“A great Greggs conveniently located on the high street for Pontefract that serves great food (nice and hot). Would definitely come here again for lunch!”
“We didn't have food so can't comment so will give 5 stars as not to detract from their score. Thoroughly enjoyed the place, great atmosphere, lovely pub, can't wait to visit again”
“The broken bridge is a nice cosy wetherspoons pub with an outside seating area. There is an extensive range of beers lager and cider including six hand pulled cask conditioned real ales some i have not seen before, the ramsgate gadds she sells seashells was particularly good. The ones we sampled were in excellent condition. The staff are very friendly and efficient the service was quick despite the pub being very busy. I will definitely come back next time i am in the area.”
“The pub is a lovely little pub with a huge room at the back to hosts parties and events the pub is being updated slowly and will hopefully look better great friendly people in the pub they host bingo karaoke race nights get down have a drink enjoy the evening”
“Nice spacious pub, cool on a hot day. Quick service and drinks reasonably priced. The pub and toilets were clean. Didn't use the outside area.”
“Greeted with a smile by friendly staff who were only too happy to take us to our reserved table. They asked if we had any special requirements, allergies etc. They were so attentive throughout, we were allowed to eat our meals in peace without being disturbed. The only downside to the evening was the fact my husband has sensory issues which we were catered for by way of a quiet area but some adults allowed their children to run around screaming which made us leave early. The staff and manager were in no way to blame for this as it is a family friendly establishment but it would have been nice if the parents of the children showed a little respect for others dining this evening. The meal was superb, my steak cooked to perfection, my husband said the mini trio of pies was amazing too compliments to the chef. Mrs Kay illingworth 6pm booking 17/02/24”
“Brilliant very clean and good food”
“Brilliant Local Spot – Thanks to Cameron & Debbie! Just had another great evening at the pub, and it’s all thanks to the fantastic hospitality from Camron and Debbie. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel like home. They’ve really created a place where everyone feels like a regular, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. The drinks are always spot-on, the service is quick, and there’s a real sense of community that you don’t find everywhere. Camron keeps the vibe lively and friendly behind the bar, while Debbie makes sure everything runs smoothly with genuine care and attention to detail. Whether you're popping in for a quiet pint, catching up with friends, or enjoying one of the themed nights, it’s always a pleasure thanks to the effort these two put in. Can’t recommend this place enough—cheers to Camron and Debbie for making it what it is!”
“I ordered a bbq ringer burger a zinger wrap a cookies and cream milkshake and a panini. Despite getting mixed up the person who took my call was very polite and happy to exchange it and send a new one out. The food was absolutely lovely.”
“First time here in a long while. Came with my 2 year old daughter to see the ducks and decided to have a drink. Nice and clean place with lots of well space seating inside and out. Lady who served me was very nice and helpful. Decided to let my daughter use the soft play area which was very reasonable at £1 and did a great job of keeping her entertained. Did not try the hot food but we will be when we return the monday after. When speaking to the lady she mentioned carvery on wednesday and sunday which sounded great and yet again seemed to be a good price at around just under £6 i think she said. I think it's mine and my daughters new favourite place on a monday as its nice and quiet and lovely when weathers good and we like the ducks. On the whole a nice and clean spacious enviroment that offers food (yet to try) a nice play area for the children and somewhere you can relax all run by helpful and friendly staff.”
