“I am a patient here at St Hugh’s hospital in Grimsby undergoing cosmetic surgery by the brilliant surgeon, Mr Riaz! From my 1st consultation to my admission and surgery today, everyone and everything has been brilliant. I had upper and lower facelift, one being the pioneering R lift meaning less recovery time. I had upper lids, neck liposuction and a chin implant. It took 5 hours and hurts like hell now but the brilliant staff are on top of pain and anything they can do to make you feel more comfortable- none of it is no trouble at all! I’m in a private room, can pay in instalments which, for me, meant I could get it done sooner at 54 rather than wait for my pension to mature and take the plunge. Mr Riaz was recommended to me - it’s all subtle but dramatic results as I have met many patients who I only know had any work because they told me. Staff are incredible like my main carer, Lucy but also Riaz’s Angels, Kerry-Anne, Sheila and Robyn (who makes the best hot chocolate!. Caroline, Mick the anaesthetist, Dr Petra and so many others I’ll have to add into this review later. I’ve been self-concious and planning this for years because of my genetics and low-self esteem the last few years, I’ve taken steps to stop the clock and make some adjustments to give myself a boost despite my lovely friends and family saying I don’t need it. Check in later to see results, physically and mentally! I hope to stop hiding away so much. Thanks to everyone at St Hugo’s for looking after me with their big hearts and professionalism. “We love this place. There's a normal large rectangular pool which gets deeper at one end in the usual way. Then there's a more shallow pool for children at one depth. Then there's a very shallow play area with tipping buckets, water squirters and a small tube slide, it also has seats under the water with bubble jets. Then there's two bigger tube slides accessible up a spiral staircase. It's really great, perfect for families. Make sure to book tickets though because it can get full.”

“(Note: this review is from John , Jan’s husband, as Jan was bed bound at the time). Our Bearded Collie, Maisie, was taken (terminally as it as found) ill at teatime on a Friday. The receptionist managed to fit her in at 5.30 that evening. Sadly, she had to be pts and the procedure was carried out in a faultless kindly manner. When it was all over I was left on my own with Maisie, and a box of tissues, for as long as I needed. After settling the bill the receptionist asked me to be careful driving home. I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you.”

“We enjoyed a 3hr Walking Netball session with members from clubs in our area. It was organised by Olivia Park who is our East Yorkshire Netball England contact. We had 4 teams of mixed abilities. This time we where playing a mini league with teams from South Cave, Recketts, Haltemprice, Hessle, South Holderness and Withernsea. It was tiring playing 2 full games in a session. It was good to see the other groups.”
