“The broken bridge is a nice cosy wetherspoons pub with an outside seating area. There is an extensive range of beers lager and cider including six hand pulled cask conditioned real ales some i have not seen before, the ramsgate gadds she sells seashells was particularly good. The ones we sampled were in excellent condition. The staff are very friendly and efficient the service was quick despite the pub being very busy. I will definitely come back next time i am in the area.”

“Just ordered a delivery and it was running a bit behind because they were so busy. Busy enough for the owner to be doing deliveries, she was so appologetic it was a bit late, which we were completely fine with but she gave us a free bottle of pop. So appricative plus the bonus of delicious food”

“Used to be The Highwayman. The new owners have dragged this pub out of the 1980s. It is now a semi-upmarket public house facing the Valley Gardens selling quality beers, woodfired pizza and other bar snacks. Impressed. Not the cheapest place in Pontefract but you get what you pay for.”

“Greeted with a smile by friendly staff who were only too happy to take us to our reserved table. They asked if we had any special requirements, allergies etc. They were so attentive throughout, we were allowed to eat our meals in peace without being disturbed. The only downside to the evening was the fact my husband has sensory issues which we were catered for by way of a quiet area but some adults allowed their children to run around screaming which made us leave early. The staff and manager were in no way to blame for this as it is a family friendly establishment but it would have been nice if the parents of the children showed a little respect for others dining this evening. Opting to try this establishment for the first time, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of their offerings. The pizza, in particular, stood out as a highlight of the meal. Additionally, the lasagna proved to be a pleasant surprise, surpassing even those served at traditional Italian restaurants in terms of taste and quality. Fries were crispy and flavourful. While the prices at Chicos may lean towards the higher end compared to other takeaways, the exceptional flavour and freshness of the food more than justify the cost. In essence, the superior taste and overall dining experience make Chicos a standout choice for any takeaway occasion.”

“Ordered for work there was over 25 different orders, We asked for the food to be ready at 2130. The food was pipping hot and fresh the order was on point with everything there. All members of staff made positive comments on how nice fresh and hot the food was. massive credit to the staff and especially Mel who made sure it was ready on time fresh and kept on checking that it was all correct and ready to go. Peppinos have definitely got a lot of new customers from this order.”

“I ordered a bbq ringer burger a zinger wrap a cookies and cream milkshake and a panini. Despite getting mixed up the person who took my call was very polite and happy to exchange it and send a new one out. The food was absolutely lovely.”
