“An eclectic selection of furniture and other items, from a variety of local sources. The owners are charming and incredibly helpful. The range is constantly changing, so this is somewhere you want to visit in person, although they do advertise on local Facebook selling pages, too. There is a low step to enter the shop, but it is practicable by a wheelchair: either a manual, or an electric wheelchair if you have a curb climber. Staff more than happy to assist.”

“Let me start of by saying that this is my regular coffee store, there are many reasons as to why I choose this particular store and here they are. The staff are always kind and welcoming, no matter the weather or what type of day they are having. They are very careful with the safety measures with all this coronavirus going around. The coffee and other drinks always taste lovely and fresh. The food is delicious and fresh, I always grab a chocolate twist which is fresh and powdery or a warm ham and cheese toastie. The tables are always clean and as soon as someone leaves the staff come over and wipe the tables instantly. Good choice of drinks especially during different seasons! My favourite is the ginger bread hot chocolate during Christmas time. Cups and glasses always look clean and brand new.”

“We nipped in this morning for a quick Sunday morning breakfast. We’ve been coming here since it was Sebby’s and has generally been a nice reliable place for breakfast and brunch. I was quite impressed by the menu, it had a nice mix of traditional brunchy style stuff with a few more exciting dishes like a szechuan pork belly dish, and smashed peas on toast. I had the black bean hash with extra bacon (usually comes with chorizo but I’m not a big fan) while my husband had a veggie halloumi breakfast bun thing. Both were really tasty. Every part of my meal was cooked well, and the potatoes were so crisp and fluffy. My only criticism was that it was a little over salted even in the absence of bacon. The egg and crème fraiche balanced it out a little though. But overall I’d order it again and it was exceptional value for money given the portion size and the quality of the food. Service was friendly and swift, and there was a steady flow of people through the cafe without being overwhelming so the atmosphere was nice. Would have loved to buy a breakfast pastry but it was only cake on offer at the counter (albeit delicious looking cake!) I ordered a chai latte which was creamy and spicy and served in generous sized cup. One of the nicer chai lattes I’ve had. Overall I paid £30 for the two of us, which I think is very reasonable given the quality of the food and drink. We will continue to come here, and I’m keen to try a few of the other menu items. We’ve been going to a few similar style places in Leeds for breakfast and while others have dipped in service/range/food quality, Loaf seems to have maintained its high standards.”

“I had a great experience in Mango York last night. Falling through their door 2 minutes before they were due to close freezing cold in search of a black cardigan. I explained to the lady I first met and she made radio contact with another member of staff. The hunt was on. Staff found me several options and one which was perfect. I bought something that I really liked picked by staff and that warmed me up. Thank you for your kindness and patience especially when you were due to close!”

“Only had donner kebabs from here. They are full and nicely done. The meat is thinly sliced and never tough. Only gripe is the lack of chilli sauce, kebabs should have hot chilli sauce but they all use the same minty type sauce that just isn't right in my opinion. Anyway. Kebabs are good :)”
