes home in the evening! She has a real bond with a number of the staff, which gives me the confidence that she is getting the care and attention she needs. I honestly can’t recommend this nursery enough.”

“We went here for an open day over Christmas to take our 2 year old to see Santa. The whole event was brilliant - couldn't fault a thing. The drinks were well priced, the atmosphere was great, staff were all very friendly. It was very busy but the place remained clean and organised. We're considering becoming members with a couple of friends in the area. It was lovely to see a place like that thriving in this economy and I'd highly recommend giving it a try and supporting them.”

“Big store for a shopping centre with loads of products, 16 self-service tills plus cashiers as well means little waiting time. Fresh baked products are superb.”

“First time shopping at Next store on Saturday had no clue, approached Debra who helped size me up and get my suit fitted perfectly and also arranged to have it delivered on a Sunday delivery the whole experience was amazing and would not only recommend Debra but also happily shop at Next again in the future”

“Superb care and educated beyond school intake levels for all, especially for SENCo provision. My nephew attended La Petite Academy for 3 years; and since with their help, has come on leaps and bounds. Being an experienced primary teacher I have to certainly recommend. I watched my nephew not only grow academically but also as a confident young boy. Key workers and management were so helpful with the plan given to my brother for support and even as he moved up to primary gave advice and assistance with the transition which I know can often be traumatic.”
