Breakfast in Leeds

“We went early in the evening for dinner and had no reservations. Luckily someone who had reserved didn’t turn up and so we got a table. The food was absolutely delectable and lip smacking . I could click only two photos although we had ordered 3 appetisers and a main course. The Bruschetta with Bufala and Parma - Belliisomo…Pappardelle Guanciale Pistacchio E Stracciatella was a first time for me… it was nice but would have loved some more olive oil in it. The Calamari Frito was very good too and the chili garlic mayo added that zing..we also ordered the Insalata Balsamica … fresh rocket and salad leaves, cherry tomatoes and some onion make it a lovely accompaniment for fibre.. while I wanted to try a dessert, we were too full and hence didn’t . Prior reservations are highly recommended”

“Cannot give this B&B enough stars. From the ease of booking and checking in, to the help with local taxis, to the gorgeous room and great breakfast. Cannot recommend this place enough. Catherine was simply amazing. The rooms are spotless, and so comfortable. We stayed in room 1 and the bathroom and shower are amazing. Bed is really comfy. We only stayed one night, but the breakfast the next morning was just perfect. A full selection of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, toasts and accompaniments alongside a full cooked breakfast, hot drinks and fruit juice. Was utterly divine and cooked to perfection.”

“My new favourite place to eat!! The mixed grill is delicious and perfect for sharing, as are the tea pots (mint is my personal favourite). Everything is quite reasonably priced and you never walk away hungry. Service is always great with friendly and attentive staff. Plus, if you've ever seen Tangled, the decor is very reminiscent of the arty painting room in which is just great. Very charming place, definitely visit if you enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine.”

“Fantastic hotel, lady on reception couldn't do enough to help us, breakfast was good as well, only disappointed with evening meal, microwave food and not warm or very nice, definitely stay again just would go out for evening meal.”

“Only bobbed by for a quick potato scallop, which came with bits .. bloody amazing. Crispy batter, butter soft potato in the middle , with free bits on top.. rally a meal in itself , but I got one to try and review, and happy i was too. Great value .. absolutely no complaints here worth of 5 stars.”

“Stayed at Andrew's B+B for one night to see a concert at The Trades Club. Andrew is such a nice and welcoming host, everything was uncomplicated and easy. Beautiful and cosy rooms and lounge, full english breakfast in the morning. Perfect location for exploring Hebden Bridge. Thank you, Andrew!”

“What a find. This place is a Tardis. Looks small but inside its big. Only spoke to Sharon on the phone but she was very helpful and pleasant. Met Nick at the B&B. Really nice, friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again. Brilliant.”

“If I had a better vocabulary, I could adequately describe Thorncliffe. Let me start by saying that Jo and Carmel are immensely accommodating and their place is not only clean and beautiful, but conveniently located to everything in town. Our room was spacious and stocked with all kinds of goodies. Breakfast was light and complimented with the best croissants I've ever eaten. The view from our room was outstanding. The bathroom we had was my dream bathroom complete with a giant stand alone tub and I felt like a queen the two nights we were there. My husband and I were hiking the Pennine Way and needed a couple days to recuperate from blisters and sore feet. Jo had a tub of cream she recommended and gave us hers! I can't say enough about Thorncliffe. If you're looking for a place to stay a night or two, Thorncliffe is the best option in town. Be careful though, you may want to stay forever!”

“Ordered a delivery sunday roast to Brotherton. Arrived in good time. Tasted loverly with a good assortment of veg.winter coming in now and we both enjoyed a delicious Sunday dinner thank you.”

“Wow..... Food is incredible and amazing service. My steak was so good, cooked to medium and the hake was so well presented. The wine was beautiful but the port was served at the perfect temperature, along with the cheese!”

“First try at this place and was really impressed. The menu was tasty and healthy. I had the poached eggs on sourdough which was tasty and a fun mix of textures. Gf enjoyed the sweet potato hash. The matcha latte was great, not too sweetened. Decaf flat white was top notch. Friendly staff, good COVID measures (screens, wait at door to be seated), but I don't recall giving them my details for track and trace. Decor is well done if standard for a hipster place. Nice wooden floor, industrial ceiling - as you'd expect. High quality though. Would definitely go again.”

“Lovely hotel, last visited 6 years ago and still as good as it was the last time. Great vibe and ambiance, my room - a Club - was very large, extremely clean, and comfortable. Nice little touches like four Nespresso pods, fancy tea, nice biscuits and a couple of Ferraro Rochers. Beds incredibly comfortable, couldn’t hear any noise at all, and black out curtains kept out the light! It was my birthday stay and was pleasantly surprised to receive a voucher for two free cocktails in the hotel bar. The bartender was fab, environment was great - 10/10 all round for the stay and would def come back. Price/performance ratio excellent.”

“We use the Leeds East hotel regularly but our visit this weekend was a really great experience. Young man on reception was very welcoming and professional. A special mention to the lady who put some treats in my daughters room as she heard it was my granddaughters 2nd birthday. What a lovely touch. And finally the lady in the breakfast room who was so lovely with my young granddaughters giving them a chocolate biscuit and a balloon each. This service was really welcomed so thankyou all and apologies I didn’t get names of the people who really made a difference.”

“Haven't stayed in a bedroom here but had a great works Xmas do last Friday. Food was lovely and service was friendly. The DJ additionally played some very good music. Free parking after 18:00 round the corner on Sweet Street which feels safe enough especially as I have an older vehicle. Those who stayed over reported a positive experience with the rooms, the blackout curtains being a godsend on Saturday morning.”

“Good premier inn. Staff are great. Room clean and quiet. Breakfast good. Shame parking is now chargeable, even for disabled customers. Bathroom a bit sweaty sock smelling. The TV reception needs looking at as the BBC channels were not available when I arrived. Used auto tuning option and found them, but the were breaking up and pixilated.”

“Stayed here with family for two nights at weekend in November. Excellent stay. Fantastic quiet location but within easy reach of everything. Fabulous staff and service with a smile. Only small complaint was WiFi wasn’t the best - we have teenagers!”

“I stayed here to see family for a few days, first visit what can I say it was lovely, staff were great made me feel welcome breakfast was very tasty and the girls on breaking were great even the evening staff also the housekeeper I met that day was very pleasant, only downside the car park was full of litter shout out to Karen Caitlin Mandy and the lady on the evening shift forgot her name will definitely be back.”

“I've never stayed in a Holiday Inn before - the staff were all so welcoming! We were assisted by James & Isabella who were extremely helpful after a mixup with our booking that wasn't the fault of Holiday Inn. The room was immaculate & a very good size - very much needed after a 4½ hour drive. Would recommend this hotel to everyone”

“I had an excellent experience at the Hampton by Hilton in Leeds. The hotel was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable — everything you’d hope for in a city stay. Breakfast was fresh and well-stocked, and the location made it easy to get around. A special mention has to go to Emily on reception, who was absolutely fantastic. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived. As we were not from the area we asked her for restaurant recommendations and where to go in the city and she was really helpful. Her professionalism and friendly attitude made the whole stay feel even more enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble, and she set the tone for a brilliant visit. Highly recommend this hotel!”
