“Fantastic customer service in York . Saw my dream boots online only to find that stock was not in store but could be ordered online. Unfortunately the online process didn't allow me to input an address in Australia and it was our last day in York before heading to Scotland for a couple of weeks . Unfortunately I didn't get the customer service lady's name but she was amazing. She located a store that we would be near on our return to England in the way to the airport and arranged for the boots to be collected there. Over and above service. Thank you. I will be reminded of your efforts every time I wear them.”

“Took my son for his cut last week and very impressed with how experienced and good these guys are. I just explained what look we were looking for and we were totally impressed with the result. Paid 10 which was very reasonable as well. Will definitely be going there again and would highly recommend this place.”

“I had a fantastic hair cut today by Sam the new Barber. I travel from the other side of Bradford to have my haircut at Tyrone’s place and it is a fantastic place to have a chat and get some great advice on styling your hair. Five star setup. Well done guys.”

“Couldn’t recommend these guys more! They provided a team lunch for a meeting in our office. Incredible sandwiches and incredible value for money. Our team was extremely happy with their little pack ups which each had a sandwich, side salad, savoury snack and sweet snack. Will definitely be doing this again for lunchtime meetings.”

“I met with the lovely Ellie about 6 weeks ago sat down with her and told her about my family holiday I wanted to book for 2026 ! She took down all my preferences , all inclusive daytime flights destinations etc , I left her to do the work for me and come back with suggestions ! She duly came back listened to what I said about them then fine tuned until she rang me and said I’ve found it!! I rushed in and booked straight away ! We are now looking forward to the holiday next year ! I can’t praise Ellie enough , dealing with me for a start isn’t easy !! So thank you Ellie I’ll be back to book more holidays !!”

“Wow. What a place. Absolutely buzzing with atmosphere on a Thursday night. We didn’t order food (apart from a couple of packet of tasty Yorkshire Crisps) but the food & portions looked awesome. Great selection for all tastes (Carnie, Veggie & Vegan). We got the only two seats at the very narrow bar and had a right laugh with the no-nonsense bar crew. It was so easy to order drinks using a number on the display next to the bar. The beautiful wooden rafters and full taxidermy wall make the upstairs bar one of the maddest place to get a pint. I think there is a potato is a big cat’s mouth. Standard. Sheepskin covered church pew and candles in bottles with years of dripping wax adds to the madness. As well as the incredible selection of cask & keg, they had Whitby Rum on the shelf. No generic spirits here! Oh and the soundtrack… The bar crew were playing what they like. Not what the brewery tells them to. Refreshing! Can’t wait to return.”

“See the update at the end of this original review. We have been coming here since the very beginning. It started with a kiosk while the cafe was being finished. We were extremely impressed by the fabulous coffee and brilliant staff. When Caffe Valeria was opened we knew we had found “our” place! We visit often, both as a couple and some times with friends. The coffee is and the choice of cakes and pastries is excellent. The staff are always smiling and making us feel welcome. All the staff are helpful and kind. We must mention George, Liv and Olly as going above and beyond to make us feel special. Please don’t change a thing. Helen and David Update, George, Liv and Ollie (the stars of Valeria’s) have all left taking its heart with them. We no longer go there. Staff could be better trained, owner unpleasant. We feel we have lost something very special.”

“Fantastic place to visit, loved the interesting music related decor and whole atmosphere of the cafe. We attended a music bingo night and had a fun time. The owners were great hosts and had put on a fab event. There is a good selection of drinks available, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I would also highly recommend the grilled cheese sandwiches. We had the all-day breakfast and smokestack lighting sandwiches, and they were delicious.”
