“Lovely café for a lunch stop, very friendly service, delicious food, and varied menu including plenty vegetarian options”
“We have eaten here on a number of occasions and we decided to go as a group again last night. As always the staff are lovely, the owner once gave us a lift home when the taxi did not arrive! This is a small family business. The food is excellent and is a fair price for the quality. Would highly recommend.”
“I was there this morning for a sausage and egg sandwich and a cup of tea. Very happy with everything and will definitely be back.”
“Lovely local cafe, food is always delicious, and the staff and patrons are all so friendly”
“Good to be back. Used to be a regular but haven’t been for ages. Nothing has changed, still great food and staff.”
“Really enjoyed my breakfast and I class myself as a breakfast subject matter expert. If marks out of 10 would be a 9 slight downgrade for not having Yorkshire tea: food was piping hot very tasty and fried bread and hash browns were amazing. I’ll be back for sure.”
“Really delicious! Everything was freshly made and the seafood was top quality. The staff were super friendly and the airfield view was interesting! I'll definitely be back.”
“There was nothing for drink. I had a lovely Flat White. Very well made the best in Wetherby. Great milk to espresso quantity lovely it was!”
“Great little cafe, good food options. Stopped by for breakfast and it was top quality ingredients used and a very nice coffee without breaking the bank. Local business doing things right in my opinion”
“Very nice, very friendly. They don't have a telephone, you know.”
“I had a wonderful stay here! The rooms were tidy and welcoming. The bathroom is spacious and well-maintained. The hospitality was truly amazing. Everyone working there was so kind and attentive, always making sure you were well looked after. One of the highlights was the live music in the evenings, which created such a warm and enjoyable atmosphere. Shoutout to Chris Taylor! Overall, it’s a place that goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay.”
“We were enjoying a weekend away in Linton and booked a table at The Windmill for Sunday lunch. Highly recommend. We were very well looked after by the deputy manager, Renee. Meal and service was excellent.”
“Great place to chill , meet, let kids play indoors and out, enjoy nature! Sit comfortably in or out, great ice cream and milk shakes ( as you'd hope at milk churn lol). The afternoon tea is great, food and value. Just good for a quick stop off even, for a nice scone and cuppa.. my little reward driving back from Seacroft hosp. My little nieces, love it too, nice environment, they always make nice new friends. Perfect to enjoy on a sunny day, and relax. Enjoy! X”
“Second visit to L'Aquila and another great experience. Between the 4 of us, we had 3 different pasta dishes and a pizza - all really good quality and just right portion sizes. Beer and wine goid choice and decent prices. Both visits have felt like the front of house staff could do with one more at busy times as it was a little slow to take drinks then food orders, and a big gap between serving starters and mains (we like a decent gap, but this was a tad lengthy). Definitely didn't spoil the experience, so don't let it put you off - just be aware and look forward to a bit of a more relaxed pace than you might be used to. We will be back soon.”
“Booked a table for my family to celebrate a birthday. We were allowed to take our own cake although we did have deserts! Staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Sticky toffee pudding is amazing with chunks of cinder toffee! We'll certainly be back and thoroughly recommend.”
“Fantastic village pub with a friendly, cosy feeling. Good choice of drinks and very reasonably priced. Credit to the landlord and landlady, Steve and Sam for making it the place it is. You're always made to feel welcome by them and all the lovely bar staff.”
“Friends of ours recently moved to the area, so we went to visit them for an evening, and after reading about the pub online beforehand, I was a little on the fence as the place has some 'strict' rules. However, as soon as we entered, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the regulars were also lovely and chatty. It felt like a time warp (in a good way) of when pubs were pubs, and people mingled and just chatted and laughed. Something that feels lost these days. No riff raff, just good people, and good beer. Although I'm only 32, I gravitate to pubs with older punters, as they're not stuck to a phone all evening, and just want to socialise and be present. We all loved the place. It was cosy, warm, inviting, and best of all, extremely fairly priced! We will definitely be back the next time we visit!”
“It was a lovely place to call for a sandwich and a coffee. The coffee is the best i have ever had, and i always leave full after my sandwich. They have a good selection of cakes , ice cream, and milkshakes. They also do outside catering for events.”
“Thank you so much CT staff for a thoroughly enjoyable morning session with our grandchildren aged 4 and 6. A safe, clean spacious environment, food (kids lunchboxes and jkt pots for Ganny and Granddad) reasonably priced and perfectly acceptable. Our two love the outdoor area but also enough to keep them happy and safe inside. All staff extremely pleasant and professional, work hard to maintain cleanliness and efficiency. The best soft play/ activity centre we've been to (and we've seen a few!!) Thankyou.”
“Met family for a quick lunch. Pub wasn’t too busy, it was 12 but was filling up when we were leaving. The beef burger was pretty standard but the chunky chips were delicious. Staff were nice and friendly and the pub was clean so all in all we would go back.”
“Always a smile from the staff. A fine selection of cakes and pastries as well as hot meals. A welcome addition to Wetherby!”
“We booked as a family group of 11 with accessibility requirements and wanting to bring a dog. Everything was arranged and sorted really easily and nothing was too much trouble. Ruby, who took and managed the booking was great. Abbie who looked after us on the day was amazing. The food was delicious and we all had a thoroughly wonderful time. As it was my birthday, it felt really special to know that everything was taken care of and I didn’t have to think about any of the arrangements. We’ve been several times before for meals out and we’ve always had excellent service and the food has been incredible. Thank you to the whole team”
“Was recommended to visit Inn at Scarcroft, my wife and I went last night and wow it was like walking into Wonderland so bright and decorative. Sophie the manager was attentive and helpful to us and explained the festive menu to us, we placed our order and what a delight to see such lovely food brought to the table. Thoroughly enjoyed our night at the Inn. Thank you Sophie and your team. Merry Christmas to you all we will be returning soon. Denise & Nigel.”
“We've been here a few times. The most recent visit we had an afternoon tea. The price is £14 with a minimum of 2 people, and there's a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes.”
“good in winter u can skee the corse and in summer they one weeled eletric bikes cool i know but that is not all the objects talk magical”
“I wouldn’t normally go to a pub for food but was pleasantly surprised. Nice and quiet inside, calm atmosphere and quick service. I ordered the smoked tofu wrap with chips, on the dinner deal (meal and drink for £7). It was better than I expected! Lots of flavour, plenty of tofu, nice chips and super cheap. They have 3/4 vegan options which all sounded really good and it’s nice to have some choice”
“Visited on a lunchtime a couple of weeks ago. Not been here for a number of years and the place is even better than i remember. I was assisted by the landlady to get the wheelchair in. Once in the place was easy to navigate. Drinks including real ales are really well kept and reasonably priced and the food is amazing. I had a liver and bacon dish with a thick onion gravy with steamed vegetables which looked and tasted beautiful. Unfortunately no room for a dessert. Very tasteful Xmad decorations and great staff make this a must return to place Returned this week and had a great meal. Homemade lasagne, salad and garlic bread. Amazing and very filling.”
“No food, so can't review. Lovely to see new tenants at The Royal Oak. Refurbished to a very high standard. Good beer, good prices. We will be back soon. Wishing the team at The Royal Oak all the best to a successful tenancy.”
“Pub grub at it's best. Large wholesome portions and great quality. Friendly staff too.”
