“Over the last 4 weeks, I've been in this bar on a frequent basis and it certainly didn't disappoint. The customers are spot on, very friendly. But I must say, sometimes you meet people who totally lighten up your day. They are usually called Bar-Staff. I'll certainly be drinking in this bar again.”

“Lovely wee café with delightful friendly atmosphere and staff. There are tables, couches and small play area for young children. They serve a selection of tasty snacks, including soup and cakes, mostly prepared in house and dogs are not only welcome but get a free snack.”

“Possibly the best flat white I have ever had. My favourite go to local place for a coffee and some reading time on a day off. You can also pick from a fabulous range of freshly roasted beans. Great atmosphere and music. Run by lovely passionate staff to top it all off!”

“Had breakfast here while InGlasgow, food was very tastey and well priced. The decor is modern and the place looked very clean. Would highly recommend. They also put on special deals which is an appeal. Great place.”

“Breakfast with tea is terrific value comes with a roll and a tea black pudding is quality always loved stornoway but this was Welsh and it's better than stornoway nice thick cut bacon square was also good quality service was great couldn't be any better will ne back on a regular basis from now on also toasties we're decent nice fresh salad and coleslaw good coffee”

“This is one of those places where it just feels like home. A warm welcome and great service is provided. My wife and I had lunch here, the menu does offer a verity of choice. Although we both went with the comfort food of a burger which was well seasoned and prepared. Could have with ease spent the rest of the day here and not moved due to the atmosphere being so awesome.”

“Great live bands. Really interesting diverse types of people that drink here. Toilets a bit smelly and unclean at times. I have always felt welcome and had a good time. Keep up the hard rock and edgy crowd.”

“Cracking wee place to grab lunch with not allot of other decent places about. Brilliant portions for the money and the staff are all spot on. Tried pretty much every other cafe round about as I work near by and without going into the town centre or renfrew your not getting a better place for a quick bite for reasonable money. Can pay by card or cash, never had any issues with card machine not working as other reviews suggest and go here 3 or 4 times a week.”

“My colleague and I stopped to get some food here before our flight. I ordered the half chicken with the habernaro sauce (very hot) and my colleague had the fish and chips. We were served by Abbie who was very gracious and attentive. She made sure our meals came out quickly, checked whether the spice level was okay for me, and had a warm, positive attitude that really stood out.”

“The Crown Bar was an absolute lifesaver. On 27/10/2023 we had booked the Ferguslie Bowling Club for a wedding party of 30 only to show up to find they had been double booked. However the Crown Bar, after a quick phone call advised they had a separate bar as a function room that could fit up to 45. No deposit required and they moved mountains to accommodate us at a moment's notice. The staff were wonderful and the space was lovely, we were allowed to decorate and use the existing lights and utilise the sound system if needed. Cheap drinks, a vast selection as well and they even suggested we could order food in if we wanted to. Staff and venue were fantastic cannot praise them enough for saving the day. Especially last minute on a Friday night for a group of 30.”

“The Balnagowan Arms is a great bar/lounge, owners are so welcoming. They have darts n karaoke. It's always busy. On Neilston Road. Honestly go in n you will be felt very welcome. Enjoy one n all.”

“I stayed at The Abbey Inn 17/5:/25 and it was a very hot day so sat in the busy outside area and had a great afternoon whilst my room was being prepped I was out our that I couldn't get in till 3pm however as it was so lovely I had a couple of drinks and got chatting to a nice couple. It was extremely busy and I have to highly praise the fantastic staff and kitchen staff as I saw food was flying out and it looked fantastic. The atmosphere was great and the staff worked so hard. Onto the room now as I was on my own it was a single bed and though the room was small it had everything it was beautifully decorated and a fantastic large TV. Although it was very hot the room was lovely and cool and I used the fan provided which was great.. The bed was awesome just so comfortable and the bed linen just spectacular and pillows Lovely soft carpet and great tea and coffee facilities and a thing lacking in many top hotels Plenty of mirrors ladies!!! also immaculate bathroom and a great shower. I would recommend everything in the Abbey I loved it very much. Thanks so much x”

“Husband ordered burger, no burger left 7pm on a Saturday night, bit disappointed however, he had chicken burger instead, I had chicken fajitas, we had pulled pork loaded fries, brownie&ice cream for desert, omg all amazing, we were served by Ben, i think, who was attentive without being intrusive, polite and an asset to the mucky duck, great example of customer service. Food was best I've had in a long time and very reasonably priced”
