“Had a one night stay here last Friday. Room was very comfortable. No air conditioning but there was a pedestal fan in the room which was effective. The shower was amazing. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. All the staff we met (Jane, Sue and Tonia) were really friendly and helpful.”

“Held a surprise birthday for my Girlfriend and her family here and I have to say the atmosphere, music, food and drink was exceptional. Great place if you need an exquisite ambience and a good food. I recommend the sea food pasta always.Its also very affordable, paid £190 total for food, drinks and wine for all 9 guests that celebrated with us”

“My family and I recently had a fantastic experience at Valentinos. The restaurant manager, Carlos, was the consummate host, with a comprehensive command of the menu, and able to offer a brilliant recommendation. Our drinks waiter, Giorgio, was extremely attentive and interacted wonderfully with our children; and Ryan, who dealt with our food, treated us like royalty. A class act all round.”

“Absolutely amazing food, we go often here when the buffet is on the staff are the most lovely staff we haven’t come across any staff in any restaurant more friendly the female manager especially. All the staff are so good with my little girl and let her choose where she sits if it’s not too busy. Would 100% recommend:)”

“Best Ibis we stayed at! Great location, close to Leeds, Xscape and outlet village. Room very spacious with big bathroom, big TV, comfy beds, tea, coffee, kettle and water available in the room. Highly recommended!”

“Had a lovely 3 night stay here with my daughter. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are genuinely friendly and take time to engage with their guests - we really felt welcomed. The buffet breakfast selection was good and items regularly replenished. The location is very central - it's an easy walk from the station, and public transport is good. Also lots of cafes, bars and eating places nearby. We took local buses to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and to Sandal Castle, and hopped on Wakefield's free bus to get to and from the Hepworth Gallery. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Deli Delight is my favourite place for dessert, although I usually get it delivered because I have a baby and am often stuck at home early in the evening. Mint chocolate is my kryptonite and they do a mint chocolate sundae which is divine! Two different types of mint ice cream! Much better than the other dessert shops in Wakey, especially the big famous one which takes absolutely ages to be delivered and often the orders are incorrect or just not very nice. I much prefer this family run establishment over any chains.”

“A warm welcome when we came, the bed was comfy, not much around the motel cafe open 24 hours, burger takeaway next door, or a very nice Indian Ali's Lounge restaurant up the road. Full English for breakfast was very nice, no grease on the plate”

“We have been today the 8th of May. Absolutely fantastic service from Paul in the spa, we have been before so knew where everything was. Lovely time in the pool and jacuzzi and not overcrowded. We had a afternoon tea booked after and they brought the time forward for us as we requested with no problem at all. We were served promptly by Paul again who asked if we had enjoyed the spa,which we had. Gorgeous food and choice of sandwiches and cakes. Absolutely spot on. Well worth a visit.”
