“Stayed in a fully furnished one bedroom, one bath apartment that was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary pots, pans, dishes, glassware, even basic spices and cooking oil, coffee and tea, detergent tabs for the dishwasher mixing bowls, etc. The staff working there are genuinely interested in making their guests’ experiences good, and take pride in their work - it showed in the daily interactions not only with me, but with what I witnessed. Parking to unload bags required a bit of creativity, but the location is honestly so conveniently located, and parking is easily walkable, so that totally made up for it. “We stayed at St. George's guesthouse for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The room was nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. The host was very helpful and approachable, and there was plenty of on-site parking available. The guesthouse is a straight 30-minute walk to the city centre, so an ideal place for visitors to York who want a quiet place to stay. We will be sure to visit this guesthouse again.”

“Brilliant accomodation in central Leeds. Well appointed rooms. Lifts were out of order, but no offer for any help with the bags on arrival or departure. Fire alarm went off in middle of night ( very loud!).Apparently , this happens a lot as it's the fire door attached to the bar which is shared and it opened by mistake , setting off very loud alarms. Rooms have a small but useful selection of breakfast snacks , which were very handy with jet lag. Room was lovely and warm and welcoming for a late 11pm Friday night arrival. Was greatly appreciated. Would definitely staff here again over a hotel. Their online customer services/bookings was excellent.”

“We got married at Wentbridge in August, and we honestly couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were struck not only by the beauty of the country house itself, with its charming character and stunning gardens, but also by the exceptional service delivered by every member of the team. The staff truly provide a 5-star experience. They were professional, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. Many of our guests even went out of their way to tell us how wonderful the staff were on the day. As a same-sex couple, one of the biggest reasons we chose Wentbridge was because we were treated with complete warmth and equality from the very start. We always felt valued, respected, and celebrated, never “different”, and that meant the world to us. The food was another major highlight. There were plenty of options and the team were so flexible in tailoring everything to what we wanted. We chose afternoon tea for our wedding breakfast, and it went down brilliantly with our guests, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. A real luxury touch! Wentbridge is a perfect all rounder wedding venue. With family travelling from all over, having plenty of rooms on-site was ideal, and the variety of spaces throughout the hotel created a natural, enjoyable flow to the day. We were able to make the most of both the indoor and outdoor areas, giving us the best of both worlds. A special thank you to Chloe, Ellie, and Karen, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. “What an amazing place to stay, rooms are to a very high standard as train carriages quirky and amazing. Staff are very friendly and the service is second to none. The food here is absolutely amazing, me and my wife had an amazing stay would recommend and we will be back.”

“Quirky and fun! The decor is all kinds of classic English history with a hearty splash of irreverence, split across a couple buildings that feel like homes rather than a hotel. The room itself was small, but that suited me perfectly — great for a solo traveller. Only thing to note is I’m somewhat tall for a woman and on that bed I just about could touch my toes to the window sill while my head was by the headboard. I thought it was quite fun but taller people might want to take note. Everything was neat and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The walls are a little thin, like in any old house, so you can hear some bustling in the morning, but I personally found that endearing. The staff were very kind and friendly, and even introduced me to the hotel cat, Teddy! The location is great, just a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of town. I come through York frequently so I can say with certainty and delight that I’ll be staying here again! Thanks again to the staff for a lovely experience.”

“We had an amazing stay at Catgill Glamping Pods! From the moment we arrived, everything was clearly signed and beautifully presented, with a modern, welcoming reception. The pods are perfectly placed on a hillside overlooking the stunning Bolton Abbey village – the views are incredible. The pods themselves were spotless, stylish, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was a real highlight – preheated and ready to go, with logs provided. We booked the over-50s deal and were pleasantly surprised with a free bottle of bubbly and a warm breakfast (fresh pain au chocolat and coffee) delivered right to our pod in the morning – such a lovely touch! The location is ideal for walks into Bolton Abbey and there are great cafes nearby. We highly recommend Catgill and will definitely be returning”
