“We had a group booking here and tried the churrasco experience - it was fabulous! Delicious cuts of beef, chicken, pork and lamb always arriving, and access to the market table. Also tasted a brilliant wagyu beef!”
“The best Latin food in Edinburgh. The ladies that served us were so nice and the whole experience was worth it. Such a small place with great authentic flavours. Well done, would happily go back there!”
“Delicious food, freshly made, generous portions. This is my first gyros and the bar is now set high! Would 100% recommend and I hope to visit again.”
“Aloo Bindhi is so good. The best one I have had in all the time I have tried it. I had them go low on the spice level so it still had a little kick to it. Portions were pretty good for the price. I would have liked a smaller portion and have it come with a rice or naan on the side so I didn’t have to order rice separately but this and an order of rice would be able to feed two people. Would go get food there again if I am in that area of the world once more.”
“My boyfriend and I popped in here for a quick lunch, I had the haggis panini and he order the kebab wrap. Food was so tasty for such a good price and the two guys behind the bar were incredibly friendly to everyone. They even gave us our first Irn Brus to try, since we’re from out of town! Great spot :)”
“Both our dishes were very tasty but after living and working in Thailand, I expected this Thai restaurant to serve Pad Thai with wide flat rice noodles "sen lek" but they either cut them very thinly or they used spaghetti noodles, it was very hard to tell ? The Thai green curry was nicely presented but should have been served in 2 bowls, with more green curry sauce. As you would expect from a mainly Thai staffed restaurant, the staff and the service was perfect. Lovely seating areas with individual seating bays on the entry level, plus a few bays elevated up, giving a great dining experience. The restaurant decoration is very nicely done.”
“THE BEST RESTAURANT IN ALL OF Scotland THE HOSPITALITY FOOD TASTE AND AMBIENT ATMOSPHERE I FELT LIKE I WAS IN PAKISTAN OR INDIA There is real magic in the chefs hands I recommend everyone go to The Guru in Edinburgh Mention DJ Kaps and you will be served Royally but they do that anyways Can't wait to come up and try the food again Big shout out to Waz and Adeela who have kept the dream alive Much Love Kaps”
“We stopped for brunch at this great cafe when walking back from Murrayfield. Our group of four received a really warm welcome and attentive table service from lovely friendly staff. The full Scottish breakfast was amazing - two of everything, tasted delicious, with a massive pile of buttered toast, and all beautifully presented. What a discovery, we will definitely return!”
“These guys are so consistent in their culinary art and customer service! We've been ordering from them for around a year now, I think, and the food is always absolutely delicious! Such amazing, diverse, authentic flavours. ”
“Melt in the mouth lamb, perfectly cooked chicken accompanied by absolutely delicious sauce, freshly soft and crisp nan and salad. First time ordering from here, definitely not the last!”
“Absolutely lovely. Excellent people and excellent food! I had the mutton curry and then the chocolate sponge - both were actually fantastic. Would come here every day if I could!!”
““Really delicious food! I ordered the Drunken Noodles and Prawn Tempura — both were excellent, fresh, and high quality.”
“5 stars all around. Lovely restaurant inside. The lady was so very friendly and kind, and the food was delicious and came quickly. Very good prices. Two very happy customers!”
“Good place, tasty food, good portions and affordable. Would go again, and the guy who makes the food is nice as well and seem to have a passion for making his food.”
“We and my partner always come here. The food is great and they often bring you a lovely soup even before you’ve ordered! It’s also very cheap!”
“i cant fault the food, which smelled divine and drew me towards this stall . the reviews about the staff being very friendly and helpful are true - a nice spot”
“George our redheaded server was so wellmannered, friendly and helpful, explaining menu choices and navigating the restaurant experience. He made our visit extra special and we will definitely return.”
“Really tasty and great options. Staff were friendly, welcoming and informative. Good pricing, especially for the location. Fries are extra but I would suggest sharing between two as portions are quite large. No need to book as quite a large space and walk-in was available, however you can book if you want to ensure a table.”
“Spent £10 for fish and chips which was totally worth it! We absolutely loved it and think that it's probably the best we've had! Highly recommend!!”
“Friendly, quick service! Definitely recommend!”
“So many places don’t do lemon chicken ‘right’ anymore- it’s always bright red, way too sweet and syrupy. However, I took a chance on Friendly’s as I’ve never been before, the place is very small and unassuming, but the menu is huge and the price of the ‘Happy meal deal’ was impressive. Only eleven pounds and two pound delivery. That gets you a main, and one or two sides depending what you choose. I got the lemon chicken, which was outstanding and the way that I remember Chinese lemon chicken from my childhood. A pale yellow (almost translucent) sauce with plenty of zing, not too sweet or bitter. The chicken was lovely, no fat or gristle. It wasn’t overloaded with sauce either, but there was enough ‘spare’ for dipping. I also chose vegetable spring rolls and egg fried rice. The spring rolls were great- I don’t normally like larger spring rolls but these hit the spot, even cold the next day. The rice was kind of standard, and a large portion, but I think I might try the chips next time as I felt like when the rice had been delivered and cooled down slightly, it went a bit claggy. However, this is the case with most rice from a takeaway Chinese. The happy meal deal is full size portions, they don’t skimp on it just because you’re buying the deal. You will need cash if they deliver, and you need to order over the phone as they have no presence online. This wasn’t an issue in my case this time as I had cash, but if I planned to order again I would need to make a trip out to the local ATM. Not sure if they take card if you pickup in store, as I’ve not done that before. The food was here in less than fifteen minutes, super quick. The woman on the phone and the guy delivering were friendly. I tipped the delivery guy however there was no pressure to do so. This is the best Chinese I’ve had in 16 years of living in Scotland, and after the lemon chicken I had tonight I don’t think I’d ever go anywhere else. £13 including delivery is cheaper than you’d pay in the shop for a 3 piece ready meal. 5*****”
“Staff very welcoming and kind. Food excellent and live music fantastic by Cal!”
“Decided to give this place a try and was not disappointed. The food was delicious. My satay beef was nice and tender with loads of flavour and everything else just tasted fresh and of a better quality than I've had elsewhere. One nice touch was that they poked holes in some of the containers to let the steam out so things like spring rolls and the salt n pepper chicken stayed lovely and crispy. The two people who delivered it were really nice and friendly too. Great food and service all round and we'll definitely be ordering from here again.”

“We lived in rosewell for 4 years and we've never been disappointed by dani's the entire time top notch”
“Yummy hot jacket potato with my favourite toppings. Pleasant gentleman who was nice to my kid too.”
“Can't fault it. I've ordered food from there 3 times, always ordering different stuff and so far I haven't found anything I didn't like. They don't accept card payments which is a bit weird because come on man we're in 2021, but apart from that, I can't complain”
“Very tasty have ordered many times and not been let down yet Order ready usually in exactly the time given when ordering online”
