What impressed me, was that the lady in charge - who had a proprietorial manner - was instructing a couple of youngsters in tasks which she had set. There were customers in the shop, and the instructions were given in an understated and dignified manner and caused no embarrassment to either the youngsters or the customers. Class. The food was as ever, excellent quality and great value.”

“Ah, bless! We got food poisoning and had to find a place with very short notice. Not only did they accommodate us, but were very good with our situation, allowed us to check in early and helped us get back on our legs after being very sick. Location is convenient too, a nice restaurant right in front of the Inn, Macdonald's next to that and three supermarkets on the corner. We even found a dry-cleaner's close by.”

“After Mora shut in Finniestone, I worried that I wouldn't get access to amazing Italian food (especially their Ragu), fortunately Oi Mamma opened up not long after and has been serving up great food and service ever since. We've been several times and the quality is always very good, the Ragu especially. I see a few people complain about a limited menu, personally I think the menu covers off all bases very well, I would rather fewer nice dishes than a double sided menu of average. Will certainly be back, I hope they do very well.”

S&C Chicken wings were good quality and the Honey Chilli Chicken was pretty good too (spicy)! Would definitely order again. Plus delivery was quick. Only waited ~45mins.”

“Ambiance was casual but elevated, the service was excellent which matched the food! We came for lunch for their prix fixe and had a mackerel confit, a chicken with asparagus risotto and sorbet for dessert. The salty mackerel was well balanced with the milder biscuit and fennel and the freshness of the mackerel was not overpoweringly fishy. The chicken tasted sous vide and was very tender despite being the breast. There was a generous amount of butter and cream in the risotto - it was so smooth! And the crunchy parmesan “cracker” was delicious. I tried so many sorbet flavours and must say the strawberry was definitely my favourite and perhaps the best strawberry sorbet i have ever had (admittedly I do not gravitate towards sorbets so have limited experience)… it tasted like fresh pureed sweetened strawberries! The vanilla ice cream has real vanilla bean (delish!); and if you like eating figs, the fig sorbet tastes exactly like a fresh fig. Highly recommend!”

“My wife and I were here on opening night and it was almost perfect! The food was delicious and nice-sized portions too. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and you can see the owner has an eye for detail. Just a wee few things that can be improved to make this restaurant top-notch. 1) It was opening night so a few "teething" problems which is very forgiveable obviously. Just a little bit too long to wait for our orders probably because of the takeaway orders downstairs. 2) The liquor licence is coming I believe, which will help as the soft drinks option is not something which could be sustained I reckon! 3) The heat upstairs from the fryers downstairs is quite unbearable as I had to take my jumper off. A few customers mentioned this also. Perhaps fans or an extraction system downstairs could k Keep the heat from rising to the restaurant part! 4) The 3 girls and male host were very friendly and couldn't be any nicer...no complaint there! All in all a lovely evening and this can be improved to make this a favourite fish restaurant in the area. We will be back. We loved it and we both wish the restaurant well. May it go from strength to strength.”

“We have been eating at the spice chilli for over 20 years now. The staff are so friendly and lovely and the food is brilliant. It has been so consistently good for so long. It is basic surroundings for sitting in but that's because they're concentrating on making great food at a very reasonable price. The buffet always hits the spot and I've never tried a curry I've not enjoyed. The naan and pakora are also very consistent. It's definitely my favourite Indian in the wider area.”
