“Put simply, outstanding. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely atmosphere and very clean. The food was amazing, fresh, cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. My daughter had a fresh made pizza (we watched the chef make it), and it's definitely one of the best pizzas I've tasted. She loved it. The salmon and lamb dishes were outstanding. The cheese board, well, I thought it was for sharing it was that big, no, it was an individual serving. It was amazing, along with lemon gellato and Eaton mess, it finished off the meal. All in all, it is very reasonably priced for what you get. I would highly recommend coming here.”

“Lovely meal, I had the steak wrapped in bacon stuffed with Italian blue cheese. It was super tasty. Lots of gluten free options available as they have gluten free pasta and most of meats could be done gluten free. Decent price, really enjoyed it, would go again.”

I hold this place close to my heart as it gives me memories of my great-grandmother's cooking except she's dead and I actually meant my grandfather except he doesn't cook but every now and then during visits he would arrive with a good bag of chinese that we'd split up on plates and gobble up. “Popped in for a bite to eat as the restaurant was open late for the Hornsea Christmas lights switch on. So glad they were open. The food was exceptionally good and piping hot. We’ve just moved into the area and will definitely be back to sample some other dishes.”

“Just found this Italian bakery. Bread at its best and lots of other good things to eat. Not low on calories but who's counting when its so delicious. Favourite is Olive bread, just with butter or oil. Just moved nearby so will be shopping there regularly.”

“This is an excellent local takeaway, and deservedly very popular. I have used this takeaway over many years. The staff are very friendly and efficient. There is an extensive and varied menu. The food is excellent and good value for money. The chips are so much nicer than any of the big chain burger and chicken joints. They are always hot and you get twice as much for less money. I took this place for granted, I didn't realize how good it was until I went to some of the well known High Street fast food places. Spring cottage beats them all hands down.”

“The atmosphere is very friendly warm and welcoming. I found our server to be delightfully eccentric, but incredibly warm and I could see how people would want to return again, even if it was just for the warm atmosphere. I would describe the food as homely. Very comforting and tasty. Not food that shows off, but definitely food that leaves you feeling full and content. Very happy we decided to visit today and hoping to make this a regular in our restaurant rotations.”

“I tried a Fabio's special calzone along with their special pizza and I had never tasted anything like it before. I highly recommend that anyone passing through this lovely town stop by and try their amazing calzone. Great job, Fabio's staff!”

“On a nice Thursday evening in Hull we headed to a favourite spot of ours, Humber Street. We have been to Bert’s Pizza restaurant in Hull many times and had various degrees of success, but this was our first visit to Bert’s Pasta. It was amazing! We were welcomed by Jake and shown to a table with great views of Humber Street and the Marina. A bottle of house Red followed along with some house Rosé and we were left to read through the menu. A great variety of dishes on offer meant we took our time deciding but eventually ordered 1 Burrata & 1 Beetroot Carpaccio to start. This was followed by 1 Tagliatelle Alfredo, 1 Beef Pappardelle & 1 Tuscan Chicken Pappardelle along with sides of 1 Broccolini & a portion of Parmesan & Rosemary fries. To dust this all off we had 3 portions of Tiramisu. The flavours in these dishes were amazing and we will definitely be back the next time we visit Hull. Jake was very welcoming, friendly and efficient, thank you.”

“Partner had the burger and I had the lobster ravioli asked them for less chilli as the first time I had it, the chilli was overpowering the dish. They had to remake but sorted it quickly and efficiently. Cat our server was great, very attentive. Will be visiting again soon.”

“Called in to get my two girls some tea as we'd been to an appointment and this was an easy option. Absolutely great place. Staff were so friendly and attentive, chatting to my daughter about managing to eat a whole foot-long!! Very clean and tidy too, always a bonus.
