“It's very busy and you need to plan ahead as much as possible. There just aren't enough dentists in the country. The reception are friendly and as helpful as they can be. The building is nicely refurbished and clean. The dentists have all been excellent. I recently had a filling redone and didn't sleep the night before due to worry from previous painful experiences (at other practices) the treatments was very efficient, but the dentist took time to make sure there was no pain. I'd really recommend.”

On arriving the receptionist, to whom I had spoken on the phone to make the appointment, remembered me and broke off from dealing patiently and politely with a long winded and difficult patient to help me. “I only get my teeth checked here as I have braces under an orthodontist in the city centre but the staff are always lovely. My daughter has been coming with me for more than a year to this practice and she's not frightened of the 'magic chair' or the 'shiny light' or the lady 'with the funny accent'. She's not intimidated by any of it and I think this is really important to a parent - taking your child to a dentist can be daunting especially if you're one who has had bad experiences with dentists in the past, but it's a necessary thing. My husband has fillings, smoker's gums, the works, when we started going to this practice he needed a clean and he bled tons but the staff were so patient and polite, so kind and gentle with him. They told him how to take care of his teeth in a way that his previous dentist hadn't before. The dentists, dental nurses, reception staff at this practice, they all genuinely give a damn. Even if they've just been ratted at by the previous customer, they actually physically take a deep breath, and carry on because they realise you're a brand new person not like the one before. They all treat you with a stellar smile and they really know what they're doing. :) :) :)”

I’m not good with dentists to start with having had a very bad traumatic and long experience with a different practice and I was terrified. The dental surgeon (Eddie) and his nurse did their best to put me at ease and I was absolutely shocked and surprised at how quick and painless the whole procedure was. I was given after care advice and I was out in ten minutes. I could have hugged the pair of them. Absolutely blown away with the whole experience. Thank you.”

Unable to drive, due to the injury, I got a taxi, which arrived much later than they promised, but still the receptionist said I'd still be seen. I made a point of thanking all the receptionists as I passed on the way to see the Doctor, who was very helpful too. Been with this practice for about 20 years now.”

“So many negative reviews for no reason! I recently switched to this pharmacy from Boots and honestly I'm sad I didn't switch sooner! The pharmacy processes my prescriptions (sent electronically from my GP) within the week, most times it's within 2 days which is perfect. One of my medications is affected by a current global shortage, but the pharmacy does ring me and let's me know that they don't have it in stock. After working in pharmacy myself I know that they can't do anything about it so I'm not annoyed at them in the slightest - it's just how it is. They have also liaised with my GP about their current stock and whether the brand or strength can be changed, which helps me massively (i.e. I don't have to attempt to ring every pharmacy within a 10 mile radius to source my medication). Maybe I have just come to expect so little from pharmacies after dealing with Boots for years, but no I honestly believe that this pharmacy is great. They pick up their phone almost immediately if I need to ring them, and they also send a text reminder when my meds are ready to pick up.”
