“Fire door on bottom of the stairs near exit door does not close properly as you enter the apartment, the living room plug on wall is coming off ,in bedroom the bed the lats are broken, resulting putting mattresses on floor, wardrobe backs broken, not ladies bins in any of the bathroom, carpet grips under doors screws not put in properly,”
“Wanted a half and half pizza which wasn’t available to order on the app, called the store and they were very helpful, told me to put my order in and then call to change my pizza to half and half. So this is what I did! The pizza was very nice, hot and fresh, and the base was perfectly cooked, not anaemic like some Domino’s seem to serve it.”
“Tucked away in the back streets of Huddersfield - what a surprise. Delightful outside and tastefully decorated inside, my photos don't do it justice. The staff were excellent, friendly, welcoming and very efficient. My friend and I had a two course Christmas lunch. Beautifully presented, not as good to eat. The roast potatoes weren't crispy, the sausage in the pig in blanket wasn't very nice and the stuffing was typically 'Paxo' but the greens, mash, turkey and gravy were lovely. The Christmas pudding also wasn't to my taste, huge lumps of fruit with nuts on the outer rim, quite nasty, my friend however enjoyed it. Just shows its all a matter of taste.”
“Lovely place, the staff were super attentive and the food was delicious.... My partner has one of the specials, spinach and pumpkin burger, which she adored. I had chicken and chips, it had some French sounding name that I can't remember for the life of me, but it was outstanding. The atmosphere was very calm and professional, we felt relaxed and kind of at home. I highly recommend this place, I would bet that lots of people come here for dates. Thank you for a great start to our day.”
“Really welcoming, food it lovely. Cooked fresh when you order. Definitely be going back.”
“Rung order in. Picked up in half hour, was ready and waiting. First time eating here. Got discount for over £15 order. Absolutely amazing food, 1 portion will feed 2 people. Definitely order here again”
“Great Fish and chips. Large portions. And the mushy peas were good too. Lovely and warm food”
“Went in for a breakfast with my 6 year old daughter and wife . The value was good and the produce was quality. Will defo be going again. The manager looked after us really well and nothing was too much trouble.”
“Really good food, we had a lovely Sunday roast and the small was extremely large. Delicious ! Service amazing and friendly, excellent value for money, but that’s not the draw here, just a lovely place to be and eat, thank you”
“Great flat white, best I’ve tried in Huddersfield. Tasty coffee and silky milk. The staff were friendly. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Ground floor had loads of windows, the basement floor was dark and quiet, probably great for working.”
“Nice, friendly pub. Decent selection of beers. Food was spot on. Staff are excellent. Please use pubs like this or we will lose them!”
“First time visit, superb Sunday lunch for mum's birthday. Amazing pea and ham soup followed tender sirloin of beef.”
“The first time here has been recommended. So we gave it a go. Looked at the place before setting off as it would be dark before we arrived. I'm glad we did as the rear parking can be easily missed. The restaurant layout was great. We loved the decoration and seating. We ordered two starters and two mains, plus rice, chips, and a garlic nan.”
“We had a lovely meal here on Friday evening. The staff were friendly and attentive. The starters were excellent. The smoked mozzarella croquette was gorgeous. We then shared a pizza and a salad which is a good job as the pizza was yummy but huge. A bottle of nice Sicilian white wine was £22. Two starters, one pizza, one salad and the wine was £30 each including a tip. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends.”
“Super friendly staffs, we arrived around 6pm and they ran out of cabbage & mushroom pierogi, ordered Russian(cheese) and meat pierogi instead, I don’t like cheese at all but the skin of the dumplings not only made it edible but makes it feel like this is how cheese should be eaten. Same good quality with meat pierogi. They sprinkled generous amounts of bacon bits over the dumplings as the finishing touch adding more flavor to an already tasty dish.”
“Came across this place randomly on social media and decided to pay a visit as was in the area. Lovely little tap room, friendly knowledgeable staff, and a nice range of beers on tap. More interesting beers than the now commercial Magic Rock so we'll be back when next in the area for sure. They also have various food pop ups and open deck nights, nice to see some variation. YoYo the beer monkey also enjoyed it so it's five stars from us!”
“A lovely delightful charming cafe , with friendly welcoming staff . Food quality superb butchers products all delivered to your table with a friendly smile, definitely a huge 10/10”
“Lovely people. Food was hot fresh and delicious loved it”
“Amazing homemade tasting food. Highly recommended if you want authentic Indian food.”
“Absolutely Amazing Fish n Chips, wont be my last visit”
“I haven’t had a burger of this quality in a long time. The quality of the ingredients that went into the burger is miles better than anything else I have ever tried.”
“Great service and lovely food. Would definitely recommend the breakfast bars... I just love their mushrooms, sausage, spam and egg! Prices are good and you can pre order to collect”
“Another little breakfast gem. Great food, nice folk and large portions. Ordered breakfast burrito and an omelette - both smashing”
“The best breakfast I've had in an age, bar none. A pleasant, clean and welcoming place, well lit and comfortably furnished. The staff were welcoming and tolerant of our prevaricating over what to have for breakfast. We all chose brunch options - eggs benedict; sourdough with avocado; and, sourdough with beetroot; plus a side of pancakes! I had the beetroot dish - Whipped Feta & Beets. Toasted sourdough with chilled pickled beets and a poached egg was an unexpected winner - the warmth of the bread with the flavour and chill of the beets, combined with the whipped feta, were a sensation. Sense of taste, texture and temperature running riot in my mouth with every bite. I had a large black Americano to wash it down - a flavoursome coffee - and felt genuine disappointment as I savoured the final mouthful of beets and bread, Great breakfast venue, thoroughly recommended.”
“Spent 2 nights here and would recommend without hesitation. We booked a special offer which included two glasses of prosecco, a suite and breakfast. Our room was spacious, warm with a lovely view. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely romantic two night break and will definitely be back!”
“An AMAZING place. The atmosphere is so chilled and so cool. The bar is small and humble but hey don’t mess about with the Ales; lots of local brews to pass many hours! The cocktail list is extensive, varied with classics and new recipes and are fairly cheap but excellent all across the board. The pizzas are incredible. For the value they are the best pizza in town; all veggie options, you choose 3 toppings then anything else is extra. Fully recommend Hummus on the pizza. Bar Maroc is a place to go on all occasions and energy levels; want an ale? want a night out? Want to simply sit with a brew and read? All is possible at all times and all are welcome. The bar below ‘Small Seeds’ (see photo of ‘The Good Earth Collective’ playing, attached) is brilliantly and wonderfully decorated. Drinks and pizzas available down here from the same owners as upstairs. Great live music venue and great music there after.”
“First time visiting parish for a gig since the venue moved. Really enjoyed the space and atmosphere, menu looked great but didn't order food. The gig space upstairs is ace, perfectly formed with great sound and awesome visibility of the stage. Love this place.”
“This is a great, welcoming and cosy place. The food is really good tasty and hearty fare. I had the Whitby scampi and will again. A cut above any scampi I've ever had. A nice half of cask ale and a perfect lunch.”
“Amazing fried chicken. The boneless fillet was a whole chicken breast! Deliciously seasoned, juicy and perfectly cooked. Best fried chicken I’ve ever had! And the dip was Cajun tomato, homemade and fresh.”
